Objective To study antioxidant activity of extract of Cassia obtusifolia. Method The free radical-scavenging effect of the extract was evaluated in the flavins system; erythrocyte membrane was exposed to three radicals generation systems, the inhibition of the extract on lipid peroxidation was determined. Results The extract showed strong scavenging effect on superoxide radical and dose- dependently inhibited the increases of lipid peroxidation content in the membrane exposed to xanthine-xanthine oxidase system, H2O2 or UV light. Conclusion Antioxidant activity of the extract was obvious.

Objective To explore the influence of percutaneous gastrostomy-jejunostomy ( PEG-J) on the nutritional status and prognosis of critically ill patients in ICU .Methods Totally 58 patients who received me-chanical ventilation in the ICU of Changshu No .1 People's Hospital from January 2013 to December 2015 were di-vided into two groups according to random number table:treatment group ( n=28, enteral nutrition by establis-hing PEG-J tube in 120 hours after excluding contraindications );and control group ( n=30, nasogastric tube as the way of giving enteral nutrition and if delayed gastric emptying happened , nasogastric tube would be replaced by nasointestinal tube). The incidence of ventilation-associated pneumonia (VAP) within 28 days, duration of ICU stay, and duration of mechanical ventilation were compared between these two groups .Results The inci-dence of 28-day VAP (7.14%vs.26.67%, P=0.049), duration of ICU stay [ (13.6 ±5.9) d vs.(16.8 ± 4.4) d, P=0.024], duration of mechanical ventilation [ (8.1 ±5.0) d vs.(10.7 ±4.5) d, P=0.041] were significantly lower or shorter in treatment group than in control group .Conclusions The use of PEG-J tube for enteral nutrition in critically ill patients is reliable and safe .It also helps to reduce VAP .

Parenteral & Enteral Nutrition 1997;0(04):-
Objective: To review the clinical effect of early enteral nutrition in patients with carcinoma of esophagus after operation. Methods: Nutrient canal was indwelt through Fresubin(TP) was given through the nasal-intestinal tube in 120 cases with carcinoma of esophagus after operation. Results: The complications such as anastomotic leakage, lung infection and incisional infection in the patients receiving early enteral nutrition were much less than those in control group. No death occurred. The time for bowel function recovery was much shorter. Conclusion: Early enteral nutrition can promote the recovery of gastrointestinal function, improve the nutrition, decrease the occurrence of complications and raise the successful rate of operation in operative patients with esophagus carcinoma.

Chinese Journal of Hospital Administration 2021;37(1):47-51
Objective:To provide references for encouraging translation of medical and pharmaceutical research outcomes from a policy perspective. Methods:In view of characteristics of such translation and using policy tools, the authors introduced the innovation value chain and innovation entity chain to create a three-dimensional analysis framework. The three dimensions refer to policy tools(supply side, environment side and demand side), innovation value chain(research and development, clinical research and pilot application, and commercial industrialization), and innovation entity chain(colleges, medial institutions, enterprises, government, and third parties). A three-dimensional framework was introduced for textual quantitative analysis, centering on 70 policy documents on such translation released from 2015 to 2019.Results:Excessiveness was found in the environment side and supply side policy tools usage, while the demand side was deficient relatively; clinical research and pilot applications constitute the policy support weakness in innovation value chain; policy frequency on medical institutions and third parties was weak in the innovation entity chain dimension. Conclusions:Based on the three-dimensional framework analysis results and sector specifics, the paper proposed such policy recommendations as highlighting features of medical and pharmaceutical sector, activating incentives of hospitals and colleges, and expanding resources for clinical research.

Objective To investigate the effect of radiofrequency ablation(RFA) in the treatment of small liver cancer. Methods In recent 6 years,130 patients with primary or secondary liver cancer(≤5cm in diameter)were treated by RFA,among which 86 cases were primary, and 44 cases were secondary liver cancer.Among the 130 cases,18 received RFA plus TAEC,and 20 had RFA combined with PEI.Results Overall 1-and 3-year survival rate was 91.3% and 77.7% respectively.Complications occurred in 7 cases, including biliary fistula, intestinal fistula, and slight burn of skin. There was no death in this series. Conclusions RFA is an effective and safe therapeutic approach for small liver cancer ≤5cm in diameter. Its effect may be similar to that of surgical resection.

Objective To reveal the research trends and hotspots of China's liver neoplasms literature from 2005 to 2010. Methods A bibliometric analysis was made based on the results of retrieving from the Chinese Medical Citation Index (CMCI). Results The number of China' s liver neoplasms literature increased regularly in the last 5 years. The fund articles accounted for 30% of total articles. This paper reports the highly cited articles, authors, institutions and journals. The top 5 provinces of publishing articles are Guangdong, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Shandong and Beijing. There are some major aspects of liver neoplasms research, such as treatment modalities, analysis of causes of disease, evaluation after radiation therapy, and experimental research. 3-dimensional conformal radiotherapy, radiofrequency ablation and chemoembolization have been becoming research hotspots. Conclusions The researches on liver neoplasms have been widely and deeply developing in China. A lot of research progresses were made. As the higher mortality of liver neoplasms, the research of comprehensive treatment is to be the further trend.

Objective To explore the expression of transient receptor potential channel 6(TRPC6)in human breast cancer cells, and to clarify the correlation of TRPC6 with the invasion potential of breast cancer cells. Methods The human breast cancer cell strains MCF-7 (hypo-invasion group)and MDA-MB-231 (hyper-invasion group)were cultured. The expressions of TRPC6 mRNA and protein in in two groups were detected by RT-PCR and Western blotting methods. Then the MDA-MB-231 cells were divided into control group and SKF96365 group, the effects of SKF96365 on the invasion ability of MDA-MB-231 cells invitro were explored by wound healing assay and Transwell experiment. Results The results of Western blotting and RT-PCR showed that the expression levels of TRPC6 mRNA and protein in MDA-MB-231 cells were higher than that in MCF-7 cells(P<0.05).The wound healing assay showed the numbers of migrating cells in 5,25 and 40μmol·L-1 SKF96365 groups (76.24±7.54, 45.33±4.50,25.12±1.57)were lower than those in control group (130.48±9.55)(P<0.05).The Transwell experiment results indicated that the invasiveness of MDA-MB-231 cells were inhibited significantly by SKF96365 compared with control group (P<0.05).Conclusion The invasion ability of human breast cancer MDA-MB-231 cells is promoted by upregulating the TRPC6 expression, which indicates that the TRPC6 may play role in the metastasis of human breast cancer.
