2.The Serum Immunosuppressive Activity in Patients With Systemic Lupus Erythematousus
Chinese Journal of Immunology 1985;0(03):-
The serum suppressive activity on PHA-induced lymphocyte transformation of healthy individuals was evaluated in 76 serum samples from 55 patients with systemic lupus erythematousus(SLE).The serum suppressive activity seemed well correlated with the activity of SLE. The highest levels of suppressive rate (55.02+29.62%) and positive rate(88.33%)were found in patients with active disease. Once disease improved, both suppressive rate and positive rate were reduced (22.17?51.28% and 51.85% respectively), when the patients entered into stationary stage, the serum suppressive activity were not observed. The correlation between suppressive activity and lymphocyte transformation test, E-rosett inhibition factor, the levels of serum CIC, IgG, IgA, IgM. C3 and ANA titers were analysed. Stepwise discriminant analysis indicated that the serum suppressive activity was more closely related to disease activity than other immunological indexes. The nature of suppressive factor was discussed.
3.Correlation between formation of portal vein tumor thrombus and liver cancer stem cells metastasis
Journal of International Oncology 2008;35(7):527-530
Recent studies about stem cells show that the formation of portal vein tumor thrombus(PVTT)is closely relative to the metastasis of liver cancer stem cells induced by portal vein microenvironment.Liver cancer stem cells first detach from the primary tumor, extravasate to extracellular matrix, stimulate angiogenesis or intravasate and migrate through the systemic circulation, evade host defense mechanisms, migrate to specific blood vessel sites through chemo-taxis and attach to blood vessel wall, then extravasate through blood vessel and home to specific microenvironment and to form PVTT.
4.Research progress of brachytnerapy in soft tissue sarcoma
Journal of International Oncology 2009;36(7):539-541
Brachytherapy has become an important treatment for soft tissue sarcoma by its unique radio-biology and radiation physics characteristics, the treatment time is divided in accordance with preoperative brachytherapy, intraoperative brachytherapy, postoperative brachytherapy, brachytherapy alone, which in im-proving the rate of limb preservation and local control rate sarcoma has played an important role. However, the timing of treatment, treatment modalities, the choice of implantation dose is still in dispute.
5.Progress in the pathogenesis of Henoch-Schonlein purpura
International Journal of Pediatrics 2010;37(1):39-41
Henoch-Schonlein purpura(HSP) is one of the most common blood capillary allergic disorder in children, and its pathogenesis has not been well explained. The studies show that the main mechanism of HSP is the abnormality of humoral immunity, and the role of IgA is emphaszed. Meanwhile, many agents such as changes in T cell function, participation of cytokine and mediators of intlammation, suscepti-bility gene and other factors also play an important role in the incidence of HSP. The pathogenesis of HSP can be better understood through extensive analysis of the immunology factors, genetic factors, and so on.
6.The Investigation and Analysis on the Status of Websites Construction in Jiangsu Hospital
Journal of Medical Informatics 2009;30(8):25-28
The paper analyzes the status of hospital websites construction in Jiangau province, which would provide useful evidence for further development. Surfing on the hospital wehaites covering both third and second class hospital in Jiangsu province, it reveals that the websites of third-class hospital are much better than the second-class ones. However, both of them have problems on contents, domain names and interactive parts. The paper suggests that we should constantly explore the methods and ways to solve those existing prob-lems, focus on strengthening informafization construction in hospital and play its advantages.
8.Some issues on chemotherapy for advanced non-small cell lung cancer
Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine 2001;0(04):-
Lung cancer is the leading cause of morbidity and mortality of malignant tumor.Surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy remain the primary means of treatment for lung cancer, while the discoveries of molecular targets and targeted agents for lung cancer are making revolutionary changes and will almost certainly propel progress in this field into the foreseeable future.Biomarker-based individualized comprehensive treatment strategy is expected to benefit the lung cancer patients' survival.Meanwhile, chemotherapy remains the major treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer, which requires implementing the "three combinations" dialectical therapy principles, that is,systemic with local, conventional with personalized, eliminating with supporting.
9.Concurrent chemoradiotherapy followed by adjuvant chemotherapy for locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma
China Oncology 2001;0(05):-
Background and purpose:Concurrent chemoradiotherapy followed by adjuvant chemotherapy have been administrated to locally advance nasopharyngeal carcinoma according to the NCCN guidelines. This study s pecifically evaluated the efficacy, toxicity and compliance of modified concurrent chemoradiotherapy followed by adjuvant chemotherapy in locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC).Methods:From Nov.2003 to Apr. 2005,67 patients with stageⅢandⅣlocally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC)were enrolled in this study.A total dosage of radiation,70-74 Gy,was given in 35-37 fractions in 5 fractions per week. Two cycles of chemotherapy, consisting of cisplatin 25 mg/m2?d-1 and 5-fluorouracil 300 mg/m2?d-1 were delivered simultaneously with radiotherapy on the day 1-3 during week 1 and 5.Three cycles of adjuvant chemotherapy, consisting of cisplatin 25 mg/m2?d-1 and fluorouracil 450 mg/m2?d-1,were also given, starting on day 1-3 during week 10,13 and 16.Results:The median follow-up was 20 months(ranged from 11 to 27 months). The 2-year overall survival rate and the 2-year diseasefree survival rate were 91.75%and 81.56%respectively.The 2-year overall survival rate was 96%for stageⅢand 87.65%for stageⅣ(P=0.334).The 2-year disease-free survival rate was 92.16%for stageⅢand 69.35%for stageⅣ respectively(P=0.2358).The compliance rates were 100%for radiotherapy,47 cases(70.1%)for all chemotherapy, 56 cases(83.6%)for concurrent chemotherapy and 48 cases(71.6%)for adjuvant chemotherapy. The main grade Ⅲ/Ⅳacute toxicity events during concurrent chemoradiotherapy were neutropenia in 15 patients(21.4%),vomitting and nausea in 2 patients(3%),mucositis in 56 patients(83.6%),and gradeⅢskin reaction in 10(15%),respectively. The main gradeⅢ/Ⅳacute toxicity events during adjuvant chemotherapy were neutropenia in 13 patients(19.4%), grade 3 anemia in 2 patients(1.5%)respectively.Conclusion:The primary result showed a good compliance, lower incidences of toxicity and improved early outcome of treatments for the patients with stageⅢand stageⅣ(M0)NPC. The ultimate therapeutic ratio will be updated according to longer follow-ups.
10.Ocular biometric characteristics of acute and chronic primary angle-closure glaucoma in Chinese patients
Journal of Central South University(Medical Sciences) 2014;(4):333-337
Objective: To compare the ocular parameters of acute angle closure glaucoma (AACG) and chronic angle closure glaucoma (CACG). Methods: Totally 106 patients with primary angle closure glaucoma were recruited: 58 patients with AACG and 48 with CACG. All patients were divided into 3 groups: AACG attack eyes group, AACG uninvolved fellow eyes group and CACG group and underwent the same ophthalmic examinations, comprising optometry, keratometry, and A-scan ultrasonography. The lens/axial length factor (LAF) and relative lens position (RLP) were calculated. Results: The AACG attack eyes had a significant shallow anterior chamber depth, thick lens, short axial length and larger LAF. hTere tended to be a reduction in the percentage of LAF>0.20 in AACG attack eyes, CACG eyes and AACG uninvolved fellow eyes, though there were no statistically signiifcant difference in all groups (P>0.05). Conclusion: The eyes with AACG attack have a more crowded anterior chamber structure compared with uninvolved fellow eyes and eyes with CACG.
