Purpose To study the relationship between sympathetic nerve and the branches of primary sensory neurons in dominating cervical zygapophyseal joints with the HRP retrograde tracing methods. To explore the mechanism of the external intervertebral foramen's cryical nerve compression syndrome with neck-shoulder pain and the symptom of head and face regions. Methods 8 Wistar rats were used with the right side as experimental side and the left side as control side.5 μl of 30% HRP solution was injected into the C5/C6 cervical zygapophyseal joint capsule of the right side by microinjection syringe and 5 μl of 0.9% normal saline was injected into the left side as control. The animals survived for 48 hours and were killed by perfusing through ascending aorta. The C1-T1 DRG,cervical sympathetic ganglia and trigeminal ganglia on both sides were sectioned by frozen section method, and treated with TMB method. The HRP labeled cells in sections were observed under optical microscope. The classification and count of HRP labeled cells in DRG and cervical sympathetic ganglia on experimental sides were analysed by image pattern analysis system. Results There were HRP labeled cells in middle cervical ganglia, inferior cervical ganglia (stellate ganglia) and C5-C7 DRG on experimental sides after HRP injection. Most of the labeled cells were small or middle size. The sum of mean area and the mean optical density of HRP labeled cells were larger in the middle cervical ganglia and C6 DRG than that in inferior cervical ganglia(stellate ganglia) and C5 or C7 DRG separately (P<0.01).There wasn't any HRP labeled cell in C1-T1 DRG of control side and in trigeminal ganglia. Conclusions The cervical zygapophyseal joint mainly dominated by the sensory branches of the three cervical nerves next to it and by the branches of the sympathetic nerves. It may be related to the causing of neck-shoulder pain and the symptoms of head and face regions of patients with the external intervertebral foramen's cervical nerve compression

Objective To investigate the effect of rocuronium on spectral entropy during induction of general anesthesia in patients of Uygur nstionality. Methods Forty ASA Ⅰ or Ⅱ patients (Uygur nationality) of both sexes, aged 20-50 yr, weighing 45-70 kg, undergoing elective surgery under general anesthesia, were divided into 2 groups ( n = 20 each): normal saline (NS) group and rocuronium group (group R). Anesthesia was induced with target-controlled infusion of propofol. The initial target plasma concentration wan net at 2 μg/ml. The concentration wan then increased by 0.5 μg/ml every 4 min until response entropy (RE) was decreased to 45 and maintained for 4 min. When the plasma concentration was equal to the effect-site concentration, iv rocuronium 0.6 mg/kg was injected in group R, while group NS received the equal volume of NS instead. Fentanyl 3 μg/kg was injected intravenously at 3 min after recuronium administration. The patients were tracheal intubated and mechanically ventilated. State entropy (SE) and RE were recorded immediately before induction (baseline, To), before rocuronium administration (T1), 2 main after rocuronium administration (T2) and at 0, 1, 2 and 3 min after intubation (T3-6). The difference between RE and SE wan calculated. Results The RE value at T3 and T4 and the difference between RE and SE at T2.5 were significantly lower in group R than in group NS ( P < 0.05). Conclusion Rocuronium can decrease the RE value and degree of increase in the difference between RE and SE during induction of general anesthesia in patients of Uygur nationality, which may affect the accuracy of spectral entropy in monitoring the depth of anesthesia.

