Summing up years of experiences in teaching for seven-year program,we look on exerting students' enthusiasm and attaching importance to cultivating students' ability as our golden rules, and take some reformative measures to improve physiology teaching quality for long-term system, including adjustment of curricular structure, optimizing teaching methods, strengthening class discussion, performing summary lessons, reforming experiment courses and carrying out simple research design.
2.Case-based discussion——A bridge links physiology and clinics
Basic & Clinical Medicine 2006;0(06):-
To design a case-based discussion pedagogy in physiology teaching so as to help students understanding basic medicine combined with clinical medicine. First of all, a teacher should find a typical case with intention. Furthermore, under the guidance of the teacher, students are encouraged to discuss the case and to answer the questions on the basis of the physiological knowledge that they have learned. Finally, the teacher should pay attention to collecting the feedback from students for the improvement of teaching level.

A teaching method called cross-disciplinary joint teaching, which integrated the neural system-based physiology, anatomy and histology from gross morphology to micmstructure, then to physiological function, was carried out on 2010 clinical eight-year program medical students.Jointteaching method was carried out throughout the whole courses. That means in three subjects related to the discipline, teachers compile the textbook, discuss teaching scheme, compile cases, collectively prepare lessons, and attend lectures and discussion together.Flexible teaching forms such as casebased teaching,problem-based teaching and bilingual teaching were also run through the whole processes of the teaching.Compared with the traditional teaching model,cross-disciplinary joint teaching not only achieves the integration of morphology, microstructure and functions of nervous system, but also has a priority of helping the students to develop a more efficient learning ability such as initiative study and thinking extension.

Objective: To investigate all trans retinoid Acid (ATRA) inhibition of cell growth in human retinoblastoma Y79 cells, and its mechanism. Methods: Antiproliferation effects of ATRA on Y79 cells were determined by 3 H thymidine incorporation. Cell cycle analysis was performed by flow cytometry. JNK phosphorylation was analyzed by Western blot analysis. Results: After 36 h treatment with 10 -6 mol?L -1 ATRA, 3 H thymidine incorporation decreased to 40%, under the same condition, Y79 cells were arrested in G 0 /G 1 and Sub G 1 peak appeared. Curcumin, JNK blocker, blocked the growth inhibition by ATRA. JNK was phosphorylated in 10 to 20 min. Conclusion: JNK phosphorylating mediated ATRA inhibition of apoptosis in Y79 cells. These results suggested that ATRA might have clinical application for treatment of retinoblastoma.

The cross-disciplinary form-function joint teaching of nervous system centered on organ was carried out in the Second Military Medical University for medical students of the eight-year system according to its actual situation. The nervous system was selected as the teaching content and problem-based learning was used, with the fusion of three aspects of knowledge of histology and embryology, physiology and human anatomy and the integration of teachers from different disciplinarians. The effect was good.

Objective To analyze the distribution, survival conditions, and medical support of newly diagnosed occupational pneumoconiosis (hereinafter referred to as pneumoconiosis) patients in Zhangdian District, Zibo City. Methods A total of 1 189 newly diagnosed pneumoconiosis patients in Zhangdian District from 1956 to 2019 were selected as the study subjects using retrospective method. Data of their age of onset, years of occupational exposure, category of working industry, type of pneumoconiosis, and status of medical support was collected and analyzed. Results The median and the 25th-75th percentiles [M (P25, P75)] of the age of onset were 51.8 (45.5, 56.1) years, and the mortality was 37.0%. The majority of pneumoconiosis cases were silicosis (45.2%) and coal workers' pneumoconiosis (39.8%). The highest prevalence of pneumoconiosis was in the coal mining and washing industry (42.4%), followed by manufacturing (33.4%). Pneumoconiosis patients in stage Ⅰ,Ⅱ, and Ⅲ accounted for 89.1%, 8.7%, and 2.2%, respectively. The M (P25, P75) of the length of work exposed to dust were 24.1 (16.5, 29.9) years. The higher stage of pneumoconiosis the shorter of the length of work exposed to dust among these pneumoconiosis patients(all P<0.05). The overall survival rate, the 5-year survival rate and the 10-year survival rate of these pneumoconiosis patients were 63.0%, 92.3% and 85.9%, respectively. Among the 749 surviving cases, 60.8% were aged 60.0 to <80.0 years. In terms of social security, 100.0% surviving cases enjoyed basic medical insurance, meanwhile, 96.1% and 81.8% patients were covered by major medical insurances and occupational injury insurances, respectively. The M (P25, P75) of age at death were 73.1 (64.0, 77.1) years. The main causes of death were respiratory diseases (59.3%) and malignant tumors (20.4%). Conclusion The prevalent types of pneumoconiosis in Zhangdian District, Zibo City, are coal workers' pneumoconiosis and silicosis. Medical support and assistance are relatively limited. The pneumoconiosis prevention and control focus should be on silicosis and coal workers' pneumoconiosis, particularly in the manufacturing industry.

Canine T-zone lymphoma (TZL) is a mature T-cell lymphoma in dogs. The diagnosis and sub-classification are impossible without biopsy or immunophenotyping by flow cytometry. An 11-year-old, spayed, female Golden Retriever presented with lymph node enlargement. Clinical examination was consistent with canine multicentric lymphoma. However, immunophenotyping revealed positive for CD3, CD4, CD5, CD8, CD21, TCRαβ, and MHCII but negative for CD34, CD45, CD79a, and TCRγδ. Histopathology revealed lymphocytes expanding to the cortex-preserving architecture and thinning of the nodal capsule, and CD3 positive but PAX-5 negative. Owing to the indolent nature of TZL, careful monitoring approach without clinical intervention was utilized.
