1.Adverse Drug Reactions of Our Hospital in 2005~2006:Analysis of 377 Cases
China Pharmacy 1991;0(05):-
OBJECTIVE:To study the occurrences of adverse drug reactions(ADR)in our hospital for references of rational use of drugs in the clinic.METHODS:A total of 377 ADR cases collected in our hospital during the period 2005~2006 were analyzed statistically in respect of patients' age and sex, drug kinds, clinical manifestations and route of administration etc.RE-SULTS:Of the total 377 ADR cases, the number of drug kinds involved totaled 118,with antiinfective drugs taking the lead, accounting for 46.61%(55 kinds),283 cases were given intravenously.Lesions of skin and the appendants were the chief ADR types(49.87%);there were 17 severe cases.CONCLUSION:Great importance should be attached to ADR monitoring in the clinic.
2.Experimental observation on efficacy of Cangshu componud disinfecant to indoor air disinfection in clean workshop
Chinese Journal of Modern Applied Pharmacy 2001;18(1):75-76
OBJECTIVE:To observe the efficacy of Cangshu compound disinfectant to indoor air disinfection in clean workshop.METHODS:The plate sedimenation method was used for air sampling and the efficacy was compared between cangshu compound disinfectant and formaldehyde disinfectant.RESULTS:The number of bacterial colonies in the air after disinfection were less than the standard of GMP.CONCLUSION:The method was suitable for the air disinfection in clean workshop.

A rapid, sensitive, label-free and separation-free analytical method for determination of melamine ( MA) was developed based on surface enhanced Raman scattering ( SERS ) effect of gold nanoparticles. Through tri-sodium citrate reduction method, gold nanoparticles with average diameter of 30 nm were obtained. The melamine detection platform was constructed after self-assembling 4-mercapto phenylboronic acid (4-MPBA) on the surface of gold nanoparticles through Au S covalent bond. When MA existed in solution, 4-MPBA functionalized gold nanoparticles would aggregate because of strong hydrogen bond interaction between MA and 4-MPBA. Moreover, following increase of the concentration of MA, gold nanoparticles would aggregate more intensively and form more hot spots. As a result, Raman signal of 4-MPBA and MA was enhanced greatly. The characteristic Raman peaks of 4-MPBA and MA respectively located at 1076 cm-1 and 715 cm-1 . Hence, the qualitative and quantitative detection for MA were realized based on the ratio value of I715 cm-1 to I1076 cm-1 . The linear range of MA detection was 0 . 1 μmol/L-1. 5 μmol/L. The limit of detection (LOD) reached 0. 02 μmol/L in terms of three times signal to noise.

Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of spiral CT [CT arterial portography (CTAP) and CT hepatic arteriography(CTHA)] for hepatic carcinoma. Methods The CTAP and CTHA manifestations in 21 patients with hepatocelluar carcinoma were analyzed and compared with those in three-phase enhanced CT . Results The detection rate of three-phase enhanced CT was 72.4% , CTAP and CTHA was 96.1% and 88.2% respectively. The detection rate of combination CTAP and CTHA was 98.7% . They could reveal tumors of 0.5 cm in diameter . Both CTAP and CTHA gave false-positive findings , such as perfusion defects in 22.3% of CTAP and non-pathologic enhancement in 30.2% of CTHA .Conclusion With the use of spiral CT technique , the quantity of contrast material administrated in CTAP and CTHA can be considerably reduced . And the quality of CT images significantly improved . The detection rate of CTAP and CTHA is higher than that of three-phase enhanced CT . Simultaneous use of both procedures may decrease the false-positive rate.

Objective To investigate the therapeutic effect of Saccharomyces boulardii on antibiotics associated diarrhea (AAD)in infant pneumonia. Methods 302 hospitalized infant patients (1 month-3 years) with pneumonia but without gastroenteric disease were selected , and antibiotics were administrated intravenously at least 5 continuous days for each patient .Patients were all giv-en antibiotics and randomly divided into three groups:control group with no Saccharomyces boulardii administration ( group A, 60 ca-ses);Saccharomyces boulardii were applied as addition on the occurrence of diarrhea (group B, 92 cases), and Saccharomyces boular-dii and antibiotics were co-administrated (group C, 150 cases).Incidences of AAD in all groups were carefully examined and differ-ences of therapeutic effect between groups were compared and analyzed .Results The incidence of AAD in Group C was significantly lower than that in other groups .In term of diarrhea severity, no significant difference was observed in all groups (P>0.05).Howev-er, duration of diarrhea showed significant different between groups (P<0.001):group A with the longest duration and group C with the shortest .The results indicated that the total efficiency of anti-diarrhea in group C was significantly higher than that in control group (P<0.05).However, group B presented no significant difference compared with neither control group nor group C in term of therapeu -tic effect on diarrhea .Conclusion Administration of Saccharomyces boulardii Sachets could shorten the duration of diarrhea on the oc-currence of AAD in infant pneumonia .According to our results , Saccharomyces boulardii was effective in both preventing the develop-ment of AAD and shortening duration of diarrhea , and therefore improved therapeutic effect on ADD .

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2004;21(6):910-912
The high SNR (Signal-to-Noise) spectra from 20 cases of gastric carcinoma and normal mucosa were obtained by confocal Raman microspectroscopy. Consistent spectral features were observed at different sites of one tissue slice for both typical tissues. Raman spectra of normal gastric mucosa shows two peaks which are assigned to amide I vibration of proteins in 1640-1670(cm(-1)) spectral region. However, in gastric carcinoma, only one peak of amino I vibrational mode of proteins can be observed. The obviously different spectral characters of the two types of tissues are in accordance to clinicopathologic diagnosis. The result shows Raman spectroscopy might be a potential method in the diagnosis of gastric carcinoma.
