BACKGROUND:. Growth factor starts a new epoch of the research and application of wound healing, and the effect of the combination of Chinese tradition medicine and biomedicine in wound healing is still in the discussion.OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect in promoting wound healing of rats with bletilla colloid, a Chinese herbal medicine, as a carrier of exogenous high molecular weight nerve growth factor (HMW-NGF).DESIGN: The single sample observation was adopted in the identification of activities of HMW-NGF; The randomized control experiment with animal as subjects was adopted in the observation of the effect of the HMW-NGF mixed with the bletilla colloid as a carrier in promoting wound healing.SETTING: Department of Orthopaedics, Shenzhen Buji People's Hospital,and Department of Orthopaedics, Tongji Hospital Affiliated to Huazhong University of Science and Technology.MATERIALS: Forty SD rats aged 90-120 days of either gender were employed, with the body mass of 220-280 g; The freeze dried preparation of cattle seminal fluid with HMW-NGF with 1mg each.METHODS: From September 2001 to December 2004, the experiment was carried out in the Department of Orthopaedics in Shenzhen Buji People's Hospital and Central Laboratory of Department of Orthopaedics in Tongji Hospital Affiliated to Huazhong University of Science and Technolcolloid, HMW-NGF, HMW-NGF+ bletilla colloid were added into the serum-free medium (SFM), and the influences of them on the dorsal root lected and divided into 4 groups with 10 rats in each group. The rats of normal control group had no medicine on the wound. In the bletilla colloid group, the HMW-NGF group and the HMW-NGF+bletilla colloid group, incision size 2 cm was made at the back of each rat, and bletilla colloid,HMW-NGF, HMW-NGF+ bletilla colloid were applied respectively on the wound, once per day. The wound area was measured at day 3 and 10 after treatment, and the wound area was calculated by the image analysator. The category and the quantity of the emigrated cells were observed with light microscope, and the healing time of the wound was observed.tion under light microscope.the DRG of chick embryo was cultured, the reaction of evection growth around the ganglion in the HMW-NGF, HMW-NGF+ bletilla colloid with the dilution desity of 1:106-1: 108 was most significant, which was not seen in healing with HMW-NGF + bletilla colloid was significantly increased as compared with that in normal control group, the bletilla colloid group and the The healing time of the wound of the normal control group, the bletilla colloid group and the HMW-NGF group and the HMW-NGF+ bletilla colloid group were (19.5±0.7), (17.3±0.6), ( 16.6±0.7 )and ( 14.9±0.4 ) days respecvation of cut sheets 3 days after treatment: The quantity of polymorphonuclear leucocytes, histoleueocyteand fibroblast in the bletilla colloid group,the HMW-NGF group and the HMW-NGF+ bletilla colloid group were significantly larger than that in the normal control group, and the micrangium could be seen in the HMW-NGF group and the HMW-NGF+ bletilla colloid group. The observation of cut sheets 10 days after treatment: The granulation tissue in the HMW-NGF group and the HMW-NGF+ bletilla colloid group was compacter and had more micrangium as compared with the normal control group and the bletilla colloid group.CONCLUSION: HMW-NGF+ bletilla colloid has significant effect on promoting the healing of the wound at the earlier and later period, and the effect is better than that of bletilla colloid or HMW-NGF.

Objective To evaluate the relationship between intraocular pressure (IOP) and anterior chamber angle in patients with different types of acute angle-closure glaucoma after phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation. Design Retrospective case series. Participants 173 cases of acute angle-closure glaucoma coexisting cataract (173 eyes) in Mingren Eye Hospital from January, 2005 to June, 2007. Methods All patients with acute angle-closure glaucoma underwent phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation, and were examined with high-frequency ultrasound biomicroscopy (UBM). Anterior chamber depth (ACD), intraocular pressure (IOP) and anterior chamber angle (ACA) were measured. Follow-up was 1-48 weeks after surgery. Main Outcome Measures Intraocular pressure, phacoemulsification complications, re-open rate of anterior chamber angle. Results At 8th week after surgery, the rate of IOP control in pupillary block group, non-pupillary blocking group, and multimechanism group was 88.9%, 52.0%, 83.4%, respectively and there was a statistically significant between these groups (?2=7.13, P=0.022). At 48th week, the rate of IOP control was 54.2%, 33.3%, 35.8%, respectively(?2=12.56, P=0.003). Fifty patients were follow up with UBM, and 66.7% in pupillary block group, 33.3% in non-pupillary blocking group and 33.3% in multimechanism group in 48 weeks postoperatively showed evidence of the widened anterior chamber angle. No specific postoperative complications were found in this study compared with those with phacoemulsification without glaucoma. Conclusions The use of phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation for acute angle-closure glaucoma coexsiting cataract can get best IOP-controlled rates in pupillary block group. It is related to the degree of widened anterior chamber angle.

