ObjectiveTo explore the changes of the levels of cytokines in patients with first-episode depression and the effect on the levels of cytokines after the treatment with duloxetine.MethodsThe serum levels of interleukin 1 ( IL-1 ),interleukin 6 ( IL-6 ),tumor necrosis factor-alpha ( TNF-αt ),interleukin4 ( IL-4 ),interleukin10(IL-10) were measured in 38 patients with depression before and after duloxetine treatment by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).HAMD score were assessed at pre- treatment and post-treatment to assess curative effect.The control group was 30 healthy individuals.All data were statisticaly analyzed by SPSS.ResultsBefore treatment,the HAMD score and the levels of serum IL-6,TNF-α,IL-1 in first-episode depressant patients were remarkablely higher than those in the control group( IL-6:( 10.66 ± 3.12 ) pg/ml vs (2.72 ± 0.91 ) pg/ml ;TNF-α:(77.49 ±3.12) pg/ml vs (37.48 ±5.87) pg/ml; IL-1:(39.09 ± 3.77 ) pg/ml vs ( 10.31 ± 1.05 ) pg/ml ),the levels of serum IL-4 and IL-10 in first-episode depressant patients were remarkablely lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05,P＜0.01 ).The HAMD score and the levels of serum IL-6,TNF-α,IL-1 in post-treatment were remarkablely lower than pre-treatment (P ＜ 0.05 ),but which were still higher than the control group(P＜ 0.05 ).The levels of serum IL-4 and IL-10 in post-treatment were remarkablely increased than pre-treatment(P＜0.05).The levels of serum IL-6,TNF-α,IL-1 were positively correlated with the HAMD score( r =0.667,0.486,0.727,P ＜0.01 ),but the levels of serum IL-4 and IL-10 were negatively correlated with the HAMD scorae ( r=-0.433,-0.269,P＜0.05,P＜ 0.01 ).ConclusionsThe first-episode depressant patients show immune disorder induced by cytokines.Anti-depressant activity of duloxetine may participate in the regulation of cytokines and Th1/Th2 unbalance.

Objective To study the expression and clinical significance of Mybl2 in Cervical tissues.Methods 74 cases of cervical tissues were obtained from the department of obstetrics and gynecology.The expression level of Mybl2 was detected by Elisa method,and the relationship with clinical pathology was analyzed.Results Elisa results showed that the expression of Mybl2 was significant among inflammation,CINⅠ,CINⅡ,CINⅢ and ICC groups (F=27.39,P＜0.05).The expression level of Mybl2 was higher in the older group that the younger one which were in the same clinical pathology degree,but it was not was significant(P＞0.05).Conclusion The expression levels of Mybl2 were related with the pathological changes of cervix.Disturb expression level of Mybl2 maybe induce the development of cervical cancer.

In recent years, with being gradually developed, three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction based on pathology and medical imaging technology has shown certain value in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. And with its advantages of providing the spatial location, morphological structure and 3D structure relationships with the surrounding tissues and organs, 3D reconstruction technology has played a key role in the early diagnosis, surgical treatment, and accurate evaluation of the treatment effect after surgery of breast cancer. Although the application of 3D reconstruction technology based on pathology and medical imaging is still inadequate, with the continuous development of science and technology, 3D reconstruction technology will play an increasingly important role in the diagnosis, personalized treatment and prognosis assessment of breast cancer.

