Prostaglandin E_2(PGE_2)is one of the major metabolic products of arachidonic acid.PGE_2 plays important roles in various important physiological processes by binding to its G protein-coupled receptors designated EP1,EP2,EP3,and EP4,respectively.EP receptors are highly expressed in the kidney and cardiovascular system, and PGE2-mediated activation of EP receptors plays important roles in the regulation of blood pressure. The abnormal expression of EP receptors in the kidney and cardiovascular system is associated with some blood pressure disease such as salt-sensitive hypertension, renal hypertension, and myocardial hypertrophy.

OBJECTIVE To analyze the clinical features of 8 patients with sigmoid sinus diverticulum and to improve the level of diagnosis and treatment. METHODS The tinnitus patients were asked in detail about the history, and performed a series of routine hearing tests (pure tone audiometry, acoustic impedance audiometry, otoacoustic emission inspection and brainstem auditory evoked potential (BAEP) etc.) and temporal bone HRCT scan. Eight cases were diagnosed with sigmoid sinus diverticulum, in which six cases undertook a surgery to reconstruct the sinus wall while the other 2 cases chose conservative treatment. RESULTS The diagnosis of 6 cases was proved to be correct by surgery, and the pulsatile tinnitus disappeared after reconstructing the sinus wall. No one recurred after following up from 2 to 12 months. Two cases of conservative treatment had no obvious improvement in symptoms. CONCLUSION Clinical manifestation, hearing examination, temporal bone CT/HRCT and Cranial CTA/CTV contributed to the diagnosis of sigmoid sinus diverticulum. Sinus wall reconstruction is a better approach.

OBJECTIVETo compare the perioperative complications between Ivor-Lewis approach and McKeown approach in minimally invasive esophagectomy and gastric tube reconstruction for the treatment of middle and lower thoracic esophageal cancer.
METHODSRetrospective analysis of clinical data was performed on 288 patients with middle and lower thoracic esophageal cancer who underwent completely minimally invasive esophagectomy by one surgical team in Fujian Medical University Union Hospital from December 2010 to March 2014. Among the 288 patients, 103 patients underwent combined laparoscopic and thoracoscopic esophagectomy and intrathoracic esophagogastric anastomosis using a transoral anvil(Orvil)(Ivor-Lewis group, 2-incision) and 185 patients underwent combined laparoscopic and thoracoscopic esophagectomy and cervical anastomosis(McKeown group, 3-incision). Patients were stratified by surgical approach and perioperative outcomes were compared between the two groups.
RESULTSThere were no statistical differences between two groups in intra-operative blood loss, conversion to open, extubation time, time to resume oral intake, postoperative hospital stay, the median number of lymph nodes resected. The operation time of Ivor-Lewis group was significantly shorter than that of McKeown group [(283.4±32.0) min vs. (303.6±43.7) min, P=0.003). The hospital cost of Ivor-Lewis group was significantly higher than that of McKeown group [(76 492±18 553) yuan vs. (68 923±17 331) yuan, P<0.01]. There were no statistical differences between two groups in chylothorax, delayed gastric emptying, atrial fibrillation, postoperative bleeding, admission to ICU, short-term postoperative mortality (P>0.05). The total postoperative complication morbidity of Ivor-Lewis group was significantly lower than that of McKeown group(16.5% vs. 31.4%, P<0.01). Ivor-Lewis group had lower pulmonary complication(8.7% vs. 25.9%, P<0.01), anastomotic leakage(1.9% vs. 13.0%, P<0.01), anastomotic stricture (0% vs. 4.9%, P<0.05), recurrent laryngeal nerve injury(1.0% vs. 7.0%, P<0.05).
CONCLUSIONIvor-Lewis approach is associated with less postoperative complications, but higher cost as compared to McKeown approach in the treatment of middle and lower thoracic esophageal cancer.

Objective:
Imaging modalities such as intravascular ultrasonography or computed tomography or angiography have shown limitations in assessing coronary calcification. In this study, we investigated whether quantitative indices of optical coherence tomography (OCT) in calcified lesions are correlated with the late outcome of a coronary stent.
Methods:
We consecutively enrolled patients who had more than grade 2 coronary calcification on fluoroscopy. OCT was performed at baseline, immediately after stenting, and at 9 months after stenting. We analyzed qualitative and quantitative characteristics of plaque, calcification, and stent-related indices.
Results:
All images of 3-time points were available in a total of 10 patients. Calcified lesions were frequently associated with thin cap fibroatheroma (100%), plaque erosion (20%), or rupture (20%) before the procedure. Thrombus was found in 100% of cases in the OCT immediately after stenting. Maximal calcium area before stenting was strongly correlated with late luminal loss assessed by 9-month follow-up OCT (r= 0.766, P= 0.01).
Conclusion
Preprocedural OCT assessment on calcified coronary lesion may predict high-risk procedure and late stent outcome. Further studies are warranted to confirm these findings.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2019;21(11):1605-1608
Objective:
To explore the safety and effectiveness of 3D reconstruction in thoracoscopic posterior basal segmentectomy (S10).
Methods:
Between March 2018 to September 2018, 14 patients underwent thoracoscopic anatomical resection of the posterior basal segment of the lung (S10).
Results:
Of the 14 patients, including 5 males and 9 females, age (52.2±5.3)years, size (1.1±0.6)cm, 6 left S10 and 8 right S10. The number of pathological type of microinvasive adenocarcinoma, benign nodule, and metastatic carcinoma was 12, 1, and 1 cases. The average preoperative planning time was (44.9±5.7)min, and the average operation time was (134.8±26.3)min. The blood loss was (25.5±4.1)ml, with (8.1±2.7) lymphadenectomy, no positive metastasis. The coincidence rate of 3D reconstruction and intraoperative anastomosis in the tumor location, B10, A10, and V10 were 100%(14/14), 100%(14/14), 93%(13/14) and 71%(10/14). The median duration of chest tube insertion was (2.3±2.1)day. The incidence of postoperative complications was 21%(3/14), including 7%(1/14) of air leakage, 7%(1/14) of arrhythmia, 14%(2/14) of pulmonary infection, and 14%(2/14) of operation. All the cutting edge was >2 cm. There was no perioperative death, no conversion to thoracotomy or lobectomy. The mean follow-up time was (8.1±2.2)months. There were no recurrence, metastasis or death in the 14 patients. One patient had chronic cough and no hemoptysis.
Conclusions
Preoperative 3D reconstruction make the anatomic thoracoscopic posterior basal segmentectomy (S10) safer and more effective.