Objective To determine the effect of community family visit on patients with metabolic syndrome.Methods According to the diagnostic criteria set up by the Diabetes Society of the Chinese Medical Association 220 patients with metabolic syndrome were equally divided into two groups:family visit group and control group.The family visit group was followed up by full-time medical staff regularly,while not interfering with the control group.After one year before and after the intervention,the relevant indicators were compared between the two groups.Results The levels of SBP,DBP,TG,TC,LDL-ch,24-hour urine protein were lowered markedly by intervention (P＜0.05).HDL-ch increased compared to the previous (t= 7.921,P＜0.05),but body mass index were not significantly changed.Before and after the intervention the levels of SBP,DBP,TG were ideal This was followed by significant improvement of fasting plasma glucose (FPG),two hours after meal blood glucose (2 hPG),TC,HDL set standards,24-hour urine protein body mass index.Compared with the control group,the family visit group showed siguificant improvement of related indicators except body mass index and TC.Condusion Intervention by family visit is effective in improving the vales of metabolic syndrome.

Aim To investigate the potential role of desipramine(DP) on lipoplysaccharide（LPS）-induced acute lung injury(ALI)and the mechanism of its action.Methods Kunming mice were divided into four groups randomly:NS group(NS),DP control group(DP),LPS group(LPS)and DP treatment group(DP+LPS).The model of ALI in mice was induced by lipoplysaccharidel(LPS,10 mg·kg~(-1),ip).Six hours after LPS challenged,the lung samples were taken for determination of lung wet-to-dry weight ratio(W/D),myeloperoxidase(MPO)activity,and malondialdehyde(MDA)content.The bronchoalveolar lavage fluid(BALF)samples were analyzed for total protein concentrateion and white blood cell(WBC)count.The levels of tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)in lung were measured by ELISA.Results LPS could significantly increase the total protein concentration and WBC number in BALF.The lung W/D ration,MPO activity,MDA content and the levels of TNF-α in lungs all increased after ip injection of LPS.Pretreatment with DP decreased all the changes induced by the LPS.Conclusion Pretreatment with DP protects lung from LPS-induced lung injury in mice,which is,at least in part,through inhibiting the level of TNF-α and decreasing the sequestration of neutrophils and lipid peroxidation.

Objective To further understand the diagnosis,clinical features and prognosis of myeloid neoplasms with erythroblast more than 50％ of bone marrow(BM) nucleated cells in the WHO Classification(2016) by analyzing the clinical data,diagnosis and prognosis of 3 patients with myeloid leukemia.Methods The ages,medical histories,symptoms and signs,and laboratory examinations from 3 patients with myeloid neoplasms whose erythroblast cells were more than 50％ of BM nucleated cells when newly diagnosed were collected.Then,they were diagnosed with the WHO Classification criteria(2008) and the WHO Classification criteria(2016),respectively,and their prognosis was evaluated with the revised International Prognostic Scoring System(IPSS-R).Results According to the WHO Classification criteria(2008),all of 3 patients were diagnosed as acute erythroid leukemia(AEL).However,according to the WHO Classification criteria(2016),2 patients were diagnosed as myelodysplastic syndrome with excess blasts-2(MDS-EB-2),and 1 was diagnosed as acute myeloid leukemia(AML) with maturation.Moreover,their prognostic scores were also different.The former two patients were older men with significant dysplasia and complex genetic abnormalities,and had poor prognosis,while the latter was a middle-aged woman with no obvious dysplasia and genetic abnormalities,and had medium prognosis.Conclusion The WHO Classification(2016) is more reasonable than the WHO Classification(2008),which tends to focus more on the different biological characteristics of diseases,and may better distinguish two types of diseases with different clinical features and prognosis.