A three-dimensional finite element model of premaxillary bone and anterior teeth was established with ANSYS 13.0. The anterior teeth were fixed with strong stainless labial archwire and lingual frame. In the horizontal loading experiments, a horizontal retraction force of 1.5 N was applied bilaterally to the segment through hooks at the same height between 7 and 21 mm from the incisal edge of central incisor; in vertical loading experiments, a vertical intrusion force of 1.5 N was applied at the midline of lingual frame with distance between 4 and 16 mm from the incisal edge of central incisor. After loading, solution was done and displacement and maximum principle stress were calculated. After horizontal loading, lingual displacement and stress in periodontal membrane (PDM) was most homogeneous when the traction force was 14 mm from the edge of central incisor; after vertical loading, intrusive displacement and stress in PDM were most homogeneous when the traction force was 12 mm from the incisal edge of central incisor. The results of this study suggested that the location of center of resistance (CRe) of six maxillary anterior teeth is about 14 mm gingivally and 12 mm lingually to incisal edge of central incisor. The location can provide evidence for theoretical and clinical study in orthodontics.

Objective To study the effects of treadmill training on the recovery of neurological function and the expression of IGF-1/IGF-1Rin the brain poat focal cerebral ischemia.Metheods Forty-two male,adult Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into a sham group(n=6),a model group(n=18)and a treadmill exercises group(n=18).Focal cerebral ischemia was induced in the latter two groups by right middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO)using a modified Longa's metheod.The rats in the treadmill exercises group were given treadmill training 6 days a week for 4weeks beginning 24 h after the MCAO. Rats in the sham group and model groups were reared in standard cages and could move frddly. Before being sacrificed at the 7th 14th and 28th day after the MCAO,the rats' neurological function were tested giving modified neurological weverity scores (mNSS). The expression of IGF-1/IGF-1R was detected using the reverse transcriptsae polymersae chain reaction and immunohistochemical methods.Results Neurological runction in the exercises group at the 14th and 28th day was better than in the control group,and IGF-1 and IGF-1Rexpression were significcantly upregulated on the 7th,14th and 28th day after the MCAO.Conclusion Treadmill training can improve neurological function by upregulating the expression of IGF-1 and IGF-1R in the ischemic brain, at least in rats.

Objective To observe the morphology changes in articular cartilage of knee osteoarthritis ( KOA) model rats after intervention with Shudi Jisheng Zhuanggu Decoction (SJZD). Methods SD rats were randomized into 7 groups, namely blank control group, model group, Paracetamol group ( 0.270 g/kg) , Zhuangu Guanjie Pills group ( 1.08 g/kg) , and high-, middle- and low-dosage SJZD groups ( 27.450, 13.725, 6.863 g/kg, respectively). Rats were injected with papain solution into the right knee joint to build models of KOA before administration of drugs. Thickness of right knee joint was measured to evaluate the effect of SJZD on the swelling degree of knee joint. Histological changes of knee cartilage were evaluated by Mankin scoring method after the cartilage sections being stained with hematoxylin-eosin (HE). Results Swelling degree of knee joint and Mankin scores were significantly increased in the model group compared to the blank control group ( P<0.01). In comparison with the model group, the swelling degree of knee joint and Mankin scores of SJZD groups were significantly decreased (P<0.05 or P<0.01), and the pathological changes were relieved. Conclusion SJZD can ameliorate the pathological changes of knee articular cartilage in rats with KOA, so as to delay cartilage degeneration and protect the cartilage.

ObjectiveTo study the effect of THERA-vital Movement Therapy System on hemiplegic patients after stroke. Methods58 patients were divided into experimental group (n=30) or control group (n=28), the control group accepted routine stroke rehabilitation program, while the experimental group received muscle strength training with THERA-vital Movement Therapy System in addition. They were assessed with Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA) and Modified Barthel Index (MBI) before and after treatment. ResultsThere was no different between these two groups in both FMA and MBI before treatment （P＞0.05）. The scores of FMA and MBI significantly improved in both groups （P＜0.01）, and experimental group improved more than those in the control group （P＜0.01） after treatment. ConclusionMuscle strength training with THERA-vital Movement Therapy System is beneficial in improving motor function and activity of daily living in hemiplegic patient after stroke.

