Objective To detect the content of polysaccharides in Radix and Rootlet ophiopogonins. Methods Phenylhydrate-sulfuric acid method was used. Results The maximum absorption wavelength was 485 nm. Linear range was 0.101～1.012 mg/L (A=0.826 7C+0.016 3, r=0.999 2). The polysaccharide content in Radix ophiopogonis was 0.301 6 mg/g, and in Rootlet ophiopogonis was 0.359 4 mg/g. The average recovery rate was 100.30% and RSD was 3.14%. Conclusion The polysaccharide content in Rootlet Ophiopogonis was not lower than in Radix Ophiopogonis. It deserves to be more developed and researched.

Objective Study on efficacy of epileptic patients on treatment with modified Chaihu Guizhi De -coction(Chinese traditional medicine compounds )combined with anti-epilepsy drug.Methods 90 case of epileptic patients were randomly assigned to study group or control group ,45 case for each .The control group was treated only with anti-epilepsy drug , and the study group was treated with modified Chaihu Guizhi Decoction and anti -epilepsy drug.Observed and compared the treatment effect as well as the monthly average of seizure frequency of the epilepsy after treatment.Results The study group effective rate was 82.22%,which significant higher than the control group (64.44%).The study group's monthly average of seizure frequency was lower than the control group , the clinical effect between the control group and the study group were differences significantly (p<0.05).Conclusion Modified Chaihu Guizhi Decoction combined with anti -epilepsy drug can significantly reduce the seizure frequency of the epi-leptic patients in the treatment of epilepsy .It's worthy to be widely applied in clinical .

Objective To investigate the clinical value of heart-type fatty acid-binding protein ( H-FABP) and N terminal probrain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) in sepsis patients with myocardium injury. Methods 118 sepsis patients were included as survivor group (68 cases) and death group (50 cases) according to their prognosis outcome. 50 healthy people were selected as control group. Creatase, H-FABP, NT-proBNP, APACHEⅡscore and 28 day morbidity of control group and sepsis patients were assessed at 1 h, 6 h after admission by physical examination . Results At 1 h after admission , APACHEⅡscore , H-FABP and NT-proBNP level in sepsis patients were significantly higher than control group (P < 0.05); APACHEⅡscore, H-FABP, NT-proBNP and cTnI level at 6 h after admission were higher than that at 1 h (P < 0.05); APACHEⅡscore, H-FABP and NT-proBNP level in death group were higher than survivor group at 1, 6 h after admission (P < 0.05), cTnI level at 6 h after admission was higher in death group (P < 0.05). Futhermore, H-FABP, NT-proBNP and cTnI at 6 h after admission were positively correlated with each other (both P < 0.05). At 6 h after admission , H-FABP showed a better predictive value of 28-day mortality than NT-proBNP and APACHEⅡscore (P < 0.05). Conclusion H-FABP and NT-proBNP may suggest important significance in early diagnosis and prognosis prediction of sepsis patients with myocardium injury.

Objective To study the presence of microflammation state in ESRD patients and the relationship between microinflammation state and atherosclerosis. Methods Inflammatory cytokines and carotid artery B ultrasound data of 246 ESRD patients and 43 cases with normal renal function as control were collected. The presence of microflammation state and its relationship to atherosclerosis were studied. Results The levels of inflammatory cytokines(CRP,IL 6,TNF ?)in ESRD patients were mostly in normal range, but still much higher than those in control.According to the level of CRP,the patients were divided into three groups.Significant differences of carotid artery B ultrasound and prevalence of cerebrocardiovasculer events were found between two groups with CRP levels less and higher than 4 mg/L. According to the history of atherosclerosis cerebrocardiovasculer disease,patients were divided into two groups. Levels of CRP, IL 6, TNF ?were higher in patients with cerebrocardiovasculer disease than those in patients without, but still in normal range. Conclusions There is a microinflammation status in ESRD patients. The microinflammation status may be a risk factor of high prevalence and mortality of atherosclerosis related cardiovascular events in ESRD patients.

