Objective To investigate the resistance of multi-drug resistant Acinetobacter baumannii against aminoglycosides and its resistance genes. Methods The minimal inhibitory concentrations (MICs) of seven antimicrobials (gentamicin, amikacin, tobramycine, netilmicin, neomycin, streptomycin and kanamycin) against 20 strains of multi-drug resistant Acinetobacter baumannii were detected by agar dilution method. Meanwhile, two resistance genes of aminoglycoside nucleotidyltransferase were amplified by PCR and vertified by DNA sequencer. Results It was found that MIC50 and MIC90 of gentamicin, amikacin, streptomycin and kanamycin in 20 strains of Acinetobacter baumannii were all above 1 024 mg/L, and their resistant rates were 95%, 95%, 100% and 90% respectively, while the resistant rates of tobramycin, netilmicin and neomycin were 85%, 90% and 40% respectively. Two aminoglycoside-modification genes ant(2″)-Ⅰ and ant(3″)-Ⅰ were detected in 20 strains, with 55% and 80% of positive rate respectively. The double positive rate of two resistance genes was 50%.Conclusion The resistance of multi-drug resistant Acinetobacter baumannii against aminoglycosides was closely associated with ant(2″)-Ⅰ and ant(3″)-Ⅰ genes.

Chinese Journal of Radiology 2001;0(09):-
Objective To study the radiographic features of pulmonary sclerosing hemangioma (PSH), and to correlate the imaging with the pathologic findings so as to improve the imaging diagnostic abilities. Methods The clinical features of 45 patients with pathology proved PSH between 1976 and 2002 were reviewed. Of the 45 patients, there were 3 men and 42 women, their age ranged from 18 to 67 years (median age, 49 years), and 19 patients were asymptomatic. 20 patients had chest radiography and CT scans. The radiographic findings were studied retrospectively and were correlated with that of pathology. (7 patients) underwent unenhanced CT and 13 patients had enhanced CT. Results Of the 20 patients who had chest X-ray, 18 patients presented as a solitary, round or oval shaped lesion with well-defined margin. On CT scans, the greatest dimension of the lesion ranged from 1.9 cm to 7.0 cm. A homogeneous soft-tissue attenuation was revealed on unenhanced scans. Homogeneous enhancement was detected in 9 patients and heterogeneous enhancement in 4 patients on enhanced CT. Cystic change was found in 1 patient showing lower attenuation than the enhanced solid tumor, and calcification was found in 5 patients. Correlation of radiographic and pathologic findings indicated that higher attenuation areas corresponded to the angiomatous areas. Conclusions PSH should be considered with the following features: (1) female patients between (40-60) years of age; (2) well-defined round or oval shaped lesion on chest radiography; (3) a homogeneous soft-tissue mass on unenhanced CT; cystic-like area within the tumor and/or calcification can occasionally be found; (4) homogeneous or heterogeneous enhancement after contrast administration.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2016;33(1):132-135
The present study was to examine the effect of stellate ganglion block (SGB) on bilateral regional cerebral oxygen saturation (rSO2) and postoperative cognitive function. Eighty patients undergoing selective coronary artery bypass graft with cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) were randomly and equally divided into two groups. The patients in group S were given right SGB with ropivacaine, while the patients in group C were injected with normal saline. We compared the bilateral rSO2 after SGB. Minimum Mental State Examination (MMSE), Visual Verbal Learning Test (VVLT), and Digital Span Test (DST) were applied to observe the effect on cognitive function. We found that the incidence of postoperative cognitive dysfunction (POCD) 7 days after surgery in group S was lower than that in group C. The level of blocked side rSO₂ of S group were significantly higher before CPB time of rewarming than that before SGB (P < 0.05), much higher than corresponding non-blocked side rSO₂ before CPB (P < 0.05), and much higher than rSO₂ level in group C before CPB and after CPB (P < 0.05). The non-blocked side rSO₂ in group S before anesthesia were much lower than basic levels and those in group C (P < 0.05). It could be concluded from the above results that there was significant increase in the blocked-side rSO₂ compared to the non-blocked side and there was significant decrease in the incidence of POCD compared to the control group after SGB.

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2016;20(39):5834-5839
BACKGROUND:In rabbit femur fracture model experiment, there are a few studies on whether quadriceps tendon wil affect the stability of the fixed device. OBJECTIVE:To analyze the effects of quadriceps tendon to the stability of external fixator in rabbit models of femur fracture. METHODS:The 48 New Zealand white rabbits were randomly divided into two groups. External fixator was used to make fracture model. In the experiment group, quadriceps tendon was cut. In the control group, quadriceps tendon was retained. 2 weeks later, X-ray examination was utilized to observe the number of failed external fixator in both groups from modeling to success. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:(1) X-ray examination:2 weeks after model establishment, external fixation frame screw was free from femur in one rabbit of the experiment group, and seven rabbits in the control group. Of them, one screw was broken. Threaded portion retained in the femur. (2) External fixation failure rate:failed external fixator was found in one rabbit in the experiment group, resulting in a failure rate of 4%, and 12 rabbits in the control group, resulting in a failure rate of 50%(P<0.05). These findings suggested that cutting off the rabbit quadriceps tendon can effectively ensure the stability of the external fixator, and indirectly improve success rate of the experiment.
