3.The changes of NO concentration in focal cerebral ischemic tissues during the differ- ent process of cerebral ischemia and reperfusion of rats
Journal of Clinical Neurology 1997;0(06):-
The aim of our study wasto investigated the changesof NO concentration in the ischemic and reperfutional brain tissues and the relationship between the NO and brain damage. The animal models of middle cerebral artery occlusion were established by suture method. The changesof NO concentration were researched with method of Hb O2 -NO during the permanent ischemia and ischemia/ reperfusion. The results showed that the NO level in the injured brain tissue after3hours of ischemia was increased. After reperfusion, the NO level increased progressively, but NO level showed decreased and then increased during the permanent ischemia.Although there wasa decrease of NO level at7days after ischemia and reperfusion, but the NO level was higher than that of preischemia. It indicated that the changes of NO concentration during the different process of cerebral ischemia and reperfu- sion are related to the differentisoform of NOS,which have respective characteristic forsyn- thesizing NO in biochemistry, and deal with the cerebral ischemic and reperfusional injury.
4.THE PRELIMINARY OBSERVATION OF THE EFFECT OF HIGH PROTEIN DIET ON THE NUTRITIONAL STATUS OF PERITONEAL DIALYSIS PATIENTS
Acta Nutrimenta Sinica 2004;0(05):-
Objective To observe the effect of adjusting high dietary profein intake on nutritional status of peritoneal dialysis (PD) patients. Method Thirty three PD patients whose daily protein intake (DPI) was over 1.2g/(kg? d) were included in study from July, 2005 to November, 2006. A recipe was given by a professional dietitian for every patient to reduce DPI meanwhile maintaining sufficient daily energy intake (DEI). DPI, DEI, serum albumin (ALB), lean body mass(LBM) and subjective global assessment(SGA) and the prevalence of hyperphosphatemia, hyperkalemia and metabolic acidosis were evaluated before and after 3 and 6 mo adjustment. Results At the end of observation, 28 patients were enrolled in the study. Their mean age was 61.37?12.25 yrs, 11 males and 17 females with dialysis period 8.8 mon (1~66 mo). DPI and DEI were significantly decreased during 6 mo (P=0.000). Nobody complained about gastrointestinal symptoms, and the quality and satisfaction of life during the study were not significantly different. Serum Alb at 3 rd month was higher than the start of study (36.22?2.79g/L vs 37.34?3.32 g/L,P
5.Chronic inflammation state, malnutrition and cardiovascular disease in peritoneal dialysis patients
Chinese Journal of Nephrology 1997;0(05):-
Objective To identify the relationship among chronic inflammatory state, malnutrition and cardiovascular diseases in peritoneal dialysis patients. Methods Cardiovascular diseases and dialysis regime in 90 clinically stable continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD) patients were investigated. Then, dietary energy intake (DEI) and protein intake (DPI) through dietary diaries were measured. The serum albumin (Alb), prealbumin(PA), transferring (TF), lean body mass (LBM), LBM% and the normalized protein equivalent of total nitrogen appearance (nPNA) were examined or calculated. Subjective global assessment (SGA) was also evaluated. Serum interleukin-6 (IL-6), tumor necrotic factor-?(TNF-?) and C-reactive protein (CRP) were measured as markers of chronic inflammation. Serum leptin and plasma NPY were detected too. Results Serum IL-6 and TNF-? levels of CAPD cases were (17. 17?27.72) pg/ml and (34. 21?25. 92) pg/ml, which were significantly higher as compared to control group. Serum CRP level in CAPD patients was (9. 88?20. 93)mg/L. There were 24 patients(26. 67% ) with CRP above normal level. 55 patients(61. 11% ) had cardiovascular diseases. The patients with angina pectoris, old myocardial infarction and chronic heart failure had higher CRP levels than those without above complications ( P
6.Role of CT scan in the diagnosis and treatment of urinary calculus
International Journal of Surgery 2016;43(9):645-648
Urinary calculus is a common disease of urinary system. With the improvement of people's living standard, the incidence rate of urinary calculus increased year by year.Compared with other methods, spiral CT has a great advantage in the diagnosis of urinary calculus. The current commonly used examinations including spiral CT plain scan, low dose spiral CT scan,CT urography, and dual source dual energy CT imaging. The advantages and characteristics of different types of CT are analyzed and compared, which is helpful for clinicians to choose the most proper examination,to make the most of the advantages of various checks,so as to improve the accuracy of diagnosis and effectiveness of treatment.
8.Antimicrobial resistance characteristics and mechanisms of imipenem-re-sistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa
Chinese Journal of Infection Control 2014;(7):385-388
Objective To investigate antimicrobial resistance characteristics and mechanisms of imipenem-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa (P .aeruginosa)isolated from clinical specimens. Methods Bacterial strains were identi-fied by BD Phoenix 100 automatic microbial analysis system, antimicrobial susceptibility testing was performed by Kirby-Bauer method;Carbapenemase genes (IMP ,VIM ,OXA,GES )and outer membrane protein gene oprD2 were detected by polymerase chain reaction. Results Resistant rates of imipenem-resistant P .aeruginosa strains to ami-kacin was the lowest (8.33%);resistant rates to gentamicin and tobramycin were<20%;resistant rates to the third and fourth generation cephalosporins, aztreonam, meropenem, compound sulfamethoxazole and minocycline were all>60%,and all strains were resistant to ampicillin/sulbactam.The positive rate of OXA-17 gene was 2.78%(n=1 ),deletion rate of oprD2 was 38.89%,the other drug-resistant genes were not detected. Conclusion Except aminoglycosides, resistance of imipenem-resistant P .aeruginosa to other antimicrobial agents is serious;resistance of P .aeruginosa to imipenem may be due to lacking of OprD2 and production of carbapenemases.
