1.Application of flipped classroom in training of basic nursing manipulation for undergraduate nursing students
Modern Clinical Nursing 2016;15(4):40-43
Objective To explore the effect of flipped classroom on basic nursing operation training for undergraduate nursing students. Methods One hundred full-time nursing undergraduate students now conducting clinical internship in our hospital were randomized equally into experiment group and control group. The control group was treated with traditional teaching model in three nursing operation modules including intravenous infusion , venous blood collection and intramuscular injection while the teaching methodology of flipped classroom was used in the experiment group. The two groups were compared in terms of performances in theoretical knowledge and skills and the evaluation from the students. Results The achievements of the experiment group was significantly better than those of the control group in respect of achievements in the examinations of three theoretical knowledge and nursing operation skills (P<0.01). More than 88.00%nursing students agreed on the teaching mode in the aspects of learning attitude and knowledge mastering, more than 90.00%nursing students accepted this teaching mode in the aspect of ability and 96.00%of them would like to adopt this mode. Conclusions The methodology of flipped classroom is effective in cultivating the habit of nursing students′autonomous learning. It also stimulates the nursing students′interest in learning and improves the quality of teaching.

Objective To explore the effect of standardized rehabilitation training and acupuncture therapy on knee osteoarthritis(KOA).Methods One hundred KOA patients were evenly divided into the treatment group and the control group by random digits table. The control group were treated by acupuncture plus general functional exercise guidance and the treatment group by standardized rehabilitation training and treatment for 3 courses(10 d as 1 treatment course). After 3 courses, the two groups were observed in terms of knee joint pain, joint function improvement and clinical curative effect.Result After treatment, the treatment group was significantly better than the control group in terms of knee joint pain, joint function improvement and clinical curative effect(all P<0.05 ).Conclusion The standardized rehabilitation training combined with acupuncture therapy may be effective in the reduction of the knee pain and improvement of knee function for patients with osteoarthritis.

Objective To explore the relativity of preoperative health status and perioperative com-plication incidence of aged patients. Methods The chnical data of 3108 old aged people (60 and above 60 years old)who were operated from January 2006 to November 2007 was retrospectively analysed. General e-valuated preoperative health status, and summarized perioperative complication incidence. Results Before operation, 68.7% patients had one or more coexist disease, 41.1% patients had two or more coexist dis-eases, 38.7% had three coexist diseases in the meantime. After operation, one or more complications oc-curred in 21.4% (666/3108)patients, 2.8% (88/3108) patients died because of heart, brain, lung, kidney function failure. Conclusions Aged patients have more coexist diseases, the complications and death rates are higher than those in younger patients. The complications are correlated with preoperative health status and coexist diseases. Some factors could influence the patients rehabilitation, such as heart, brain, lung, kidney function, water-electrolyte balance and blood glucose change.

Objective To explore the effect of risk assessment tracking management in reducing unplanned extubation in patients with tracheal intubation. Methods From January to December 2015,120 patients with tracheal intubation in ICU were selected as the control group with routine nursing care of indwelling endotracheal intubation. From January to November 2016,120 patients with tracheal intubation were selected as the observation group, where the risk assessment and risk management were done on the basis of routine nursing as in the control group. The two groups were compared in terms of tracheal intubation and unplanned extubation related knowledge, the implementation of the risk assessment, the accuracy in risk assessment and the incidence of unplanned extubation.Result The tracheal intubation and unplanned extubation related knowledge in the observation group was lower than that of the control group (P<0.001),The implementation rate of the risk assessment and the accuracy in risk assessment in the observation group were significantly higher than the control group, and the rate of unplanned extubation in the observation group was significantly lower than in the control group (all P<0.01).Conclusion The implementation on risk assessment and extubation-preventing nursing quality tracing management can enhance the awareness and knowledge of preventing trachea cannula exodus, improve the quality of nursing and reduce the rate of unplanned extubation.

Objective To explore the effect of continuing nursing on the rehabilitation of patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) after transurethral resection of prostate (TURP).Methods Toally 128 BPH patients after TURP in our hospital from May 2015 to May 2016 were evenly divided into control group and observation group by random digit table. The patients in the control group were normally guided at discharge and those in the observation group the continuing nursing was done by telephone,WeChat,QQ or family visits for 6 weeks after discharge besides normal guidance. The two groups were compared in terms of self-care ability, treatment compliance, complications and quality of life. Results After the intervention, the scores on health knowledge,self-care ability,self-care responsibility,self-care concept,self-care skills dimension of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group. The treatment compliance was significantly higher than that of the control group and the incidences of complications, including pain, hematuria, urinary intontinerce and retentron and infection, constipation were significantly lower than those of the control group. The scores on quality of life, physical function, role function, cognitive function, emotional function and social function score were significantly higher than those in the control group (all P<0.05).Conclusion The continuing nursing after surgical treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia patients can be effective in the improvements of patient's self-care ability, establishment of healthy life behavior, reduction of complications, promotion of their rehabilitation and ultimately the improvement of their quality of life.