Objective:To study the extraction method of total flavonoids in Mosla hangzhowensis Matsuda.Methods:Orthogonal experiment design was used,with the content of the total flavonoids as the index,to study the effect of ethanol concentration,solvent quantity and extraction time on recovery rate of total flavonoids.Results:The best extraction condition was:extract two times;adding 20 fold 65% ethanol and to extract an hour each time.Conclusion:This extraction method is convenient and feasible.

AIM To investigate the effects of safflower yellow on myocardial injury in patients with severe sepsis.METHODS Using prospective research methods,ninety-two patients with severe sepsis treated in our hospital from Jan.2013 to Mar.2016 were divided equally into two groups:control group (routine treatment) and observation group (routine treatment + safflower yellow).In addition,6 and 72 hours after the treatment,heart-type fatty acid binding protein (H-FABP),creatine kinase (CK) and creatine kinase isoenzyme (CK-MB) of patients were detected,and the changes of left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) and sequential organ failure assessment (SOFA) scores were observed;length of ICU stay,cumulative incidence of major adverse cardiac events (MACE) and 28-day survival also were recorded at the same time.RESULTS In admission,there were no differences in the levels of H-FABP,CK,CK-MB and LVEF,SOFA scores between the two groups.After 6 hours treatment,the levels of H-FABP,CK,CK-MB and SOFA score in the observation group were lower than those in the control group;the two groups had higher levels of H-FABP,CK and CK-MB than those before the treatment,SOFA score was lower than that before the treatment;After 72 hours treatment,H-FABP,CK,CK-MB and SOFA score were lower than those after 6 hours treatment;SOFA score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group;there were no differences in H-FABP,CK and CK-MB between the two groups.The observation group had a lower cumulative incidence of MACE than the control group.There was no statistical difference in LVEF and length of ICU stay after the treatment between the two groups.The observation group had a higher 28-day survival than the control group,the difference was statistically significant (76.08％,35/46 vs 54.35％,25/46;x2 =4.529,P =0.033).The level of serum H-FABP in severe sepsis patients was negatively correlated with LVEF (r =-0.270,P =0.009).CONCLUSION Therapeutic effects of safflower yellow on myocardial injury in patients with severe sepsis is superior to routine treatment with the improvement of the prognosis of patients to a certain extent.

This study examined the dynamic characteristics of upper airway collapse at soft palate level in patients with obstructive sleep apnea/hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS) by using dynamic 3-Dimensional (3-D) CT imaging. A total of 41 male patients who presented with 2 of the following symptoms, i.e., daytime sleepiness and fatigue, frequent snoring, and apnea with witness, were diagnosed as having OSAHS. They underwent full-night polysomnography and then dynamic 3-D CT imaging of the upper airway during quiet breathing and in Muller's maneuver. The soft palate length (SPL), the minimal cross-sectional area of the retropalatal region (mXSA-RP), and the vertical distance from the hard palate to the upper posterior part of the hyoid (hhL) were compared between the two breathing states. These parameters, together with hard palate length (HPL), were also compared between mild/moderate and severe OSAHS groups. Association of these parameters with the severity of OSAHS [as reflected by apnea hypopnea index (AHI) and the lowest saturation of blood oxygen (LSaO(2))] was examined. The results showed that 31 patients had severe OSAHS, and 10 mild/moderate OSAHS. All the patients had airway obstruction at soft palate level. mXSA-RP was significantly decreased and SPL remarkably increased during Muller's maneuver as compared with the quiet breathing state. There were no significant differences in these airway parameters (except the position of the hyoid bone) between severe and mild/moderate OSAHS groups. And no significant correlation between these airway parameters and the severity of OSAHS was found. The position of hyoid was lower in the severe OSAHS group than in the mild/moderate OSAHS group. The patients in group with body mass index (BMI)≥26 had higher collapse ratio of mXSA-RP, greater neck circumference and smaller mXSA-RP in the Muller's maneuver than those in group with BMI<26 (P<0.05 for all). It was concluded that dynamic 3-D CT imaging could dynamically show the upper airway changes at soft palate level in OSAHS patients. All the OSAHS patients had airway obstruction of various degrees at soft palate level. But no correlation was observed between the airway change at soft palate level and the severity of OSAHS. The patients in group with BMI≥26 were more likely to develop airway obstruction at soft palate level than those with BMI<26.

