Objective To perform Low dose dynamic MSCT( multi-slice CT) in sleeping obstructive sleep apnea syndrome ( OSAS) patients correcting the imprecise measure values in waking state, and to exactly analyse the location and extension of the dynamic changes about the condition. Methods Sixteen OSAS patients were scanned both in waking and naturally sleeping period ( end phase of inspiration and expiration). Measured at the narrowest part of the retropalatal ( RP) and retroglossal ( RG) and 5 mm under the tip of epiglottis at the epiglottal ( EPG) at the end period of inspiration in sleeping, respectively, and compared the accurate pos(?)on of the narrowest or occlusive level in 3 phases. All patients were also scanned using cine mode at the narrowest level at the end period of inspiration in sleeping to show the pharyngeal cavity changes during sleep. Objective To investigate the expression of the basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) in normal and degenerated human intervertebral discs in order to determine whether bFGF is related to degeneration of the intervertebral disc. Methods The specimens of the intervertebral discs from 11 male and 19 female patients undergone lumbar disc herniation surgery (observation group) and 6 patients with scoliosis following anterior release (control group) were harvested. The tissues were histologically observed to confirm their degenerated or normal status and then conducted for the expression of bFGF and its mRNA with immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization. Results In the observation group, all the samples were found to be degenerated disc tissue, and the positive rate of the expression of bFGF was 90% (27/30) with immunohistochemistry and 20% (6/30) with in situ hybridization. In the control group, all the samples were shown to be normal disc tissues, and had negative expression of bFGF with immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization. The positive rate of the expression of bFGF showed significant difference between the two groups. Conclusion The expression of bFGF showed significant difference between the degenerated and normal intervertebral discs, which indicated that the bFGF might promote proliferation of chondrocyte and synthesis of extracellular matrix in the degenerated discs as a proliferation stimulating factor.

Objective To study the best parameters of low dose MSCT in examining the pharyngeal disease.Methods 20 volunteers were scanned by MSCT using 10 mm collimation,10 mm interval,120 kV,200 mA,100 mA,50 mA,25 mA parameters,respectively.All of the data was reformed(collimation 2.5 mm,interval 1.3 mm) on ADW 4.0 workstation.The image quality in different dose were scored respectively by 4 experienced radiolagists. Results The best appropriate parameter was 10 mm collimation,10 mm interval,120 kV,50 mA.Conclusion In examining the pharyngeal disease,the application of low dose(120 kV,50 mA) scan mode not only can assure the image quality but can decrease the exposure to patients.

A method based on ultra performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry ( UPLC-MS/MS) has been proposed for the determination of coccidiostat residues in chicken skin and fat. The sample was extracted with the combination of methanol, acetonitrile, and acetic acid, and cleaned-up by Sep-Pak tC18 solid phase extraction cartridge. Data acquisition under positive electrospray mode was performed by applying multiple reaction monitoring for both identification and quantification. The limits of detection and quantification for halofuginone and robenidine were 7 μg/kg and 20 μg/kg, respectively. The limit of detection of salinomycin, monensin, narasin, maduramicin, and lasalocid was 5 μg/kg, and limit of quantification was 15 μg/kg. The recovery was 75% to 110% in the spiked concentration range from 15 μg/kg to 200 μg/kg, with intra-day precision lower than 12. 8%, and inter-day precision lower than 13 . 4%.

Objective To study the disinfection efficacy of c ompound disinfectant of peracetic acid. Methods Suspended liqu id quantitative sterilization test and metal corrosion test were carried out wit h different concentrations of disinfectant compound. Results T he killing rate of Bacillus subtilis var.niger spores e xposed to peracetic acid 500 mg*L-1 or available chlorine 300 mg*L-1 for 15 minutes was 99.94% and 97.91% respectively, while that of the spores e xpos ed to the compound disinfectant containing both of them reached 100%. The influ ence of organic substances on the bactericidal efficacy of this compound disinfe ctant was less than that on the bactericidal efficacy of the single ingredient. The corrosive effect of the compound disinfectant on the metals was milder than that of peracetic acid, but heavier than that of dichlorodimethylhydantoin. Conclusions Disinfectant efficacy of compound disinfectant increase s clearly, while metal corrosiveness decreases.