Objective To explore depression and anxiety in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) patients in Chaoshan region and investigate their influencing factors. Methods Two hundred and one patients newly diagnosed with NPC were included in this study. The status of depression and anxiety during their hospital stay were evaluated using the self-rating depression scale (SDS) and the self-rating anxiety scale (SAS). Data including sex, age, education, history of smoking, course of disease, sleeping quality and oral pain were also collected and their relationships with depression and anxiety were analyzed as well. Results They had significantly higher mean SAS score (36.41 ± 7.41) and SDS score (48.42 ± 7.19), as compared with the healthy population. Single factor analysis indicated that age, education, history of smoking, course of disease, sleeping quality, and oral pain had significant impact on the scores of SAS and SDS. Multivariate logistics regression analysis indicated that age, education, history of smoking, course of disease, sleeping quality, and oral pain had significant impact on their anxiety and depression. Conclusions Depression and anxiety are common psychological problems in NPC patients. Patients at the middle to elderly age and with low education, history of smoking, bad sleeping quality and oral pain are more susceptible to depression and anxiety.

OBJECTIVESTo investigate the immunophenotypes of primary nasopharyngeal non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NPL) and their relationship to Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection.

METHODSThe clinical data and biopsies of 73 patients with NPL were collected in Guangzhou. In situ hybridization was performed to detect the EBV-encoded small non-polyadenylated nuclear RNAs (EBERs) on biopsy slides. Immunohistochemistry was used to classify the immunophenotypes of NPL and detect EBV antigen expression.

RESULTSForty-four (60.27%) of the 73 NPLs were of B cell lineage (CD79alpha(+)/CD3(-)/CD56(-)) while the 29 others (39.73%) were of non-B cell lineage. Seventy-three NPLs could be classified into 3 major immunophenotypes: B cell (CD79alpha(+)/CD3(-)/CD56(-), 44 cases), peripheral T cell (CD79alpha(-)/CD3(+)/CD56(-), 22) and NK/T cell (CD79alpha(-)/CD3(+)/CD56(+), 7). The percentages of EBV infection differed among the 3 major immunophenotypes (B cell: 11.36%, 5/44; peripheral T cell: 81.82%, 18/22; NK/T cell: 100%, 7/7). Both CD56(-) positive and CD56(-) negative immunophenotypes could further be divided into 4 subtypes: CD8(-)/CD4(-), CD8(+)/CD4(-), CD8(-)/CD4(+) and CD8(+)/CD4(+). All the CD8(-)/CD4(-) NPLs with CD56(-) positivity (7) or CD56(-) negativity (2) were infected with EBV. The neoplastic cells of a nasopharyngeal Burkitt's lymphoma expressed EBV nuclear antigen 1 (EBNA1) and EBV RNA (EBERs) only. In the other 29 EBV-infected NPLs, most of the lymphoma cells harboring EBV also expressed EBNA1 and EBERs; 21 of the 29 NPLs had a considerable number of neoplastic cells expressing latent membrane protein 1 (LMP1) (21/29, 72.41%) and 23 of 29 NPLs expressed latent membrane protein 2A (LMP2A) (23/29, 79.31%). A few lymphoma cells in 17 (17/29, 58.62%), 23 (23/29, 79.31%) and 22 NPLs (22/29, 75.86%) expressed Zta (Bam HI Z transactivator), viral capsid antigen (VCA) and membrane antigen (MA), respectively.

CONCLUSIONSThe prevalence ratio of the 3 immunophenotypes, namely, B cell, peripheral T cell and NK/T cell lymphoma, is about 6:3:1. However, the EBV infection ratio is reversed, 1:8:10. All the NK/T cell (CD56(+)) and peripheral immature T cell (CD3(+)/CD8(-)/CD4(-)) NPLs were EBV-infected. Except for one Burkitt's lymphoma, the EBV harbored in both B cell and non-B cell NPLs was mainly latent infection, type II, expressing EBNA1, LMP1 and LMP2A. However, the EBV found in a few lymphoma cells could become replicative, expressing lytic proteins.
