1.Research progress in local therapy of recurrent nasopharyngeal carcinoma
Journal of International Oncology 2010;37(9):679-682
At present, the main treatment for recurrent nasopharyngeal carcinoma (rNPC) is re-irradiation. Conventional external irradiation can result in a high incidence of side effects. Intensity modulated radiation therapy and stereotactic radiotherapy can not only reduce the radiation dose to vital organs and surrounding normal tissues, but also improve local control rate. Brachytherapy and surgery are also shown to be effective in early diseases.

The Journal of Practical Medicine 2014;(20):3236-3238
Objective To explore the role of procalcitonin (PCT) in diagnosis and antibiotics therapy of community acquired pneumonia (CAP). Methods A total of 296 patients with CAP and 221 patients with other diseases were included. PCT levels between CAP patients and non-CAP patients, aged and non-aged CAP patients were analyzed. SPSS19.0 was used to make ROC, and the maximum Youden index to determine the optimal cutoff value, the corresponding sensitivity (SEN) and specificity (SPE). Results PCT levels in CAP patients were significantly higher than those in non-CAP (P<0.05). The diagnostic value of PCT in CAP was as follows: the area under the curve (AUC) was 0.67, the optimal cutoff value 0.055 ng/mL and the SEN and SPE were 0.55 and 0.77 respectively. For aged CAP patients, the values were 0.63, 0.055 ng/mL, 0.53 and 0.73 respectively and for non-aged CAP patients, the values were 0.73, 0.085 ng/mL, 0.53 and 0.90 respectively. The days of treatment in PCT-guided antibiotics therapy group were greatly less than those in clinical and radiology-guided antibiotics therapy (P<0.05), while there was no difference on relapse (P>0.05). Conclusion PCT has a high value in diagnosis and antibiotics therapy of CAP.

4.Development in the study of the correlation between stearoyl-coenzyme A desaturase 1 and cancer progression
Chinese Journal of Clinical Oncology 2014;(17):1131-1134
The curative effect of chemotherapy in malignant tumors has been unsatisfactory because of drug resistance and the toxicity of chemotherapeutic drugs. Extensive studies on the metabolism of tumor cells have been undertaken to determine a novel se-lective antitumor drug. An increasing number of studies have demonstrated the close relation between the malignant behavior of tumor tissues and their specialized energy metabolism. Hyper-lipogenesis is one of the metabolic characteristics of the rapid proliferation of tu-mor cells. Stearoyl-coenzyme A desaturase 1 (SCD1) is a critical enzyme in fatty acid synthesis because it catalyzes the conversion of saturated fatty acids into monounsaturated fatty acids. This enzyme is closely related to obesity, fatty liver disease, insulin resistance, and a series of metabolic syndromes. It is also involved in the occurrence and progression of cancer. Determining the function of SCD1 in malignant tumors would provide a new therapeutic target in chemotherapy.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2017;23(4):470-474
Objective To investigate the impact of mind wandering in sustained attention response task, and offer interventions to cope with mind wandering. Methods In December, 2016, a total of 37 athletes were tested with sustained attention response task. Their technical index, reaction time variation and accurate rate were calculated. Results The statistics of 25 athletes showed that, the technical index was lower in complex task than in simple task (t(35)=-8.019, P<0.001). No significant difference was found in the reaction time variation between two tasks (t(23)=-1.575, P=0.129), the main effect of mind wandering was not significant (F(1,23)=0.488, P=0.492), as well as the interaction of mind wandering and task difficulty (F(1,23)=0.054, P=0.262). No significant difference was found in the accurate rate between two tasks (t(23)=-1.046, P=0.307), the main effect of mind wandering was not significant (F(1,23)=0.119, P=0.733), and the interaction of mind wander-ing and task difficulty was marginal significance (F(1,23)=3.608, P=0.070). Conclusion Athlete's mind wandering with awareness would influ-ence the performance in complex sustained attention response task. Mindfulness training and tasks engagement could effectively cope with mind wandering.

Journal of Third Military Medical University 1988;0(05):-
Objective To explore the effect of macrophage colony stimulating factor (M-CSF) on lung cancer cell line A549. Methods After M-CSF at 0.1, 1 and 10 ng/ml was given to cultured A549 cells for 0, 24, 48, 72 and 92 h respectively, their morphological changes were observed with inverted microscopy, proliferation was measured by MTT assay, and cell cycles were determined by flow cytometry. RT-PCR was used to detect the change of expression of M-CSF receptor. Result The growth of A549 was significantly inhibited by M-CSF in a concentration- and time- dependent manner. The maximum response was obtained at 10 ng/ml of M-CSF. Flow cytometric analysis revealed that the treated A549 cells arrested at the G0/G1 phase of the cell cycle. RT-PCR showed that the mRNA expression of M-CSF receptor was reduced after the M-CSF treatment. Conclusion M-CSF has an anti-tumour activity on lung cancer cell A549.
