Journal of Environment and Health 1992;0(02):-
Objective To study the effects of industrial wastewater containing chromium from Anyang Bicycle Works (ABW) on the mutagenicity of ground water and drinking water. Methods The ground water samples were collected from wells located on the southwest of the pollution source of ABW, near the gate of ABW(A) and at a distance of 60 m from the east of ABW(B) respectively, and also from the following sampling points closely located along the lower reach of sewage ditch: cigarette work(C), iron alloy works(D), match works(E), chemical and chemical fiber works(F). The raw water and finished water samples were collected from water plant. The contents of chromium(Cr6+) in water samples were measured and the mutagenicity of the water samples were tested by Vicia faba root tips cell micronucleus test. Results The contents of Cr6+ in ground water samples showed a decreaseing trend (0.358 5-0.010 0 mg/L) with the increasing distances from the sampling points to the pollution source of ABW, the order of which was the following: A, B, C, D, E, F. The contents of Cr6+ in ground water samples collected from the gate of ABW and the location at a distance of 60 m from the east of ABW exceeded the related standard 6.17 and 2.08 times respectively. The contents of Cr6+ in raw water and finished water samples were 0.0123 and 0.0095mg/L respectively. All of the water samples except that from the chemical and chemical fiber works showed higher micronucleus rates in different degree compared with that of negative control. Statistically significant higher micronucleus rate was only observed in water sample from match works compared with that of negative control (P
3.CT features and misdiagnosis analysis of retroperitoneal fibrosis
Cancer Research and Clinic 2012;24(4):256-258
Objective To assess the value of CT in the diagnosis of PRF,and analyze the reason of misdiagnosis. Methods Retrospectively analyze the CT data of ten patients with retroperitoneal fibrosis, which were confirmed by the clinical pathology. All the patients underwent CT scan and enhanced scan. Two experienced physicians using the blind method to evaluate the location, boundary, density, invasion on the surrounding tissue and enhancement of retroperitoneal fibrosis lesions respectively. Results All patients with CT scan findings were retroperitoneal irregular-shaped soft tissue lesions, which was similar to muscle density.6 cases with surrounding the retroperitoneal vessel, 2 cases with expansion and hydrops of renal pelvis and ureter.By enhanced scan,9 cases with different degrees of enhancement,1 case without obvious enhancement.6 cases were misdiagnosed as retroperitoneal schwannoma or lymphoma. Conclusion CT can show the characteristics of retroperitoneal fibrosis. Comprehensively analyze various imaging findings is helpful for the diagnosis of retroperitoneal fibrosis. Misdiagnosis reason is mainly due to retroperitoneal fibrosis is a rare disease, and understanding of this disease in imaging findings is insufficient in the daily work.

Journal of Central South University(Medical Sciences) 2017;42(8):947-952
Objective:To investigate relationships between serum chemerin and bone mineral density (BMD) in patients with newly diagnosed Graves disease (GD).Methods:A total of 120 newly diagnosed GD patients with a course more than 3 months were enrolled from the Department of Endocrinology between June 2013 and June 2015.Sixty age-and sex-matched healthy people served as a normal control.Serum levels of chemerin,β-crosslaps (β-CTX),and N-MID-osteocalcin (N-MID-OT) were measured by ELISA.Fat mass and BMD were evaluated by dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA).Results:Compared with the normal control, the fat mass, lean weight, fat mass index (FMI) and body mass index (BMI) in the GD group were decreased, and BMD in all skeletal sites was decreased. There was a positive correlation between them (all P<0.05).Serum level of chemerin was increased and it was positively correlated with β-CTX or N-MID-OT level and negatively correlated with fat mass,FMI or BMI in the GD group. There was a negative correlation between chemerin level and BMD in femoral neck, total hip, lumbar or right forearm distal 1/3 (rs=-0.352,-0.279,-0.379,-0.289,-0.394;P<0.05).After adjusting for age,fat mass or BMI,the correlation of chemerin with total hip or bone mineral density remained significant (rs=-0.273,-0.378;P<0.05).Multiple linear regression analysis revealed that chemerin or BMI was correlated with BMD (P<0.05).Conclusion:The decrease of bone mineral density in patients with GD is not only related to the direct or indirect effect of excessive thyroid hormones on systemic and osteoblastic cells, but it is also related to the negative regulation of bone metabolism due to the elevated chemerin level.

Chinese Mental Health Journal 1989;0(03):-
Objectives: To study the executive function (EF) profiles in children with ADHD. Methods: 1.We used some neuropsychological tests, including Stroop test, visual and auditory Go/No-Go tasks, digits reciting inverse, delayed spacial position memory span test, tower of London (TOL), tail making test (TMT),to evaluate the capacity of response inhibition, phonological working memory, visual-spacial working memory, planning and set-shifting of subjects. Results: 1.The ADHD children spent more time to accomplish color naming when the word color was inconsistent with the word meaning than normal control (NC) in Stroop test(p﹤0.05). 2.The ADHD children made more errors than NC in both visual and auditory Go/No-Go test(p﹤0.01). 3.The scores of digits reciting inverse was lower in ADHD than NC(p﹤0.01). 4.The representation of ADHD was poorer than NC in delayed spacial position memory span test(p﹤0.01). 5. In TOL test, the ADHD children spent more time in all of two-move, four-move and five-move tasks than NC, and broke rules more frequently than NC(p﹤0.05). 6.In TMT, the ADHD children spent more time and made more errors on part B than NC(p﹤0.05), and there was no significant difference on part A (p﹥0.05). Conclusions: The obvious impaired executive functions are found in children with ADHD, involving poor response inhibition, impaired working memory, dysfunction of planning and set-shifting.

Aim To establish a reliable method for the culture of mouse smooth muscle progenitor cells and in-vestigate their migration ability .Methods Mesenchy-mal stem cells from compact bones were obtained from C57 BL/6 mice and stimulated with PDGF-BB to in-duce these cells to differentiate into smooth muscle pro-genitor cells. Morphological analysis , immunocyto-chemical and flow cytometric analysis were used to i-dentify the cell type and the migration ability was in-vestigated by the transwell system and flow cytometry . Result After PDGF-BB stimulation for 7 days, the cells showed spindle shape and started to express α-SMA as demonstrated by immunocytochemistry .After 21 days induction , Flow cytometric analysis revealed that over 70%of the cells expressed both CD 34 andα-SMA and 58.5%of the cells expressed SM-MHC.Mi-gration assay showed that the smooth muscle progenitor cells from culture could migrate in vivo and in vitro. Conclusions The culture of smooth muscle progenitor cells from compact bone-derived mesenchymal stem cells is easily operated with high yield rate and shorten culture period . Obtained smooth muscle progenitor cells from culture could migrate in vivo and in vitro, which is suitable for the mechanism studies .
