Chinese Journal of Gastroenterology 2017;22(7):429-431
Non-coding RNA (ncRNA) is a class of RNA not coding the protein and plays a significant role in the process of growth and development of diseases.Barrett''s esophagus (BE) is considered as the precancerous lesion of esophageal adenocarcinoma.Several studies showed that ncRNA has the potential value in diagnosis, treatment and designing of targeting drugs. This article reviewed the role of ncRNA, especially microRNA, long non-coding RNA and circular RNA in the development and carcinogenic process of BE.

Objective Understand the hospital surgical treatment of female infertility patients after discharge health needs,to provide evidence for continuity of the corresponding nursing measures. Methods After surgical treatment of hospital preparation of hospital,100 cases of infertility patients designed questionnaire,to understand the patient's health requirements. Results About 94% of patients had continuity care needs,The need for continuity care content in the top three:observation, the knowledge of the disease, mental health counseling.Continuity of care means demand is in the top three:We Chat public information push, add patients group of exchange of experience and telephone follow-up on a regular basis. Conclusion the hospitalized patients with infertility of the continuity of care after discharge and demand is high, enhancing health education for patients after discharge, the continuity of the individualized modern nursing measures, improve the patients discharged from hospital after conception rate and quality of life.
5.The general public’s ability to operate automated external defibrillator: A controlled simulation study
World Journal of Emergency Medicine 2020;11(4):238-245
BACKGROUND: Automated external defibrillators (AEDs) enable laypeople to provide early defibrillations to patients undergoing cardiac arrest, but scant information is available on the general public’s ability to use AEDs. This study assessed the ability of laypeople to operate AEDs, the effect of a 15-minute training, and whether skills differed by age.
METHODS: From May 1 to December 31, 2018, a prospective simulation study was conducted with 94 laypeople aged 18-65 years (32 aged 18-24 years, 34 aged 25-54 years, and 28 aged 55-65 years) with no prior AED training. The participants’ AED skills were assessed individually pre-training, post-training, and at a three-month follow-up using a simulated cardiac arrest scenario. The critical actions and time intervals were evaluated during the AED operating process.
RESULTS: Only 14 (14.9%) participants (eight aged 18-24 years, four aged 25-54 years, and two aged 55-65 years) successfully delivered defibrillations before training. AED operation errors were more likely to occur among the participants aged 55-65 years than among other age groups. After training, the proportion of successful defibrillations increased significantly (18-24 years old: 25.0% vs. 71.9%, P<0.01; 25-54 years old: 11.8% vs. 70.6%, P<0.01; 55-65 years old: 7.1% vs. 67.9%, P<0.01). After three months, 26.1% of the participants aged 55-65 years successfully delivered defibrillations, which was significantly lower than that of participants aged 18-24 years (54.8%) and 25-54 years (64.3%) (P=0.02). There were no differences in time measures among three age groups in each test.
CONCLUSIONS: The majority of untrained laypeople cannot effectively operate AEDs. More frequent training and refresher courses are crucial to improve AED skills.

Objective To explore the influence of psychological first aid training on cognitive appraisal of sudden events in medical students. Methods A medical university undergraduate students were selected and divided into the training group(n=42) and the control group(n=53).The former was treated with 20 hours short-term targeted psychological first aid,and the latter was treated as blank control. The SAM and LMSQ were adopted to measure students' cognitive appraisal before and after the training. Results After the training, the training group gained significant differences (P< 0.05) in threat (11.95 ±3.17) vs (10.45±2.48)(t=2.426,P=0.020),challenge (12.64t2.84) vs (14.40±1.95)(t=-3.304,P=0.002),controllable-by-self (13.05±3.15) vs (14.93±2.00) (t=-3.240,P=0.002),controllable-by-others (12.40±3.10) vs (14.52±2.52) (t=-3.553,P=0.001),stressfulness (13.26±2.69) vs (12.00±1.96) (t=2.592,P=0.013) of SAM,and Physical threat ((23.88±7.59) vs (19.76±4.82),t=3.057,P=0.004) of LMSQ compared with before training.Other factors had no significant difference(P>0.05).Compared with two groups, the training group gained significant increase(P<0.05) on the score differences for SAM factors (challenge (t=-2.466,P=0.016),controllable-by-self (t=-2.557,P=0.012),controllable-by-others (t=-2.800,P=0.006)) than the control group, and significant reduction (P<0.05) in physical threat (t=-2.308,P=0.023) of LMSQ.Conclusion Short-term targeted psychological first aid training has certain effects on changing cognitive appraisal about sudden events for medical students.

Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy of multiple target burst frequency thermocoagulation in treatment of lumbar disc herniation. Methods One hundred and twelve patients suffering from lumbar disc herniation were treated with stepped heating multiple target burst frequency thermocoagulation using of domestic R-2000B radiofrequency ablation machine. The visual analogue scale (VAS) score,Oswestry disability index (ODI) and effect of grade before operation and after operation were compared. Results The VAS score before operation was (7.60 ± 1.12) scores,3 d after operation was (3.10 ± 1.05) scores,6 months after operation was (2.90 ± 0.92) scores, there was significant difference between before operation and 3 d,6 months after operation (P < 0.05).The ODI before operation was 47.6 ± 8.3,3 months after operation was 25.5 ± 6.7,6 months after operation was 23.7 ± 6.2,there was significant difference between before operation and 3,6 months after operation (P <0.05).The clinical efficacy:excellent grade was in 66 cases, the good was in 32 cases, the improvement was in 10 cases, the inefficacy was in 4 cases, the excellent and good rate was 87.5% (98/112).There was no nerve injury, infection or death after operation. Conclusion Multiple target burst frequency thermocoagulation in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation has the advantages of little incision and tissue damage, fast recovery, good clinical outcome,it is worth to clinical practice.
10.Purification of Trypsin by Using AOT/Isooctane Reverse Micellar Extraction and Overcoming Denaturation and Precipitation in the Process
China Biotechnology 2006;0(01):-
Trypsin was purified from crude material of pig pancreas by AOT/isooctane reversed micellar system. The influence of the main operating parameters such as ethanol concentration in forward and backward extraction,pH,KCl and AOT concentration, temperature were investigated.Forward and backward extraction recovery of trypsin reached almost 90% and neared 100%,respectively.Finally,about 88% of total yield was obtained, and the specific activity of trypsin was increased to over 1800U/mg with purification factor of 5 folds more.In AOT-isooctane reverse micellar extraction system, denaturation or precipitation of proteins always occured due to strong electrostatic interaction between AOT-proteins molecules. It had been resolved by adding ethanol into reverse micellar system, and no denaturation was observed.Otherwise, the phase separation time was shortened significantly because of ethanol added. It was only 10 minutes or less to reach phases separation after forward and backward extraction. If this method can be applied in industry, efficiency will be greatly improved.
