2.Reflection on Medical Treatment of Multi-drug Resistance Tuberculosis: The Necessity of Chinese Medicine Holistic View.
Chinese Journal of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine 2015;35(12):1517-1521
Causative factors of multi-drug resistance tuberculosis (MDR-TB) were analyzed from iatrogenic angles, patients themselves, and society. Reviewed was the development of treatment strategies for MDR-TB from directly observed treatment short-course (DOTS) to DOTS-Plus. The history of Chinese medicine (CM) fighting TB and characteristics at the present stage were also analyzed. Authors pointed out that CM pays attention not only to killing pathogens and confirms the necessity of getting rid of pathogens, but also to cascade response caused by pathogens. It also regards the occurrence and development of MDR-TB as a whole by combining patients' conditions, climatic, geographic, psychological, and social factors. Authors believed that therapeutic principles under guidance of CM holistic view are of positive significance and inspiration in treating MDR-TB, and emphasized holistic view as basic strategies for treating MDR-TB, but not a single countermeasure.

4.Comparative Study by TCD on the Realtime Effect of Scalp Cluster Acupuncture versus Nape Cluster Acupuncture for Vertigo Due to Cerebral Circulation Insufficiency
Shanghai Journal of Acupuncture and Moxibustion 2015;(1):19-21
Objective To compare the realtime effects of scalp cluster acupuncture versus nape cluster acupuncture on the cerebral blood flow in patients with vertigo due to cerebral circulation insufficiency (CCI). Methods Fifty-seven patients with vertigo due to CCI were randomized into a treatment group of 29 cases and a control group of 28 cases. The treatment group was intervened by scalp cluster acupuncture, while the control group was by nape cluster acupuncture. The systolic blood flow velocity (Vs), diastolic blood flow velocity (Vd), and mean blood flow velocity (Vm) of the middle cerebral artery (MCA), internal carotid artery (ICA), basilar artery (BA), posterior inferior cerebellar artery (PICA), and vertebral artery (VA) were observed before and after intervention by Transcranial Doppler (TCD). Results After intervention, the Vs, Vd, and Vm of MCA, ICA, BA, PICA and VA were significantly changed in the treatment group (P<0.01, P<0.05). The blood velocities of MCA, ICA, VA, and PICA were significantly changed after intervention in the control group (P<0.01). The Vs and Vm of BA were significantly changed in the control group after intervention (P<0.05). There were no significant differences in comparing the blood velocities of the observed arteries between the two groups after intervention (P>0.05). Conclusion Scalp cluster acupuncture and nape cluster acupuncture both can improve the Vs, Vd, and Vm of the low-velocity cerebral arteries.
5.Non-traditional antiarrhythmic medicines for atrial fibrillation
Journal of China Pharmaceutical University 2010;41(1):86-90
Atrial fibrillation is the most common arrhythmia in clinical practice. However, the therapeutic effects of traditional antiarrhythmic medicines are far from satisfactory, because of the high rate of arrhythmia recurrence and the potential proarrhythmia effect.Recently, with the further investigation of the mechanisms that initiate and perpetuate atrial fibrillation, and the support of extensive data from clinical trials and animal experiments,thera-peutics based on anti-inflammation,antioxidation,regulation on renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system(RAAS)and gap junction may be new therapeutic targets for the treatment of arrhythmia. In this paper, the potential molecular mechanisms involved in these processes and several clinical trials about some non-traditional antiarrhythmic medi-cines were reviewed,in order to propose a new idea about the development of antiarrhythmic medicines.
6.THE CHANGE OF Brn-4 mRNA EXPRESSION IN RAT HIPPOCAMPUS AFTER FIMBRIA/FORNIX TRANSECTION
Acta Anatomica Sinica 1957;0(04):-
Objective To investigate the difference of Brn-4 mRNA expression between the fimbria/fornix-transected rats and normal ones. Methods Forty-two SD rats were randomly divided into 7 groups,6 rats in each group. One group served as normal control and the others served as fimbria/fornix transected 1st,3rd,7th,14th,21st and 28th day group, respectively. Then hippocampi were isolated and total RNA was extracted.Semi-quantitative reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) method was used in detection of the expression change of Brn-4 mRNA in hippocampus after fimbria/fornix transection. Results The expression level of Brn-4 mRNA started to increase on the 3 days after fimbria/fornix transection. The peak appeared on the 14 days, then decreased slowly to pre-transection level on the 28 days. Conclusion The process that the expression of Brn-4 mRNA increases significantly after fimbria/fornix transection, perhaps, might be related to the transplanted neural stem cells(NSCs) differentiating into neurons and AChE positive neurons in hippocampus.

10.Expression of cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator in rat ovary.
Journal of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Medical Sciences) 2008;28(5):584-7
The protein expression of cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR), a cAMP-activated Cl(-) channel, in ovarian stimulated premature female rat ovary during a cycle of follicle development and corpus luteum formation was investigated. Animals were injected with 10 U pregnant Mare's serum gonadotropin (PMSG) and subsequently 10 U hCG 48 h later. Time-dependent immunohistochemistry and Western blotting experiments were performed before and 24, 48, 72 h after hCG treatment. The immunohistochemistry revealed that administration of PMSG stimulated the CFTR expression in thecal cell layer and granulosa cell layer of mature follicles 48 h post injection, coincident with the PMSG-induced peak in follicular estradiol. However, the expression of CFTR in the granulose lutein cell layer and thecal lutein cell layer was time-dependently reduced following hCG injection, in accordance with the gradually increased progestogen level during luteum corpus formation. Western blotting analysis demonstrated that rat ovarian tissue expressed the special CFTR band at 170 kD. It is concluded that cAMP-dependent Cl(-) channels are involved in regulation of follicle development and luteum formation.
