Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of periodontal mechanical therapy on periodontal health and interleukin-6 (IL-6) levels in gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) in type 2 diabetic patients with chronic periodontitis. Methods GCF samples were obtained with filter papers in first molar sites from 37 type 2 diabetic patients with chronic periodontitis. The randomized controlled and blinded clinical trial with a duration of six months was designed to compare effects between three groups of professional mechanical tooth cleaning (PMTC), i.e. coronal scaling (group Ⅱ) with periodontal initial therapy (group Ⅰ) and without clinical therapy (control group). The clinical periodontal index such as probing depth (PD), attachment loss (AL), modified bleeding index (mBI) and bacteria plaque index (PLI) were obtained with a Williams type periodontal probe. Laboratory examination including GCF volume, concentrations and total amounts of IL-6 in GCF were detected with ELISA method. Results Significantly decreasing trends of PD, AL, mBI, GCF volume and total amounts of IL-6 were observed in group Ⅰin all test period. The group Ⅱ had a significant reduction of PD at the third month as compared with baseline (⊿=0.36 mm, P<0.05), and the other figures showed descending trends but didn′t present statistical significances. At the end of study, the group Ⅰand Ⅱ had significant reductions of GCF volume compared with increases of control group (0.96 μ1>0.03 μ1mm>-0.20 μ1, P<0.05). Conclusions The sequential periodontal supra- and sub- gingival scaling has definitive effects on periodontal health improvement and on reducing the IL-6 level in GCF in type 2 diabetic patients.

This study aimed to construct throe-dimensional finite element model of the mandibular complete overdenturo and to analyze the influence rules for stress distribution under different mandibular shapes. The layer cutting method was employed as a basic tool to deal with different plaster models to gain two-dimensional point data. These data were introduced to the commercial software ANSYS to construct throe-dimensional finite element model of the mandibular complete overdenturo, including nine kinds of typical shapes, such as sharpness, roundness and squareness, and etc. Static loads were imposed on denture so as to accomplish biomechanicel analysis and to study the influence rules of stress distribution for mandibular complete overdenturo under different mandibular shapes. Results revealed that the sequence of stress from high to low was squareness, roundness, sharpness and the other extrapolated, basic and inside. The throe-dimensional finite element model has high simulation accuracy and the results provide an experimental foundation and guidance for clinical work.

Methods:
In September 12,2018, 4 269 students were selected by cluster sampling in east, northwest, north, central, southwest and South China, the test of standing long jump, grip strength, 50 m running, improved seat forward bend, 30 s sit ups, 20 s cross repeatedly, 20 m round trip running was completed.
Results:
In comparing the physical fitness index of children and adolescents with different levels of physical activity, the PFI values of the middle and high intensity physical activity (MVPA) groups of boys aged 10-12 and 16-18 years old were (0.46±3.58) (0.75±3.0), the value of PFI of the MVPA group were (-0.69±3.64) (-0.61±2.87), the difference was statistically significant ( t =0.04, 0.57, P >0.05). There was no significant difference in the values of PFI between the four age groups of the girls ( P <0.05). In comparison of physical activity status of children and adolescents in different physical ability grades, the time of MPA, VPA and physical exercise in healthy physical ability group was higher than that in unhealthy physical ability group ( Z =-2.04, -4.93, -7.09, P <0.05). Linear regression analysis showed that there was a positive correlation between daily MVPA, physical exercise and physical fitness index ( P <0.05).
Conclusion
Moderate and high intensity physical activity, that is, physical exercise, is positively correlated with physical fitness index. Therefore, it is particularly important for children and adolescents to engage in sufficient moderate and vigorous intensity physical activities.

Objective To explore the pathogens and clinical characterization of hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD)in Huzhou city from 2013 to 2014. Methods All 253 specimens included 208 stool specimens and 45 throat swabs, and clinical data from 208 children cases with hand, foot and mouth diseases (HFMD)were collected. Preliminary de-tection for all of the specimens was performed by one-step triple real-time RT-PCR assay. Results Real-time RT-PCR assay indicated that the positive rate of Enterovirus(EV)from 208 cases was 83.17%(173/208),and the percent-ages of EV71,CoxA16 and other's EV subtypes in 173 enteroviruses were 55.49%,13.29%and 31.21%,respectively. These results were not significant differences between male and female children. EV71 from children with HFMD was predominant strain below 5 old years (≤5),and other's EV subtypes were predominant strains over 5 years (>5). Of fever with herpes was main clinical symptom in patients with HFMD,and EV71 was primary enterovirus induced many clinical features, such as fever with herpes or vomiting or neurological symptoms and so on. Additionally, detection rate of EV in stool specimens was significant higher than that in throat swabs. Conclusion EV71 and other's EV sub-types are predominant strains, CoxA16 strains have a downtrend in patients with HFMD in Huzhou city, so that the medical workers should improve the ability of surveillance to EV,EV71 and CoxA16 in order to make better for control and prevention of the HFMD diseases.

Journal of Medical Biomechanics 2021;36(4):E576-E581
Objective To analyze and compare pore characteristics and mechanical properties of models with solid and sheet triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) structures, and build a porous structure with high specific surface area, low stiffness and high strength. Methods The solid TPMS and sheet TPMS models of D, G, and P units with the same porosity were established, and pore characteristics of the model such as pore diameter, rod diameter and specific surface area were compared; mechanical properties of the model were analyzed by finite element method. The porous titanium samples were made by additive manufacturing technology, pore characteristics of porous titanium were observed by microscope and scanning electron microscope, and mechanical properties of porous titanium were detected by compression test. Results The specific surface area of the sheet structure with the same unit was significantly higher than that of the solid structure; mechanical properties of the sheet structure with the same were significantly better than those of the solid structure. Among them, the D unit sheet TPMS model had the most significant advantages, with the specific surface area of 13.00 mm-1, and the elastic modulus, yield strength and compressive strength of the sheet porous titanium sample were (5.65±0.08) GPa, (181.03±1.30) MPa and (239.83±0.45) MPa, respectively, which were 43.87%, 55.08% and 67.21% higher than those of the solid porous titanium sample. Conclusions While retaining low rigidity of the porous structure, the sheet TPMS model of the same unit has a larger specific surface area, which is beneficial for cell adhesion and growth, and its low stiffness and high strength mechanical properties can effectively reduce stress shielding and provide sufficient mechanical support. It is an ideal pore structure model for bone defect repair substitutes.
