ObjectiveTo observe the clinical effects of locking proximal humerus plate(LPHP) in the treatment of complex proximal humeral fracture of aged patients and to analyze the influencing factors. Methods Among 39 cases with complex humeral fractures (aged 60-83 years),there were 29 cases with three-part fractures and 10 with four-part fractures according to the Neer classification. They were operated by LPHP via deltoid-pectoral approach. Neer numerical rating system was employed to evaluate postoperative function of shoulders.Results39 cases were followed up for average of 16 months.According to Neer numerical rating system, the excellence rates of three-part fractures and four-part fractures were 86.2% (25 cases) and 50.0% (5 cases),respectively, with total excellence rate of 76.9%(30 cases). Age (OR =1.314, P<0.05) and fracture type ( OR =1.295, P<0.05)ofpatientswereindependentriskfactorsforprognosis of proximal humeral fracture of aged patients by multiple logistic regression. Conclusions LPHP is an effective implant for treating complex proximal humeral fracture of aged patients, with age and fracture types as important risk factors of prognosis.<英文关键词>=humeral fractures

Journal of China Pharmaceutical University 2009;40(4):370-373
Aim: To preliminarily investigate the antioxidant activity of the acidic exopolysaccharide(EPS-A) from cultivated Cordyceps sisnensis in vitro and in vivo. Methods: PC12 cells were injured by H_2O_2 after the cells were treated with different doses of EPS-A for 6 h, and then the levels of malondialdelyde( MDA) and superoxide dis-mutase (SOD) in PC12 cells were determined. H22 cells were inoculated into the right oxter of each mouse after ICR mice were treated with EPS-A for 7 days, and tumor-bearing mice were treated with EPS-A for 7 days. MDA level and SOD activity in liver, brain and serum were assayed, and tumor weight of each mouse was measured as well. Results: EPS-A significantly decreased the production of MDA and increased SOD activity in H_2O_2-injured PC12 cells. Moreover, EPS-A inhibited H22 tumor growth in mice, in which the level of MDA in liver and brain was reduced, and SOD activity in liver, brain and serum was enhanced. Conclusion: EPS-A exhibited antioxidant activity in cell cultures and mice.

Journal of Preventive Medicine 2024;36(7):632-635
Objective:
To analyze the semen quality parameters of sperm donor volunteers, so as to provide insights into male infertility control and related research.
Methods:
A total of 155 sperm donors were recruited from the Human Sperm Bank of Zhejiang Province using the convenience sampling method from January to March 2021. Demographic information were collected through questionnaire surveys. Semen were collected, and parameters including semen volume, sperm concentration, total number of sperm, forward motility rate and total sperm viability were measured. Semen quality was evaluated according to the WHO Laboratory Manual for the Examination and Processing of Human Semen.
:
Results
Conclusion
There were 20.65% of the 155 sperm donors with unqualified semen, and the unqualified rates of forward motility rate and total sperm viability were relatively high.

ObjectiveToinvestigatethekidneyyangdeficiencyconstitutionandhypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal ( HPA) axis dysfunction in Lewis rats .Method Two kidney yang deficiency models were established by subcutaneous injection of hydrocortisone and by adrenalectomy to induce hypothalamic -pituitary-adrenal ( HPA) axis dysfunction in Lewis rats.Wistar rats were used as control and compared with the two types of Lewis rat models of kidney yang deficiency .The degree of kidney yang deficiency of the Lewis rats was evaluated by examination and detection of the general signs , behavior , and neuroendocrine function , and so on .Result Compared with the normal Wistar rats , the body weight of Lewis rats was significantly higher than that of Wistar rats at the same age .The body temperature , urine volume and grip strength were significantly lower than those of Wistar rats ( P<0.01 for all ) .The memory ability of the Lewis rats was slightly decreased. The liver, kidney and adrenal indexes were significantly decreased in the Lewis rats (P<0.01).The levels of serum ACTH, CRH, cGMP, Cort and urine 17OHCS were significantly decreased (P<0.01).Conclusion A very slight deficiency of adrenal cortex function of Lewis rats is caused by genetic inheritance , and Lewis rats have the constitution of congenital kidney yang deficiency ( criticality or prophase of kidney yang deficiency ) .
