Lung cancer is one of the most frequent malignant tumors. Target therapy is a milestone of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) treatment in the 21st century. Biomarker detections have provided a solid foundation for individualized treatment. This review mainly focused on significance of EGFR mutation detection in EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors (EGFR-TKIs) as first line, second line and maintenance therapy in NSCLC. Simultaneously, this review introduced predicting significance of EGFR FISH test for the response of TKI treatment, and analyzed potential predictive biomarkers for antiangiogenic agents and status of antiEGFR monoclonal antibody in NSCLC individual therapy.

The standard operating procedures (SOP) of tumor tissue bank (TTB) involves the collection, processing, storage, quality control of biological samples. It is also the key to the normal operation of TTB and strengthen the cooperation between them. Many countries have recognized the need for the establishment of TTB, but the prevailing issue is that TTB is lack of access to a set of SOP for high-quality tissue samples. To further standardize the construction of TTB will also be involved in information management and common data elements (CDE) development of TTB.

Objective To investigate the effect of cluster nursing on quality of life and mental state of cervical cancer patients receiving chemotherapy. Methods 72 cervical cancer patients receiving chemotherapy were randomly divided into control group and observation group.The control group was given routine care and the observation group was given cluster nursing on the basis of routine care.The quality of life core questionnaire (EORTC QOL-C30) and Symptom Checklist SCL-90 score were tested at the end of treatment. Results Compared with the control group, after using cluster nursing, the EORTC QOL-C30 functional areas of physical function role function, cognitive function , social function, emotional function of patients in the observation group were significantly improved( <0.05), the main symptoms of nausea areas vomiting and pain were decreased significantly ( <0.05),and sleep,diet,diarrhea and constipation were improved significantly (<0.05) . SCL-90 scale showed that the somatization,obsessive-compulsive symptoms,depression and anxiety in observation group were decreased significantly compared with the control group ( <0.05),the somatization, obsessive-compulsive symptoms and anxiety were increased significantly in control group compared with China norm (<0.05) .Conclusion Cluster nursing on patients with cervical cancer receiving chemotherapy can effectively improve quality of life and reduce the incidence of negative emotions.

Two hours after the rats were infected with 125I - labeled sporozoites of Plasmo-dium yoelii,the sporzoites captured by the liver,the spleen and the lungs accounted for 1.67%,0.046% and 0.49% respectively.During the 2nd to the 18h,the sporozoites decreased in number slowly in the liver,remained unchanged in the spleen and decreased in number quickly in the lungs as time went on.When the liver and the lungs were perfused with quick M199 stream containing sporozoites,the capture rate of sporozoites was not affected in the liver but that of the lungs was markedly decreased.The numbr of sporozoites in the liver and the spleen was larger in those rats with their phagocytosis activated than in those with the phagocytosis inhibited.while in the lungs,the number of sporozoites was not influenced by the activity of macrophages.These findings suggest that the mechanism of capturing sporozoites in the lung is mainly mechanical and the alveolar macrophages play little role in that,but that in the liver and the spleen is mainly a biological process in which macrophages play an important role.

From June 1976 to December 1989, 76 patients with cancer of the rectum of Duke's stage C2 disease were cured treated by surgical resection . 54 patients received surgery only, 22 patients received surgery in combination with postoperative radiation therapy. Follow-up rate was 98%. Radiotherapy regimen in this study was 40～50 Gy in 4～5 weeks to the pelvic. The results showed that postoperative irradiation group had lower recurrence and distant metastasis rates(48.9%) than those of surgery alone one (96.1%). Survival in patients receiving postoperative radiation was substantially better(40.4%) than surgery only group(14.4%).

Objective To investigate the effects of ketamine on endotoxin-induced production of proinflammatory cytokines (IL-6, TNF-?) and activation of their modulating factor NF-?B in rat. Methods Thirty-six adult male Wistar rats weighing 250-300 g were randomly divided into 4 groups : (Ⅰ Ⅰ ) control group ( n = 6) ; (Ⅱ) endotoxin group received intravenous endotoxin ( Escherichia coli O111: B4)5mg?kg-1(n = 6); (Ⅲ) ketamine group received ketamine 50 mg?kg-1 ? h-1 i.v. (n = 6) and (Ⅳ) endotoxin + ketamine group received ketamine 0.5 or 5 or 50 mg?kg-1 ? h-1 after endotoxin ( n = 18 ) . The animals were anesthetized with urethane i. p. (1 g?kg-1) . Carotid artery was cannulated for BP and HR monitoring and jugular vein was cannulated for fluid or drug administration. Two hours after endotoxin administration the animals were sacrificed by exsanguination. Blood was collected and peripheral blood monocytes (PBMC) were isolated. NF-icB content in PBMC was measured by EMSA and plasma TNF-? and IL-6 concentrations were determined by ELISA. Results Progressive hypotension and tachycardia developed after endotoxin administration. Endotoxin also increased NF-icB content in PBMCs and plasma TNF-? and IL-6 concentrations. Ketamine 50 mg?kg-1 attenuated the endotoxin-induced hemodynamic response. Ketamine (0.5, 5, 50 mg?kg-1?h-1 ) suppressed NF-?B content in PBMC and inhibited plasma TNF-? level but plasma IL-6 level was not affected. Conclusion Ketamine can suppress endotoxin-induced NF-kappa B activation. Subanesthetic dose of ketamine has anti-inflammatory action.

MicroRNA(miRNA) is involved in virtually all biologic processes, including cellular proliferation, apoptosis, and differentiation. Thus, miRNA deregulation often results in impaired cellular function and disease development, so miRNAs have potential therapeutic relevance. The elucidation of these processes regulated by miRNAs and the identification of novel miRNA targets in the pathogenesis of hypertension is a highly valuable and exciting strategy that may eventually led to the development of novel treatment approaches for hypertension. Several mechanisms have been implicated in the pathogenesis of hypertension: overactivation of therenin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS), dysfunction of the vascular endothelium, damnification of vascular smooth muscle. To maintain and restore target organ expression of miRNA stable may be a new strategy for treatment of hypertension. The article reviews pathogenesis of miRNA and hypertension, researches of miRNAs as biomarker and therapeutic target, discusses advances in miRNA-based approaches that may be important in treating hypertension.

Objective To access the effectiveness and safety of traditional Chinese medicine for the patients with post-stroke depression,and provide the evidence for clinical practice.Methods Systematically search(computer and hand) CNKI,VIP,CBM,PUBMED,EMBASE and related magzines for the randomized controlled trials(RCT) and clinical controlled trials(CCT) of traditional Chinese medicine in treating post-stroke depression published.To evaluate and analyze the quality of literature with evidence-based medicine approach.Results 69 RCTs and 6 CCTs met the selection criteria.Only 11 RCTs had proper random methods and 2 RCTs used blind method.There were coparability of groups in 62 RCTs and it was mentioned in 8 researchs of exit and lost.It was showed that the effective rate of treatment group was higher than that of the control group,the ineffective rate and adverse effects in treatment group were lower than that of the control group.4 RCTs were made Meta analysis and quantitative analysis.4 trials were 3 using Jadad Scale,11 trials were 2,other 55 trials were 0～1.Conclusions Large sample,multicentre,prospective randomized trials are needed to strengthen Meta analysis evidence concluded by lower methodological quality of included studies.Furthermore,systematic review should be improved and updated if new evidence appeared.
