Objective:The purpose of this study was to observe Huwang Mingmu San’s(HWMMS)effect on the experimental vitreous hemorrhage.Methods:We divided 48 rabbits randomly into the A group as the normal control group,the B group as the modal group,the C group as the traditional chinese medicine group(HWMMS)and the D group as the western medicine group(entodan).Six rabbits of the four groups were killed randomly in the 8th week and their vitreous send to TNF-?,IL-6 examination at the same time.We study the activity level of MDA,SOD,NA-K-ATP enzyme on retinal.Results: It was suggested that the TNF-?’s content in HWMMS group had significantly increased than that in the normal group and the model group but no difference was found between the HWMMS group and the entodan group.Meanwhile the results showed that the HWMMS group’s content of IL-6 and MDA was lower and SOD activity,NA-K-ATP enzyme content was higher than those in the model group and the entodan group.Conclusion:We concluded that the HEMMS had a remarkable therapeutic effect on retinal damage and in promoting absorption vitreous hemorrhage.

Objective: To clone and express the recombinant human Vasostatin120-180aa domain and to investigate its activity of inhibiting angiogenesis in CAM. Methods: After amplifying gene of human Vasostatin120-180aa domain, we sub-cloned it into pQE30 vector and expressed Vasostatin120-180aa domain by E. coli. We also tested its ability of inhibiting angiogenesis in CAM. Results: The total gene length of human Vasostatin120-180aa domain is 180 bp. Expressed by pQE30 system in E. coli and purified by IMAC, Vasostatin120-180aa was detected by SDS-PAGE, in which there is a positive band and molecular weight is about 8 kD. Conclusions: Recombinant human Vasostatin120-180aa could play effective role in anti-angiogenesis in CAM and it showed a dose dependent effect in some degree.

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of tail hole needle combined with titanium cable tension band fixation for the treatment of patellar fracture.Methods Thirty-five patients with patella fracture were treated with the tail hole needle combined with titanium cable tension band fixation.Results All 35 patients were followed up for 6-24 months,average 11 months.The incisions were stage Ⅰ heal.Fractures were healed,the healing time was 4-10 weeks,average 6 weeks.The patients were evaluated according to the Bostman knee functional score standard:excellent in 30 cases,good in 5 cases,the excellent and good rate was 100％ (35/35).There was no complication such as fracture displacement,internal fixation loosening or fracture,infection of incision,etc.Conclusion The tail hole needle combined with titanium cable tension band fixation is simple,firm fixation,less complications and good functional recovery of knee joint for the treatment of patella fracture.

Objective To observe the curative effect of cervicogenic headache(CEH)treatment through the combination of pulse radio frequency(PRF)on the C2 dorsal rootganglion and continuous epidural space block.Methods Sixty patients with CEH in our hospital were randomly divided into groups A and B,30 cases in each group.The group A was treated with combination of PRF on cervical dorsal root ganglion and continuous epidural space block.The group B was treated with PRF on cervical dorsal root ganglion method.The pain VAS scores before treatment and at 1 week,3,6 months after treatment were compared between the two groups.Results Compared with pretreatment,the VSA scores at 1 week,3,6 wonths after treatment in the two groups had statistical difference(P＜0.05),moreover,the VAS score decrease in the group A was better than the group B.All the patients had no nerve and artery injury or infection complications.Conclusion It is safe and effective to treat cervical CEH through the combination of ganglion PRF on the cervical 2 dorsal root and continuous epidural space block.

Objective To explore the clinical classification of upper lid dermatochalasis in mid dle-aged and elderly women for choosing appropriate surgical methods and evaluating the efficacy of the treatment.Methods A lot of 98 cases of middle-aged and elderly women above 40,who underwent surgical treatment between January 2005 and September 2015,were retrospectively analyzed.The dermatochalasis was classified according to the relaxation of upper lid soft tissue,eyebrow ptosis and the effect of eye function.Therefore,four surgical treatments were designed for patients-upper eyelid incision,infraeyebrow incision,eyebrow lifting and upper eyelid incision plus eyebrow lifting.Results Of the 133 treated cases,the post-operative cosmetic result was assessed as very satisfactory in 107 (80.4％) cases;as satisfactory in 19 (14.3％) cases,and as dissatisfactory in 7 (5.3％) cases.Conclusions The key to satisfactory treatment of upper lid blepharoplasty for middle aged and elderly women lies in designing personalized treatments and choosing appropriate surgical methods according to the classification of upper lid relaxation.

