Objective Toinvestigatetheentropyoflocalfieldpotentials(LFPs)recordedinratmedialprefrontal cortex during a Y-maze working memory (WM) task, to provide computing support for neural coding mechanism. Methods Sixteen-channel LFPs were recorded from SD rats while they performed a Y-maze WM task. The data came from 4 rats, 20 trials (10 correct trials and 10 incorrect trials) per rat provided by laboratory of neurobiology in medicine,Tianjin Medical University.Original LFPs were preprocessed to remove 50 Hz power line noise and baseline drift.Multi-taper Fourier transform was applied to calculate spatial distributions of LFPs and band pass filter were used to extract characteristic signal. The entroy coding of 16 channel LFPs was as follows: the physiological window was set to be 500 ms, the step length of physiological window was set to be 125 ms, windows were added to LFPs data, and then LFPs entropy of each sliding window was computed and averaged to get the trend of multichannel entropy values duringthe WM task. Results The power of θ band (4-12 Hz) in LFPs increased. The averaged entropy value ofmultichannel θ band LFPs in correct trials was 0.939±-0.020, which were larger than those in the resting state, 0.795±0.031 (P<0.05).Those during wrong WM task had no significant difference, which didn't encode the WM task. Conclusions The principal frequency band related to WM is the θ band and LFPs entropy encodes the WM effectively.

Objective To establish the clinical reference of serum homocysteine in Xi’an region. Methods 310 cases of serum of healthy persons were collected to test the homocysteine concentrations using Enzyme circulation method. Results Health-y adult male homocysteine value was significantly higher than female and its reference range was:men 0~1 6.3 5μmol/L and women 0~12.89μmol/L.Conclusion Have established the healthy crowd in Xi’an region serum HCY reference for the re-gion’s heart cerebrovascular disease treatment and prognosis.

Objective:To test the hypothesis that Pertussis toxin (PTX) can promote the occurrence of interstitial lung disease (ILD) in experimental autoimmune myositis (EAM) model and clarify the potential pathogenic mechanism. Methods:EAM mice model were induced by Skeletal muscle thomogenate with or without PTX, and the relationship between ILD phenotypes and neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) infiltration was analyzed by histopathological and serological studies in EAM with PTX group and EAM without PTX group. Healthy mice were given PTX alone intraperitoneally to clarify whether NETs formation could be induced in vivo, and neutrophils separated from healthy human blood were intervened with PTX to induce NETs formation in vitro. The data was tested for normality using Shapiro-Wilk. Statistical methods and were analyzed using t-test or ANOVA, and multiple comparisons between different groups were tested using Tukey test. Results:Compared with EAM without PTX group, lung tissues in EAM with PTX group had multiple pathological changes similar to polymyositis/dermatomyositis-related ILD. Nonspecific interstitial pneumonia and usual interstitial pneumonia were the main pathological types. The pulmonary interstitial lesions were accompanied by significant infiltration of NETs; and serum NETs markers levels were obviously elevated in EAM with PTX group, compared with the control group [ n=5, (87±10) ng/ml], cfDNA levels were statistically significantly elevated in both the EAM without PTX group [ n=4, (115±27) ng/ml] and the EAM with PTX group [ n=7, (150±50) ng/ml] ( F=4.24, P=0.038); Cit-H3-DNA levels were elevated in the EAM without PTX group ( n=4, 0.24±0.09), and in the EAM EAM with PTX group ( n=6, 0.33±0.11) compared with the control group ( n=4, 0.13±0.02) ( F=6.21, P=0.016). After PTX intervention, serum cfDNA levels were higher in the PTX group [ n=3, (100±40) ng/ml] than in the control group [ n=3, (45±12) ng/ml, t=2.27, P=0.086]; PTX also induced neutrophils to form NETs in vitro. Conclusion:PTX may promote the development of ILD in EAM mice model by inducing the formation of NETs, indicating that EAM mice can serve as a model for targeting NETs to study the pathogenesis ILD.

Objective:To summarize the clinical manifestations, imaging characteristics, and diagnoses basis of adrenomyeloneuropathy (AMN).Methods:The clinical data of 3 patients with AMN, admitted to our hospital from November 2016 to April 2019, were retrospectively collected. The clinical manifestations, imaging features, and diagnostic process of these patients were analyzed. Results:Three young male patients had onset with gradual aggravation of unilateral or bilateral lower limb insufficiency. MR imaging showed symmetrical abnormal signals in brainstem in 2 patients, and atrophy of thoracic spinal cord in 1 patient. By target region capture sequencing, mutations in the ABCD1 gene were found in all 3 patients; 2 underwent pedigree validation; the remaining one patient and his mother had failed Sanger sequencing validation due to pseudogene interference, and elevated plasma level of very long chain fatty acid (VLCFA) was noted in this patient. Conclusions:AMN usually initiates in the adulthood with spastic paraplegia as onset. Symmetrical lesions in brainstem or atrophy of spinal cord can be manifested on MR imaging; some patients may be accompanied by adrenocortical insufficiency. The definite diagnosis mainly depends on genetic screening and determination of VLCFA level in the blood.

The total number of cancer patients who are eligible for and will benefit from immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) in China has not been quantified. This cross-sectional study was conducted to estimate the number of Chinese cancer patients with eligibility and response to ICIs based on the 2015 Chinese cancer statistics and the immune checkpoint inhibitor clinical practice guideline of the Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology. A total of 11 ICIs were recommended for 17 cancer types. The estimated number of eligible patients annually was 1 290 156 (55.18%), which included 888 738 males (60.05%) and 400 468 females (46.67%). The estimated number of responders annually was 448 972 (19.20%), which included 309 023 males (20.88%) and 139 764 females (16.29%). Gastric cancer (n=291 000, 12.45%), non-small-cell lung cancer (n=289 629, 12.39%), and hepatocellular carcinoma (n=277 100, 11.85%) were the top three cancer types with the highest number of eligible patients. Non-small-cell lung cancer (n=180 022, 7.70%), hepatocellular carcinoma (n=75 648, 3.24%), and small-cell lung cancer (n=64 362, 2.75%) were the top three cancer types with the highest number of responders. In conclusion, ICIs provide considerable benefit in Chinese cancer patients under optimal estimation.