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of bletilla striata gelantin (BSG) loaded exogenous high molecular weight (HMW) nerve growth factor (NGF) in the promotion of deep pressure sore healing. Methods The patients with deep pressure sore were randomly divided into four group: group A, as the control group, used iodophor-soaked sterile gauze for continuous wet compressing; group B, group C and group D, as the experiment group, received external application of BSG, HMW-NGF and HMW-NGF+BSG 3 times per day. The observation indicators included the pressure sore healing velocity, healing time, general reactions and local skin inflammatory reactions during medication on day 3, 7, 14, 21 and 30 of medication. Results BSG, HMW-NGF and HMW-NGF+BSG could all promote the wound healing of pressure sore and HMW-NGF+BSG has the most remarkable effect (healing days: A∶B∶C∶D=20.16 ± 4.58∶15.43±1.72∶15.80±1.48∶11.86±1.35d). Conclusion HMW-NGF+BSG can obviously accelerate the wound healing of pressure sore.

Objective:to apply Fuzhengkangai AIDS particles combined therapy with effective antiretroviral therapy (HAART) at the beginning of the HIV/AIDS (human immunodeficiency virus/acquired immunodeficiency syndrome) patients,observe its clinical curative effect and improve the related adverse reactions.Methods:a multicenter,randomized,double-blind,placebo-controlled clinical research method,divided into experimental group and the control group (n =57),experimental group to "Fuzhengkangai particles" joint efficient antiretroviral therapy (HAART) antiviral treatment,control group to "Fuzhengkangai particles" placebo (5％ low dose) joint efficient antiretroviral therapy (HAART) antiviral treatment,treatment for 3 months.Two groups of patients with simultaneous liver and kidney function,blood routine,CD4 + T lymphocyte count,the observation of TCM symptoms and signs,survival quality of integral.Results:after 12 weeks of treatment,the control group and experimental group,the experimental group significantly elevated levels of peripheral blood RBC,lower levels of CR,reduce the signs and symptoms (total score,fatigue,stay,and spontaneous perspiration)integral,higher levels of CD4 + T lymphocyte count and survival quality score,the difference had statistical significance (p ＜ 0.05).Conclusion:Fuzhengkangai particles joint efficient antiretroviral therapy (HAART) antiviral treatment,can improve HAART after initial treatment of the patient's clinical symptoms,blood toxicity,the quality of survival,reduce the antiviral treatment of adverse reactions,combination drug alone can significantly increase the CD4 + T lymphocytes,so as to improve clinical curative effect.

The WRKYs are a group of plant-specific transcription factors that play important roles in defense responses. In this study, we silenced 2 GmWRKY33B homologous genes using a bean pod mosaic virus (BPMV) vector carrying a single fragment from the conserved region of the GmWRKY33B genes. Silencing GmWRKY33B did not result in morphological changes. However, significantly reduced resistances to Pseudomonas syringae pv. glycinea (Psg) and soybean mosaic virus (SMV) were observed in the GmWRKY33B-silenced plants, indicating a positive role of the GmWRKY33B genes in disease resistance. Kinase assay showed that silencing the GmWRKY33B genes significantly reduced the activation of GmMPK6, but not GmMPK3, in response to flg22 treatment. Reverse transcriptase PCR (RT-PCR) analysis of the genes encoding prenyltransferases (PTs), which are the key enzymes in the biosynthesis of glyceollin, showed that the Psg-induced expression of these genes was significantly reduced in the GmWRKY33B-silenced plants compared with the BPMV-0 empty vector plants, which correlated with the presence of the W-boxes in the promoter regions of these genes. Taken together, our results suggest that GmWRKY33Bs are involved in soybean immunity through regulating the activation of the kinase activity of GmMPK6 as well as through regulating the expression of the key genes encoding the biosynthesis of glyceollins.

