2.Developing the PLA critical care medicine is critical for advancing the level of battle wound treatment in the new era

Critical care medicine is an emerging unique specialty developed from the later 20th century,since then,it has been enriched with theoretical and practical experiences and becomes the most active subject in the field of clinical medicine.Critical care medicine of the PLA has attained significant achievements in the treatment and research of severe trauma,sepsis,severe heat stroke,multiple organ failure and severe acute pancreatitis.Besides,it stands in the leading position in the organ function maintenance of critically ill patients,continuous hemofiltration and nutrition support in China.Furthermore,critical care medicine plays an important role in the rescue of critically ill patients,medical support and disaster relief.As the relationship between battle wound rescue system and critical care medicine has been increasingly close,transition in the form of war in the new period brings new tasks to battle wound treatment constantly.Combined with the characteristics of information-oriented war condition in the future,developing the PLA critical care medicine and advancing the level of battle wound treatment in the new period point out the direction for the future work of critical care medicine.
3.Tertiary peritonitis: clinical features ,diagnosis and treatment

4.Prevention and treatment of chemotherapy-induced intestinal barrier dysfunction

Chemotherapy has been shown to be effective in the treatment of patients malignancies, however, anticancer drugs, particularly high-dose, also damage other chemosensitive tissues such as the intestinal mucosa, and these adverse effects can impair intestinal mucosal barrier. The derangement in the barrier function plays a central role in the pathophysiology of systemic infection, shock, and sepsis syndrome. The chemotherapy-induced intestinal barrier dysfunction and its prevention and treatment had been reviewed.
5.Nutritional support in organ transplant recipients

Enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) has developed continuously in China for 10 years,including optimizing step by step the perioperative analgesia regimens and goal-oriented fluid therapy.The ERAS principle has been accepted and expanded extensively in the surgery field,meanwhile,ERAS for perioperative care have been proved valueble in shortening hospital stay,reducing complications,improving organ function,reducing surgical stress reaction,accelerating recovery and increasing survival rate.ERAS is in the ascendant,and promotes development of multidisciplinary training and education program,supples of high-quality research evidences and translational clinical applications seem to be the direction of ERAS.And therefore,the content that this paper talks about is of great significance to deepen the research and understanding of ERAS.
7.THE EFFECT OF BRANCHED-CHAIN AMINO ACID ENRICHED SOLUTION ON EARLY POSTOPERATIVE PERIOD

The study compared the effects of the branched-chain amino acid enriched solution with standard.amino acid solution on patients during early postoperative period.Sixteen patients who underwent mode 時ate abdominal operative procedures were divided into study (BCAA) and control groups randomly.Either group of patients received equal amount of nitrogen (0.2g/kg d-1) and energy(l46-167kJ/kg d-1) during the first five postoperative days.Recommended doses of other nutrients were added daily.Nitrogen balance was detemined every day postoperatively.Plasma albumin,fibronectin and amino acid profile as well as other parameters were monitored preoperatively and on 3rd and 6th postoperative days.The results suggested that the nutritional effects of the branched-chain amino acid enriched solution might be superior to that of the standard nutritional amino acid solution on postoperative patients.
8.EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF METABOLIC SUPPORT IN MULTIPLE ORGAN FAILURE

Multiple organ failure (MOF) is a severe complication induced by intra-abdominal sepsis (IAS) in surgical patients. The study was planned to evaluate the role of metabolic support with different formulas of nutrient substants in 42 rabbits of MOF model which was establishei before. The results showed that metabolic support in the early stage of MOF induced by IAS coul increase body weight in varying degree, promote protein synthesis and decrease protein degration in rabbits. Lower non-protein calorie supplied with glucose might decrease stress response, increase nitrogen retention and improve lung function. Overloads of amino acid nitrogen could increase stress response, increase urinary nitrogen excretion and deteriorate the respiratory function.
9.Outcome of intestine fistula patients treated with home enteral nutrition before definitive operation

Objective:The purpose of this study was to assess the outcome of intestine fistula patients treated with home enteral nutrition(HEN) support before definitive operation.Methods:Fifty-eighty patients were divided into HEN support group and hospital enteral nutrition support group when their illness were stable and total enteral nutrition(TEN) were full resumed.All the patients were supervised by the members of nutrition support team.Days of TEN and hospital stay and medical cost was recorded.Plasma protein,body weight and body mass index were measured on the first day of full enteral nutriton and the day enteral nutrition was stop for operation preparation.Results:Nutritional status of the patients improved.There was no significant difference between two groups in nutritional status,complications and duration of TEN.The time patients in HEN group stayed at home was(61.11?27.71) d and in hospital(60.79?17.11) d.The cost in HEN group was less than that in hospital EN support group(140.21?61.2 vs 189.2?72.2 thousand Chinese dollar).Conclusion:Under the close supervise of nutrition support team,HEN is of the same safety and effect and can reduce the time of hospital-stay and medical cost when compared hospital EN.
10.The effect of tacrolimus on intestinal barrier function