Chinese Journal of Trauma 2022;38(12):1106-1111
Objective:To explore the application effect of family-centered empowerment model (FCEM) in rehabilitation nursing of children with femoral shaft fractures treated by skin traction. Methods:A retrospective case-control study was conducted to analyze the clinical data of 107 children with femoral shaft fractures treated with skin traction in Anhui Children′s Hospital from April 2019 to October 2021, including 67 males and 40 females; aged 1.5-5.0 years [2.8(2.0, 3.5)years]. Fracture types included oblique fracture ( n=50), comminuted fracture ( n=26), transverse fracture ( n=14) and spiral fracture ( n=17). FCEM nursing was implemented in 55 patients (family empowerment group) and routine home rehabilitation nursing guidance was performed in 52 patients (routine nursing group). The face, legs, activity, cry, consolability (FLACC) behavioral score on admission and at days 1, 3 and 7 after skin traction, treatment compliance rate at 1 month after skin traction, complication rate at 1 month after skin traction, length of hospital stay and fracture healing time were compared between the two groups. Results:All patients were followed up for 12-18 weeks [13.4(12.7, 13.9)weeks]. There was no significant difference in FLACC behavioral score between the two groups on admission ( P>0.05). The FLACC behavioral score was (4.0±0.7)points,(3.4±0.6)points and (2.4±0.6)points in family empowerment group at days 1, 3 and 7 after skin traction, lower than (4.8±0.7)points, (3.9±0.8)points and (3.3±0.5)points in routine nursing groups (all Ρ<0.01). One month after skin traction, treatment compliance was excellent in 51 patients, good in 4, poor in 0, with treatment compliance rate of 92.7% (51/55) in family empowerment group, and was excellent in 40 patients, good in 9, poor in 3, with treatment compliance rate of 76.9% (40/52) in routine nursing group ( Ρ<0.05). The complication rate was 5.4% (3/55) in family empowerment group, lower than 21.2% (11/52) in routine nursing group ( Ρ<0.05). The length of hospital stay and fracture healing time were (15.6±0.3)days and (7.1±0.8)weeks in family empowerment group, shorter than (16.8±0.3)days and (8.2±0.4)weeks in routine nursing group (all Ρ<0.01). Conclusion:For children with femoral shaft fractures treated by skin traction, nursing using FCEM can alleviate pain, improve treatment compliance, reduce complication rate, reduce hospital stay and shorten fracture healing time.

Nutrition Research and Practice 2024;18(4):523-533
BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES:
Given that adolescents watch Mukbang (eating broadcast) more frequently than other age groups, interest in the potential health effects of watching Mukbang and Cookbang (cooking broadcast) is growing. This study aimed to determine the status of watching Mukbang and Cookbang among Korean adolescents and its relationship with their dietary behaviors.
SUBJECTS/METHODS:
We used data from the 18th Korea Youth Risk Behavior Survey, conducted in 2022 (n = 51,850). The study included the frequency of watching Mukbang and Cookbang and the self-rated impact of watching them. Dietary behaviors included consumption of the following items: fruits (≥ once a day), vegetables (≥ 3 times a day), fast foods (≥ 3 times a week), late-night snacks (≥ 3 times a week), caffeinated drinks (≥ 3 times a week), and sweet-flavored drinks (≥ 3 times a week). Furthermore, obesity, weight loss attempts during the past 30 days, body image distortion, and inappropriate methods to control weight were also included.
RESULTS:
Among adolescents, 70.6% watched Mukbang and Cookbang, and 13.2% watched them more than 5 times a week. Approximately 27.6% of the adolescents responded that they were influenced by watching Mukbang and Cookbang. Adolescents who frequently watched Mukbang and Cookbang consumed less vegetable and fruit; however, the likelihood of consuming fast food, late-night snacks, sugary drinks, and caffeinated drinks increased. In addition, they were more likely to attempt inappropriate weight-loss methods and become obese. Adolescents who responded that their eating habits were influenced by watching Mukbang and Cookbang were more likely to have unhealthy eating behavior compared to the group who responded that their habits were not influenced by these shows.
CONCLUSION
Watching Mukbang and Cookbang is common among Korean adolescents and is associated with unhealthy dietary behaviors. Prospective studies, including broadcasting content, should evaluate the impact of Mukbang and Cookbang on health.