Objective:To investigate the distribution and antimicrobial resistance profile of clinical bacteria isolated from blood culture in China.Methods:The clinical bacterial strains isolated from blood culture from member hospitals of Blood Bacterial Resistant Investigation Collaborative System (BRICS) were collected during January 2018 to December 2019. Antibiotic susceptibility tests were conducted with agar dilution or broth dilution methods recommended by US Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI). WHONET 5.6 was used to analyze data.Results:During the study period, 14 778 bacterial strains were collected from 50 hospitals, of which 4 117 (27.9%) were Gram-positive bacteria and 10 661(72.1%) were Gram-negative bacteria. The top 10 bacterial species were Escherichia coli (37.2%), Klebsiella pneumoniae (17.0%), Staphylococcus aureus (9.7%), coagulase-negative Staphylococci (8.7%), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (3.7%), Enterococcus faecium (3.4%), Acinetobacter baumannii(3.4%), Enterobacter cloacae (2.9%), Streptococci(2.8%) and Enterococcus faecalis (2.3%). The the prevalence of methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA) and methicillin-resistant coagulase-negative Staphylococcus were 27.4% (394/1 438) and 70.4% (905/1 285), respectively. No glycopeptide-resistant Staphylococcus was detected. More than 95% of S. aureus were sensitive to amikacin, rifampicin and SMZco. The resistance rate of E. faecium to vancomycin was 0.4% (2/504), and no vancomycin-resistant E. faecalis was detected. The ESBLs-producing rates in no carbapenem-resistance E. coli, carbapenem sensitive K. pneumoniae and Proteus were 50.4% (2 731/5 415), 24.6% (493/2001) and 35.2% (31/88), respectively. The prevalence of carbapenem-resistance in E. coli and K. pneumoniae were 1.5% (85/5 500), 20.6% (518/2 519), respectively. 8.3% (27/325) of carbapenem-resistance K. pneumoniae was resistant to ceftazidime/avibactam combination. The resistance rates of A. baumannii to polymyxin and tigecycline were 2.8% (14/501) and 3.4% (17/501) respectively, and that of P. aeruginosa to carbapenem were 18.9% (103/546). Conclusions:The surveillance results from 2018 to 2019 showed that the main pathogens of bloodstream infection in China were gram-negative bacteria, while E. coli was the most common pathogen, and ESBLs-producing strains were in majority; the MRSA incidence is getting lower in China; carbapenem-resistant E. coli keeps at a low level, while carbapenem-resistant K. pneumoniae is on the rise obviously.

Objective To analyze the distribution and antimicrobial resistance profile of clinical bacterial strains isolated from blood culture in China.Methods Clinical bacterial strains isolated from blood culture from participating hospitals of Blood Bacterial Resistance Investigation Collaborative System (BRICS) during January 2014 to December 2015 were collected.Antibiotic susceptibility tests were conducted with agar dilution or broth dilution methods as recommended by US Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute(CLSI)2018.The data were analyzed with Whonet 5.6 software.Results During the study period,4 801 clinical bacterial isolates were collected from 26 hospitals,of which 1 798 (37.5％) were Gram-positive bacteria and 3 003 (62.5％) were gram-negative bacteria.The top 10 isolates were Escherichia coli (33.8％),coagulase-negative Staphylococcus (19.0％),Klebsiella pneumoniae (11.9％),Staphylococcus aureus (10.1％),Acinetobacter baumannii (4.0％),Pseudomonas aeruginosa (3.8％),Streptococcus (3.0％),Enterobacter sulcus (2.9％),Enterococcus faecium (2.8％) and Enterococcus faecalis (1.8％).Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and methicillinresistant coagulase-negative Staphylococcus (MRCNS) accounted for 33.9％ (165/487) and 56.9％ (520/913) of Staphylococcus aureus and coagulase-negative Staphylococcus respectively.No vancomycinresistant Staphylococcus was detected.The resistance rate of Enterococcus faecium to vancomycin was 0.7％ (1/135),and no vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus faecaliss was detected.The positive rates of extendedspectrum β-1actamases(ESBLs)-producing Escherichia coli,Klebsiella pneumoniae and Proteus were 56.9％ (923/1 621),30.1％ (172/572) and 29.2％ (7/24),respectively.The positive rates of carbapenemresistant Escherichia coli,Klebsiella pneumoniae,Enterobacter,Salmonella and Citrobacter were 1.2％ (20/1 621),7.2％ (41/572),4.3％ (6/141),1.5％ (1/67) and 2.9％ (1/34),respectively.The resistance rates of Acinetobacter baumannii to polymyxin and tegacycline were 2.6％ (5/190) and 8.9％ (17/190)respectively,and that of Pseudomonas aeruginosa to polymyxin and fosfomycin were 1.1％ (2/183)and 0.6％ (1/183),respectively.Conclusions The surveillance results from 2014 to 2015 show that the main pathogens of blood stream infection in China are Gram-negative bacteria,while Escherichia coli is the most common pathogen,the detection rate of MRSA is lower than other surveillance data in the same period in China;carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae and Escherichia coli are at a low level as shown in this surveillance.