Objective:To evaluate the clinical efficacy of the modified biplane Chevron osteotomy and autogenous osteochondral transplantation for the treatment of talar cartilage injury with bone cyst. Methods:From February 2016 to February 2019, 26 patients with talar cartilage injury and bone cyst were treated at Department of Orthopaedics, The First Affiliated Hospital to Guangxi Medical University. They were 16 males and 10 females, aged from 22 to 50 years (average, 36.2 years). According to the Hepple classification, there were 5 cases of type Ⅳ and 21 cases of type Ⅴ. The extent and range of talar cartilage injury were evaluated by arthroscopy, the modified biplane Chevron osteotomy of medial malleolus was performed to expose cartilage defects medial to the talus, unstable cartilage was removed thoroughly, sclerotic wall of the bone cyst was freshly treated, and an osteochondral column taken from the non-weight-bearing area of the ipsilateral femoral medial condyle was implanted into the injured area of talar cartilage. The clinical efficacy was evaluated by comparing the ankle-hindfoot scores of American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS), Karlsson ankle scores, visual analogue scale (VAS) and Lysholm ankle scores between preoperation and one year post-operation.Results:All the 26 patients were followed up for an average of 20.6 months (from 12 to 30 months). Follow-up did not observe any postoperative complications like incision infection, cyst recurrence or malunion, or any obvious pain or movement limitation at the donor knee joint. The AOFAS ankle-hindfoot scores were significantly increased from preoperative 64.3±3.9 to 89.5±5.1 one year postoperation, the Karlsson scores were significantly increased from preoperative 60.5±5.5 to 85.2±6.9 one year postoperation, and the VAS scores were significantly decreased from preoperative 6.2±1.1 to 1.8±0.9 one year post-operation (all P<0.05). The Lysholm ankle scores before and after operation were 94.7±1.9 and 94.1±1.8, respectively, showing no significant difference ( P>0.05). Conclusion:In the treatment of talar osteochondral injury and bone cyst, the modified biplane Chevron osteotomy of medial malleolus and autogenous transplantation of osteochondral column can effectively relieve ankle pain and improve ankle function, leading to satisfactory clinical efficacy.

Microsatellite is a genetic marker, explored recently. In order to improve related studies on genetics of Anopheles gambiae, simple sequence repeats of the entire mosquito genome with 1~6 bp nucleotide motifs were analyzed.Abundance and distribution of microsatellites across the A.gambiae genome were analyzed and compared between various (exons, introns and intergenic) regions of all the chromosomes. About 2.14% of the mosquito genome was occupied by SSRs. Chromosome X had the maximum density of SSRs. Abundance orA repeats was similar to C repeats. AC was a little more than two times as abundant much as AG. However, AT and CG repeats were rare. For tri- and tetramer repeats, AGC,AAAC and AAAT predominated while ACG, ACT, AGG, CCG, ATGC, CCCG, ACTG, AACT, ACGT, AGAT, CCGG,ACCT and AGCT were rare. For some pentamer repeats, one was completely absent on a certain chromosome, even on several chromosomes. SSRs in exons of all chromosomes were less abundant than in introns and intergenic regions except for mono- and dimer repeats in exons of chromosome 2L. Abundance and distribution of SSRs on the two arms of each chromosome showed much in common.

Objective: Non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients with epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR)-activating mutations have higher response rate and more prolonged survival following treatment with single-agent EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor (EGFR-TKI) compared with patients with wild-type EGFR. However, all patients treated with reversible inhibitors develop acquired re-sistance over time. The mechanisms of resistance are complicated. The lack of established therapeutic options for patients after a failed EGFR-TKI treatment poses a great challenge to physicians in managing this group of lung cancer patients. This study evaluates the in-fluence of EGFR-TKI retreatment following chemotherapy after failure of initial EGFR-TKI within at least six months on NSCLC pa-tients. Methods:The data of 27 patients who experienced treatment failure from their initial use of EGFR-TKI within at least 6 months were analyzed. After chemotherapy, the patients were retreated with EGFR-TKI (gefitinib 250 mg qd or erlotinib 150 mg qd), and the tumor progression was observed. The patients were assessed for adverse events and response to therapy. Targeted tumor lesions were as-sessed with CT scan. Results:Of the 27 patients who received EGFR–TKI retreatment, 1 (3.7%) patient was observed in complete re-sponse (CR), 8 (29.6%) patients in partial response (PR), 14 (51.9%) patients in stable disease (SD), and 4 (14.8%) patients in progres-sive disease (PD). The disease control rate (DCR) was 85.2%(95%CI=62%-94%). The median progression-free survival (mPFS) was 6 months (95%CI=1-29). Of the 13 patients who received the same EGFR-TKI, 1 patient in CR, 3 patients in PR, 8 patients in SD, and 2 patients in PD were observed. The DCR was 84.6%, and the mPFS was 5 months. Of the 14 patients who received another EG-FR-TKI, 0 patient in CR, 6 patients in PR, 6 patients in SD, and 2 patients in PD were observed. The DCR was 85.7%, and the mPFS was 9.5 months. Significant difference was found between the 2 groups in progression-free survival but not in response rate or disease control rate. Conclusion:Retreatment of EGFR-TKIs can be considered an option after failure of chemotherapy for patients who were
previously controlled by EGFR-TKI treatment.