Objective To observe the effect of music therapy on stroke patients with depression.Methods 70 post-stroke depression patients were divided into the observation group and the control group according to the hospitalized number,the control group received conventional therapy neurology without giving antidepressants;the observation group were given music therapy group basis.Both groups were at the time of enrollment and after treatment using the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAMD),Self-rating Depression Scale (SDS) for the two groups of patients assessed the degree of depression.Results After the treatment,the HAMD score of the observation group was (23.57 ± 10.33)points,compared with the control group[(28.20 ± 8.83)points],the difference was statistically significant (t =2.02,P ＜ 0.05);the SDS score of the observation group was (61.00 ± 10.67) points,compared with the control group [] (66.11 ± 10.38) points],the difference was statistically significant (t =-2.03,P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Music therapy for depression in patients with post-stroke recovery has a positive meaning.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the distribution of pathogens and their antibiotic resistance in lower respiratory tract infection(LRTI) from intensive care unit(ICU) in our hospital,and provide basis for rational selection of clinical drugs.METHODS Pathogens were detected from qualified sputum specimens in LRTI from ICU and identified by VITEK-AMS60 automatic microbial analyzing system.Drug susceptibility was determined by KB test.RESULTS From 320 sputum specimens 367 pathogens were detected between from Jan 2007 to Mar 2008,including 261 strains(71.1%) of Gram-negative bacilli,70 strains(19.1%) of fungi,and 36 strains(9.8%) of Gram-positive cocci.21.8% Of the isolated pathogens were Acinetobacter baumannii,with 16.7% of drug-resistant rate to cefoperazone/sulbactam and over 71% to other 13 antibiotic agents.The rate of extended spectrum ?-lactamases(ESBLs) producing Escherichia coli isolates and Klebsiella pneumoniae ones were 65.2% and 72.0%,respectively,comparing to 84.6% for meticillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus(MRSA).CONCLUSIONS Gram-negative bacilli are the major pathogens of LRTI in ICU,in which A.baumannii shows with a high rate of drug-resistance,followed by fungi,which should attract the clinician′s more attention.

Objective To investigate the effects of the exercise training on the cognitive function ,choline acetyltransferase (ChAT) activity and acetylcholinesterase (AchE) activity in stroke prone spontaneously hypertensive rat (SHR/SP) vascular de-mentia model .Methods 30 male SHR/SP rats were randomly divided into sham operation group ,model group and exercise group (n=10) .The VD model was established by the fractional ligation of bilateral carotid artery (2-VO) .The sham operation group and the model group were given the normal feeding without intervention after operation ;the exercise group adopted the treadmill exer-cise(DSPT-1) for 8 weeks .After the exercise ,the Morris maze test was conducted for evaluating the cognitive function in each group .The rats were finally killed for detecting the ChAT activity and AchE activity of hippocampus .Results In the positioning navigation training ,the latency period of the sham operation group was significantly short than that of the exercise group and the model group ,but the latency period of the exercise group was obviously short than that of rats in the model group (P<0 .05);in the spatial exploration test ,the rats in the sham operation group had more frequency of crossing platform than the other two groups ,the exercise group had more frequency of crossing platform in platform quadrant than the model group (P<0 .05);the exercise training could increase the ChAT activity and lower the AchE activity of hippocampus .Conclusion The exercise training can improve the function of hippocampal cholinergic system in SHR/SP and then increase the cognitive ability .

Objective To explore the influence factors of hidden blood loss during the treatment of femoral intertrochanteric fractures with percutaneous compression plate( PCCP) in elder patient. Methods The data of 136 patients with intertrochanteric fracture in our hos-pital from March 2009 to March 2012 treated with percutaneous compression plate were retrospectively analyzed,the effect of age,fracture type,preoperative aspirin,internal diseases on perioperative hidden blood loss, and different haemoglobin ( HGB) levels in patients with dif-ferent distribution were analyzed. Results The mean hidden blood loss volume was 499 mL,which accounted for 92. 54% of the total blood loss. The mean HGB decline was 11 g/L. The rate of on admisson haemoglobin level lower than 80 g/L was 6. 62% in AO type A2. 3 and A3 groups,and the rate of postoperative haemoglobin level lower than 80 g/L was 14. 70%. The average hidden blood loss for AO type A2. 3 (862 mL) and A3 (698 mL) were higher than those for AO types A1 (430 mL),A2. 1 (450 mL) and A2. 2 (415 mL) (P<0. 05). Multi-variate linear regression analysis showed that comminuted fracture and preoperative aspirin treatment were independently associated with in-creased perioperative hidden blood loss. Conclusion It indicated that the overt blood loss was fewer for PCCP operation. Intertrochanteric fracture was the main reason for substantial perioperative hidden blood loss. Types A2. 3 and A3 intertrochanteric fracture were early predic-tive factors of postoperative haemoglobin level lower than 80 g/L in elderly patients.