Objective To explore the joints and tendons characteristic features of high frequency ultrasound in asymptomatic hyperuricemia(AH) and to assess its value in AH diagnosis.Methods One hundred asymptomatic individuals with hyperuricemia (AH group) and 75 normouricemic subjects (control group) were examined by high frequency and color Doppler ultrasound.The joints,tendons and soft tissue of the knees,ankles and first metatarsal-phalangeal joints in two groups were examined.The correlations of serum urate(SU) level with double contour sign,bone erosion and articular cavity effusion were analysed.Results Hyperechoic deposition on the sulface of the articular hyaline cartilage (double contour sign) were found in the knees (35),ankles (17) and the first metatarsophalangeal joints (MTPJs,48) from the asymptomatic individuals with hyperuricemia,in contrast to none in the control group (P ＜0.05).Similar results were found in two groups of the bone erosion (30,25,20 vs 4,6,3,P ＜0.05),the effusion (28,36,41 vs 6,8,9,P ＜0.05) and the hyperechoic spots (19,18,22 vs 0,0,0,P ＜0.05).Patellar enthesopathy (4.5％ vs 0.6％,P ＜0.05) as well as achilles enthesopathy(8％ vs 0,P ＜0.05) and achilles tophi (6％ vs 0.6％,P ＜ 0.05) were more frequent in asymptomatic hyperuricemic than that of normouricemic individuals.No correlations between SU concentration and the presence of the double contour sign,the bone erosion and effusion were found (P ＞0.05).Conclusions There were some similar specific sonographic findings of gouty arthritis in the asymptomatic individuals with hyperuricemia.Also,these findings support high frequency ultrasound as a useful tool to detect anatomical damage in the joints,synovial tissue and tendons of asymptomatic individuals with hyperuricemia.

Objective To determine the normal position of the fetal conus medullaris and assess its clinical significance.Methods A total of 550 singleton pregnant women who were examined by fetal ultrasonography in the Department of Ultrasound at the Second Hospital of Fujian Medical University from June 1, 2013 to September 31, 2014 were included.Inclusion criteria were pregnancies with regular menstruation cycle and known last menstrual period, gestational age (GA) confirmed by ultrasonographic examinations, and neonate abnormality excluded by pediatrician after born.Routine obstetric ultrasound examinations were performed to measure the biparietal diameter (BPD), femur length (FL), head circumference (HC) and abdominal circumference (AC).The conus distance (CD) was determined by measuring the distance between the distal end of the conus medullaris and the caudal end of the last vertebra.The average value was calculated for each group according to GA.Fifty normal fetuses were randomly selected for quality control.For inter-observer reliability assessment, the same data were collected and analyzed by two different operators.For intra-observer reliability assessment, the data were collected and analyzed twice by the same operator with an interval of half an hour.Linear regression correlation analysis was performed to analyze the relationship between CD and GA, BPD, FL, HC and AC.Intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) and Bland-Altman analysis were used to analyze the repeatability of the analysis.Results In 518 (94.2％) of 550 fetuses, the CD was successfully measured.Positively correlations between the conus distance and the gestational age was observed.The CD was (10.0± 3.3) mm at ＞ 14-≤ 15 weeks (n=17), (27.7±3.8) mm at ＞ 20-≤ 21 weeks of gestation (n=18), (41.5±2.4) mm at ＞ 26-≤ 27 weeks (n=8), (54.7±3.0) mm at ＞ 32-≤ 33 weeks (n=17), and (71.9±2.7) mm at ＞ 41-≤ 42 weeks (n=6).Linear regression correlations between CD (mm) and FL, AC, HC, BPD and GA were:CD=1.04× FL (mm)-8.71, CD=0.23 × AC (mm)-10.11, CD=0.28× HC (mm)-18.10, CD=0.90× BPD (mm)-17.65, CD=2.34× GA (weeks)-20.94 (r=0.990, 0.985, 0.978, 0.974 and 0.973, respectively, all P ＜ 0.01).The measurement of the conus distance exhibited good reproducibility between different operators (ICC=0.984, 95％CI: 0.972-0.991) and for the same operator (ICC=0.992, 95％CI: 0.985-0.995) with the 95％ limits of agreement of-1.8 to 3.5 mm and-4.3 to 2.1 mm.Bland-Altman analysis showed that most of the measured values were within 95％ confidence interval suggesting good consistency.Conclusions The distance, between the end of the conus medullaris and the end of the last vertebral body under ultrasound scan, is positively correlated with FL and other ultrasonographic indicators, which implies that it could be used as a new index for position of fetal conus medullaris.

