Objective To investigate the expressing changes of nitric oxide synthase(NOS) in substantia nigra and striatum of the hemiparkinsonism monkey model. Methods Three hemiparkinsonian rhesus monkey models were induced by injecting 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine(MPTP) unilaterally into the internal carotid artery. The expressing changes of NOS-positive neurons of substantia nigra and striatum in three hemiparkinsonism monkey models and one normal control monkey were observed by using NADPH-diaphorase histochemistry staining method. Results The NOS-positive neurons were increased significantly in the substantia nigra and striatum of MPTP lesioned side of hemiparkinsonian monkey model compared to contralateral side and normal control monkey(all P

Chinese Journal of Blood Transfusion 2008;0(08):-
Objective To study the effect of blood transfusion on earthquake injuries with crush syndrome in WenChuan earthquake. Methods The amount of red blood cell suspension given to the earthquake victims were studied. The transfusion effect, Hb concentrations, and capillary hemorrhage of tissues of the injuries were also observed. Results Two victims, who underwent amputation surgery and cerebral hemorrhage operation, received a relatively small amount of transfusion, and showed a good transfusion effect and prognosis. While the other 6 victims, who underwent amputation surgery, surgical debridement, or continuous renal replacement therapy, received a large amount of blood, and showed a bad transfusion effect and prognosis. Conclusion The amount of blood transfusion in patients with crush syndrome was correlated negatively with the outcome.

Objective To investigate the clinical values of NT-proBNP in left ventricular enlargement(LVE) and left ventricular dysfunction(LVD) of the patients with essential hypertension(EH) to provide a diagnostic basis for their diagnosis .Methods Plas-ma NT-proBNP concentrations in 120 patients with EH and in 29 normal controls were measured ,then the echocardiography exami-nation was performed to determine the left ventricular ejection fraction ( LVEF) ,left ventricular end-diastolic diameter(LVEDD) , left atrium(LA) and left ventricular systolic diameter(LVSDD) .The correlation between plasma NT-proBNP with LVE and LVD was analyzed .The diagnostic accuracy of NT-proBNP was analyzed by using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve .Results There were no statistically significant differences in the aspects of age ,sex and serum creatinine between the EH group and con-trol group ,but plasma NT-proBNP level of the former was significantly higher than that of the latter .The NT-proBNP level in the patients with LVE was significantly higher than that in the patients with normal left ventricle (P<0 .05) .The NT-proBNP level in the LVD patients was significantly higher than that in the patients with normal left ventricular function (P<0 .05) .The plasma NT-p roBNP level was positively correlated with LA ,LVEDD and LVSDD(r=0 .518 ,0 .58 ,0 .48 ,P<0 .01) while negatively crrelated with LVEF(r= -0 .61 ,P<0 .01) .The ROC curve showed that when the NT-proBNP was set at 380 pg/mL ,the sensitivity and specificity of NT-proBNP for diagnosing LVE were 80 .6% and 72 .4% ;which for diagnosing LVD were 80 .8% and 77 .4% ,re-spectively .Conclusion NT-proBNP is closely correlated with multiple ultrasonic indicators reflecting the left ventricular function and its level can reliably reflect the left ventricular contraction function ,which can serve as the marker for screening LVE and LVD in the patients with EH .

Objective To explore the finger closed artery damage crisis the diagnosis and the treatment. Methods The clinical manifestation and the method of treatment of 30 examples 36 figure of closed arteries were summarized. Results 26 examples 30 figure of surgeries treatments wound showed the blood circulation good function restoration. After 4 examples 6 figure gave up surgeries treat, the wound showed the partial necroses and were operated amputation. Conclusion The finger closed artery damage crisis should remove the factor of inducing the vasospasm. The surgery treatment should be immediately done if the symptom of ischernia doesn't improve. The pathological changes blood vessel excision tallies or the venula transplant is the first-chosen method of treatment.

Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 1994;0(06):-
Objective To set up a methodology for quick finding of important leading compounds from complex plant samples. Methods A mixture fraction was determined by 1H-NMR techniques to find any evidence, further isolation of the fraction guided with this evidence was carried out. Results Based on the botanical metabonomic concept, a novel valuable sesquiterpene compound has been quickly isolated from the aerial part of Carpesium lipskyi. Conclusion The efficiency for finding of leading compounds could be improved if the isolation is based on metabonomics under the guidence of the new method of botanical mixture determination by 1H-NMR.

Objective To propose an automatic framework for segmentation of brain image in this paper. Methods The brain MRI image segmentation framework consists of three-step segmentation procedures. First, Non-brain structures removal by level set method. Then, the non-uniformity correction method is based on computing estimates of tissue intensity variation. Finally, it uses a statistical model based on Markov random filed for MRI brain image segmentation. The brain tissue can be classified into cerebrospinal fluid, white matter and gray matter. Results To evaluate the proposed our method, we performed two sets of experiments, one on simulated MR and another on real MR brain data. Conclusion The efficacy of the brain MRI image segmentation framework has been demonstrated by the extensive experiments. In the future, we are also planning on a large-scale clinical evaluation of this segmentation framework.

Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis 2005;17(1):29-32,56
Objective To present a novel modified level set algorithm for medical image segmentation. Methods The algorithm is developed by substituting the speed function of level set algorithm with the region and gradient information of the image instead of the conventional gradient information. This new algorithm has been tested by a series of different modality medical images. Results We present various examples and also evaluate and compare the performance of our method with the classical level set method on weak boundaries and noisy images. Conclusion Experimental results show the proposed algorithm is effective and robust.

OBJECTIVE To explore the resistance of Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolated in clinic against five antiseptics involving in povidone iodine(Iodophor),glutaraldehyde, chlorhexidine, symclosene(trichloroisocyanurate) and benzalkonium bromide.METHODS The susceptibility test of P.aeruginosa was determined by PhoenixTM-100 system.Minimun inhibitory concentration(MIC) of povidone iodine, glutaraldehyde, chlorhexidine, symclosene and benzalkonium bromide was detected by liquid dilution method.RESULTS The resistant rates of ampicillin/sulbactam,chloramphenicol,tetracycline and trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole in 190 isolates of P.aeruginosa were all more than 98.0%.However,P.aeruginosa was to imipenem and meropenem were 15.3% and 6.8%.It was found that P.aeruginosa possessed the most resistant to glutaraldehyde and symclosene with its MIC50 being 32 ?g/ml and 64 ?g/ml.But the MIC50 of chlorhexidine and benzalkonium bromide were only 1 ?g/ml and 2.4 ?g/ml.Meanwhile,time-kill assays indicated that chlorhexidine could still produce rapid and powerful bactericidal effects at a concentration of 1MIC after 10 min treatment.CONCLUSIONS There are distinct differences in P.aeruginosa against povidone iodine, glutaraldehyde, chlorhexidine, symclosene and benzalkonium bromide. It is very important that antiseptics should be used rationally.Measurements should be taken to decrease dissemination of resistant bacteria and prevent nosocomial infection.