AIM:To investigate the potential role of Sonic hedgehog (Shh) signaling pathways in the radioresistance of esophageal cancer.METHODS:Radioresistant cell line Eca109R was established by repeating X-ray irradiation at dose of 60 Gy in total using Eca109 cells as parental cells.The radiosensitivity of the parental and radioresistant cells was confirmed by colony formation assay.The cell viability was detected by CCK-8 assay.The intracellular protein levels of Shh and Gli1 were determined by Western blot and immunofluorescence.RESULTS:The survival fractions at dose of 2 Gy for Eca109R cells and Eca109 cells were 0.937±0.013 and 0.499±0.042, respectively.The inhibitory rate of cell viability decreased gradually in the Eca109R cells (P<0.05), suggesting that the radioresistant cell line was successfully established.The results of Western blot indicated that the protein expression of Shh and Gli1 was much higher in the Eca109R cells than that in the Eca109 cells (P<0.05).Immunofluorescence staining showed that Gli1 was expressed in the cytoplasm and nucleus, and presented nuclear clustering in the Eca109R cells.The positive rate of Gil1 expression in Eca109 cells was 52.3%± 0.035%, while that in Eca109R cells was 87.6%±0.021% (P<0.05).CONCLUSION:The radioresistance of esophageal cancer may be related to the activation of Shh signaling pathways with over-expression of Gli1 and other related proteins.

AIM To investigate the effects of Shuxuening Injection (Ginkgo biloba extract) combined with ganglioside on cerebral oxygen utilization coefficient (O2UCc) and lactate clearance rate (LCR) in patients with acute severe carbon monoxide poisoning (ASCOP).METHODS Two hundred and sixty-two patients with ASCOP treated in emergency department of Harrison International Peace Hospital Affiliated to Hebei Medical University from Mar 2011 to Mar 2016 were randomly divided into control group,Shuxuening Injection group,ganglioside group and Shuxuening Injection combined with ganglioside (combined medication) group.The changes were detected in oxygen saturations of carotid blood and jugular blood,arterial blood lactic acid,O2UCc and LCR in all patients before and 6,24 hours,3 days after the treatment.The clinical symptoms,and the mortality and morbidity of delayed encephalopathy after acute carbon monoxide poisoning after two weeks were observed.RESULTS Total effective rate of the combined medication group was higher than that of the other groups.O2 Ucc at 6,24 hours after the treatment in the combined medication group were significantly lower than those in the other groups,so did the mortality and morbidity of delayed encephalopathy after acute carbon monoxide poisoning,but LCR was significantly higher than that in the other groups.All the differences had statistical significances.CONCLUSION The efficacy of combined medication of Shuxuening Injection and ganglioside in ASCOP patients is better than that of applying single administration separately.

Objective HGF and its receptor ( c-met) are principal mediators of mesenchymal-epithelial interac-tion in several different systems.Moreover, hair follicle is a model of mesenchymal-epithelial interaction.The aim of this study was to explore whether HGF/c-met signal plays a role in the control of hair follicle growth cycle.Methods To ex-amine the localization of HGF/c-met in anagen, catagen and telogen in the hair follicle of ICR mice.Results HGF was mainly located in the dermal papilla and sebaceous gland, and c-Met in the hair matrix, root sheath and epidermis.Both HGF and c-met expressions peaked during anagen, not found in catagen, and increased during telogen-anagen phase.Con-clusions Our results demonstrate a regulatory role of HGF and c-met in the control of hair follicle growth in ICR mice.