Objective To explore the clinical curative effect of micro anchor combined Kirschner wire for treatment of mallet finger.Methods Fifteen patients with mallet finger were treated with operation therapy of micro anchor combined with Kirschner wire fixation,postoperative the distal interphalangeal joint dorsiflexion,proximal interphalangeal joint flexion splint fixation for 4 weeks,pulling Kirschner wire 6 weeks later,and active and passive functional exercise of distal interphalangeal joint.Results Fifteen patients incisions healed well,with no complications.Fifteen patients were followed up for 6-12 months.At last follow-up,9 cases were excellent,5 cases were good,and 1 case was poor.Conclusion The micro anchor combined with Kirschner wire for treatment of mallet finger is simple and effective.

Objective To evaluate the effect of intraperitoneal water soluble lipopolymer (WSLP)/ N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor subunit 2B (NR2B) siRNA compound on the neuropathic pain (NP) in rats.Methods Eighty-four healthy male Sprague-Dawley rats,aged 6 weeks,weighing 180-220 g,were randomly divided into 7 groups (n =12 each) using a random number table:control group (group C),sham operation group (group S),NP group,WSLP/NR2B siRNA group (siWSLP group),WSLP/negative control siRNA group (ncWSLP group),PEI/NR2B siRNA group (PEI group) and WSLP group (WSLP group).NP was produced by ligation of the left L5 spinal nerve.In group S,the left L5 spinal nerve was only exposed,but not ligated.In group C,the rats underwent no treatment.Groups siWSLP,ncWSLP,PEI and WSLP received single intraperitoneal injection of WSLP/NR2B siRNA,WSLP/negative control siRNA,PEI/NR2B siRNA and WSLP compound 2 ml,respectively,at 10 days after NP.At 1 day before operation,7 days after operation,and 3,7,14 and 21 days after intraperitoneal injection,6 rats in each group were chosen randomly to measure mechanical paw withdrawal threshold (MWT) and thermal paw withdrawal latency (TWL).At 3 days after intraperitoneal injection,the left 6 rats in each group were sacrificed and the spinal cord was removed for detection of NP2B mRNA expression (using PCR) and NR2B expression (by Western blot).Results Compared with group C,MWT was significantly decreased,and TWL was shortened on 7 days after operation and 3,7 and 21 days after intraperitoneal injection,and the expression of NR2B mRNA and protein was down-regulated on 3 days after administration in the other groups.Compared with group NP,MWT was significantly increased,and TWL was prolonged on day 3 and 7 after intraperitoneal injection,and the expression of NR2B mRNA and protein was down-regulated on day 3 after administration in siWSLP group.Conclusion Intraperitoneal WSLP/NR2B siRNA compound can effectively relieve the NP in rats.

Objective To assess the outcome of de-epithelialied ileocystoplasty combined with strengthened pelvic floor in patients with neurogenic bladder.Methods Twelve patients (9 male,3 female) aged from 18 -27 years (averaged 25 years) with neurogenic bladder received de-mucosalized seromuscular ileocystoplasty combined with strengthened pelvic floor,and were evaluated by urodynamic parmeters,upper urinary tract image appearance,and serum creatinine before and one year after operation.Results After operation,the max cystometric capacity (412 ± 32 ml),bladder compliance (26.2 ± 4.0ml/H2O),relative safety cystometric capacity (368 ±26 ml) and max flow rate (20 ±3 ml/s) were respectively significantly higher than those preoperation(247 ±27 ml,4.4 ± 1.2 ml/cm H2O,206 ±24 ml,11 ±2ml/s,P ＜ 0.05).Moreover,the post voided residual (26 ± 8 ml) and detmsor leakage point pressure (17.8 ±3.6 cm H2O) were significantly lower than those of preoperation (136 ± 25 ml,63.1 ± 4.9cm H2O,P ＜0.05).The vesicoureteral reflux disappeared in five (63％) cases,and was relieved in the remaining three cases.Of the five cases with renal insufficiency,three (60％) cases had normal serum creatinine level,none had increased serum creatinine levels.After operation,late healing occurred in two ( 17％ ) cases,intestinal obstruction in one (8％),vesicoabdominal fistula in one (8％),and no cases had mucous urine.Clean intermittent self-catheterization was performed in one case (8％) to empty the bladder due to a fever resulting from urinary tract infection,the remaining 12 (92％) cases could empty their bladders through abdominal pressure.Conclusions De-mucosalized seromuscular ileocystoplasty combined with strengthened pelvic floor results in a good outcome for the patients with neurogenic bladder.
