Fractional radiofrequency(FRF)is an aesthetic technique that utilizes electric current emanating from electrode or microneedle arrays to heat the dermis in a fractional pattern, with only little damage to the epidermis. The recovery process following the heat damage involves multiple heat shock proteins, matrix metalloproteinases, cytokines, etc, which can stimulate the proliferation of collagen and elastic fibers in the dermis. It has been applied to treat wrinkles, skin laxity, acne scars and other aesthetic skin problems, and has proved to be a safe and effective cosmetic method for the improvement of atrophic acne scars, inflammatory acnes and postinflammatory erythema. It has few adverse effects, including tolerable pain, transient erythema, edema and mild crusting, so the downtime is short. FRF is more suitable for populations with dark complexions because of low risks of postinflammatory hyper?pigmentation. Recently, it has been used in combination with other devices such as lasers, or been used to assist transdermal drug delivery, and has shown remarkable therapeutic effects and favorable application prospects.

Objective To compare the efficiency of compressive bandage dressing and drainage on the blood loss after total knee arthroplasty (TKA). Methods Patients (n=120) who visited Tianjin General Hospital Bin Hai Branch and Tianjin People's Hospital due to varus knee osteoarthritis and underwent TKA were retrospectively analyzed. There are 20 males and 100 females with, mean age was 65.18±6.88 years. Depending on whether placement of drainage, patients were divided into drainage group (60 cases) and pressure bandage dressing group (60 cases). Blood loss, blood transfusion and full blood count (FBC) were all analyzed after TKA in both groups. Results Blood loss after TKA in drainage and pressure dressing group were (1 026.85±274.44),(789.52±251.58) mL respectively. Blood loss was less severe in pressure dressing group than that in drainage group (t=4.938, P<0.01). Allogeneic transfusions were needed in 14 cases of drainage group and five cases of pres?sure bandage dressing group. The circumstances that requires blood transfusion was significantly lower in pressure bandage group than that in drainage group (χ2=5.065, P<0.05). The postoperative limb swelling and postoperative joint mobility did not show statistical significance (P>0.05). Conclusion Application of compressive bandage dressing in TKA surgery is easy to be operate and can reduce perioperative blood loss and allogeneic transfusion incidence.

PET and PET/CT are the methods of displaying the functional and metabolic changes in tissues. With its high sensitivity and specificity, it can be used as a noninvasive systemic functional examination. There are significant values in its diagnosing, staging, treatment directing and prognosis assessing in the malignant lymphoma.

Objective To evaluate the role of Na+-K+-2Cl-cotransporter isoform 1 (NKCC1) in neurons in sevoflurane-induced epileptiform electroencephalogram (EEG) activity in the cortex of neonatal rats. Methods Twenty-four neonatal Sprague-Dawley rats, aged 4-6 days, weighing 8-15 g,were randomly divided into 3 groups (n =8 each) using a random number table:control group (group C),sevoflurane group (group S),and NKCC1 inhibitor bumetanide + sevoflurane group (group B).After electrodes were placed correctly,EEG was monitored continuously. At 30 min of monitoring, normal saline 3 μl/g was injected intraperitoneally in D and S groups, and bumetanide 10 μg/g was injected intraperitoneally in group B.At 60 min after the end of intraperitoneal administration, anesthesia was induced with inhalation of 6% sevoflurane for 3 min and maintained with inhalation of 2.1% sevoflurane for 1 h in group S and group B.The total duration of seizures, the duration of a single episode, the number of episodes of electroencephalographic seizures, and the amplitude and frequency of spike-and-wave were recorded. Results Seizures were not detected in group C,and no spike-and-wave was found in group B.Compared with group C,the incidence of seizures in S and B groups (75% and 25%,respectively) and incidence of spike-and-wave in group S (100%) were significantly increased (P<0.05).Compared with group S,the incidence of seizures and spike-and-wave was significantly decreased, the total duration of seizures, and duration of a single episode were significantly shortened, and the number of episodes of electroencephalographic seizures was significantly decreased in group B (P<0.05).Conclusion NKCC1 in neurons may be involved in the formation of sevoflurane-induced epileptiform EEG activity in the cortex of neonatal rats.

Results All cases included:8 cases of liposarcoma with predominant fat components, 2 cases of fibrosarcoma with evident involvement of adjacent tissues,2 cases of leiomyosarcoma with multiple centers fused, 4 cases of schwannoma localized at paraspine and cystic generation commonly,1 case of ganglioma with hypodense parenchyma,1 case of neuroblastoma with large calcification, 1 case of paraganglioma and 2 cases of chemodectoma and enhanced obviously,1 case of pheochromocytoma enhanced evidently with cystic generation ,1 case of neuroendocrinoma without specific characteristic and 1 case of teratoma with 3 layers of embryo tissues. Conclusion CT acan is able to localize the primary retroperitoneal tumors accurately, but specific CT features only see in some cases.

OBJECTIVETo compare the effects between mild moxibustion and specific electromagnetic spectrum therapy apparatus (TDP) for obsolete collateral ligament injury of interphalangeal joints.
METHODSSixty patients were randomly divided into a mild moxibustion group and a TDP group, 30 cases in each one. In the mild moxibustion group, pure moxa sticks were used at the affected digital joints locally for 20-30 min a time. In the TDP group, TDP was applied at the affected digital joints locally for 20-30 min a time. The treatment was given once a day for two courses, and 10-day treatment was made into a course. Visual analogue scale (VAS) for pain, swelling degree of the affected digital joints before and after treatment were observed and the clinical efficacy and safety were evaluated in the two groups.
RESULTSThe excellent rate was 56.7% (17/30) and the excellent and, good rate was 83.4% (25/30) in the mild moxibustion group, which were better than 36.7% (11/30) and 76.7% (23/30) in the TDP group respectively (both P < 0.01). After treatment the score of VAS and digital joints swelling degree were improved than those before treatment in the two groups (P < 0.01, P < 0.05), and the improvements of the mild moxibustion group were better than those of the TDP group (P < 0.01, P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONMild moxibustion can apparently relieve the painful and swelling degree of obsolete collateral ligament injury of interphalangeal joints, which is superior to TDP.
