1.One case of pediatric obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome with pulmonary hypertension.
Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2015;29(7):664-665
The clinical manifestation included snoring and mouth breathing for 2 years, repeated coughing and shortness of breath in action for more than 1 year. Physical examination of oral cavity showed tonsils were in grade III. The endoscopy showed 2/3 of postnaris were blocked by the adenoids. The preoperative ultrasonic cardiogram revealed the right atrial and right ventricular dilatation, pulmonary artery widened. The preoperative polysomnography (PSG) showed apnea-hypopnea index (AHI) was 28.5 events an hour, and the lowest oxygen saturation (LSaO2) was 39%. The patient was diagnosed as severe obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome with pulmonary hypertension. The postoperative PSG showed the AHI was 11.7 events an hour, and the LSaO2 was 86%. The ultrasonic cardiogram at 5 months after surgery didn't show any abnormalities.

Cancer Research and Clinic 1997;0(03):-
Objective To investigate the signal transduction of bFGF to regulate the colorectal carci- noma cell growth via PI3K/PKB pathway. Methods MTT assay was used to determine the suppressive effect of bFGF on the growth rate of LoVo cell;(?-~(32)P)ATP incorporation assay was used to detect the increased activity of PKB in LoVo cell;the RT-PCR technique was used to test the expression of cyclin A;Western Blot analysis was used to detect the expressions of PKB and cyclin A protein. Results When the bFGF worked on the LoVo cell at various times,it was found that the PKB activity of the LoVo cell was increased by the(?-~(32)P) ATP incorporation assay.By preprocessing by the depressor-LY294002 and bFGF,the activity of PKB was sig- nificantly reduced(P

Objective To investigate the impaction of different prostate biopsy strategies on the tumor detection. Methods 214 consecutive men who were highly suspected as prostate cancer were included in this study.TRUS guided prostate biopsy of 13 cores was conducted in each patient.Among these individuals,PSA(total prostate specific antigen) level were among 0.8 ng/ml and 112.3 ng/ml,mean 18.7 ng/ml,of which 203 cases were over 4.0 ng/ml.The prostate volume was between 12.3 ml and 182.5 ml with 61.3 ml of mean.DRE(digital rectal examination) was normal in 173 cases and abnormal in 41 cases. The tumor detection rate for each biopsy core was calculated. The sensitivity of different combinations of biopsy cores(eg.prostate biopsy strategies) was compared with a 13 core biopsy protocol,in which besides the sextant biopsies, the far lateral and mid regions of the gland were also taken,as 8 core and 10 core biopsy. Results Prostate cancers were detected in 77 of 214(36.0%) patients with 13 core biopsy protocol.Of the possible combinations of biopsy cores,10-core biopsy protocol that included cores at the base, mid gland and apex of the prostate with lateral base and mid cores detected 97.4% of cancers. The detection rate of this 10-core biopsy protocol was equivalent to that of the 13 core regional biopsy(P=0.5).Conclusions 10-core biopsy protocol that combines cores at the base, mid gland and apex of the prostate with lateral base and mid cores should be the preferred strategy in early detection of prostate cancer.

Objective To investigate the manifestations and genetic mechanisms of male sex reversal syndrome. Methods A 22 year old male patient with 46,XX karyotype was systemically examined and a Y specific sequence tagged site (STS),sY14,was chosen to detect sex determining region of Y (SRY) gene by polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Results This patient shows primary and secondary male sex characters while gonads are hypoplastic and malfunctional. The patent has 46,XX karyotype and SRY gene. Therefore, the patient is diagnosed as 46,XX male sex reversal syndrome. Conclusions Translocation of SRY can bring about 46,XX male sex reversal syndrome, whereas gonads of the patients are hypoplastic and malfunctional because of the absence of other genes on Y chromosome.SRY gene plays an important role in sex determination.

Objective To study the clinical effect of combined treatment of Lipo PGE1 and millimeter wave on diabetic peripheral neuropathy. Methods 98 patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy(DPN)were randomly divided into the first treatment group with Lipo-PGE1,and the second treatment group combined with Lipo PGE1 and millimeter wave compared with the routin therapy group as control in order to observe the subjective symptom, tendon reflex and nerve conduction velocity, respectively. Results The total effective rates of the second treatment group was 91%,which was significantly higher than the control group(P

Objective To design a fast method based on wavelet analysis for fMRI data. Methods Lifting wavelet decomposition instead of stationary wavelet decomposition was utilized to separate paradigm responsive signal and confound ones in fMRI data, while frequency analysis was used to find out the wavelet scales in which paradigm responsive signal existed, then reconstructed signal from these scales was subjected to correlation analysis for actived pixels. Results Analyzing visual fMRI data revealed that when the significant level was α<10-6, the proposed method gave more sensitive results than correlation analysis, but process time decreased on a large scale compared with the one based on the stationary wavelet transform. At the mean time, the proposed method only used 24 timepoints of data for wavelet reconstruction while one based on stationary wavelet transform used 256 timepoints of data. Conclusion The proposed method is the fast one based on wavelet transform for analyzing fMRI data, which also gives an effective technique for compressing fMRI data.
