1.Relationship between the Token Test and Chinese aphasia with different types due to left hemispheric damages

In order to evaluate the effect of Token Test for comprehension ability of Chinese aphasia,33 aphasics with different types due to left hemispheric damages were conducted in this study of Token Test and Aphasia Battery in Chinese(ABC).The statistic analysis showed that the score of Token Test was significant correlated with the comprehension ability,word recognition and dictation of Chinese language,construction and visual-spatial function,praxia,calculation,attention and memory ability(P<0.01)and significant correlated with the severity of their aphasia(P<0.05).This study revealed that the score of Token Test was influenced by the type and the severity of Chinese aphasia especially the comprehension ability of speech and also influenced by attention,memory,praxia,visual-spatial function,cognition,etc.Token Test was a very sensitive test of measuring the comprehension ability for Chinese speech.
2.Hygienic Assessment of Barreled Drinking Water Quality

Objective To do a hygienic assessment for the preservation time of barreled drinking water. Methods 40 kinds of barreled drinking water samples, all passed the water quality test, were collected from the market in summer and autumn respectively. Each sample was put into a sterile bottle and then taken into the laboratory in 2 hours to detect the microorganism indicators in 0 day, 5 days, 10 days, 15 days and 20 days periodically. Results The qualified rate of microorganism indexes reached 100% in 10 days. As for total bacteria count, 97.5% exceeded the hygiene standard limit,the detected rate of fungi and yeast were 17.5% and 12.5% in 15 days, and 100% exceeded the standard limit,the detected rate of fungi and yeast were 30.0% and 22.5% in 20 days in summer. The qualified rate of microorganism indexes reached 100% in 20 days in autumn. Conclusion Barreled drinking water is safe for drinking in 10 days in summer and in 20 days in autumn.
3.The foot pressure distribution of a normal left and toes-out right foot gait

Objective To characterize the foot pressure distribution during walking of the male college students with a normal left foot and toes-out right foot gait.Methods Forty-two male college students age 20 to 25 with a toes-out gait on the right side and a normal gait on the left side were recruited.The FOOTSCAN system was used to measure their foot pressure distribution while walking.Results There were significant differences between the normal and the toes-out foot with regard to the peak pressure on the third metatarsal bone [(45.05 ±13.91)N/cm2 vs (26.83 ± 10.82) N/cm2] and pressure under the arch [(4.48 ± 1.94) N/cm2 vs (2.90 ±1.57) N/cm2],as well as the time for the appearance of peak pressure under the 1st and 4th metatarsal bones.The foot regional impulse was significantly lower on the normal side than on the toes-out side for toes 2 to 5 and for metatarsal bone 2.Conclusion In contrast to the normal foot,the pressure center of the toe-out foot deflects to the inner side.This results in slanted power application instead of straight ahead,so the strength in the direction of travel is small.And it will produce torsion between the tibia and fibula,which makes the tibia appear introverted and causes excessive friction in the knee joint.This will lead to injury of the knee joint.
4.One Case of Transcortical Sensory Aphasia with Prominent Semantic Comprehension Disorder

The paper reports one case patient of transcortical sensory aphasia with prominent semantic comprehension disorder. Clinical features were fluent aphasic output, serious auditory comprehension disorder,anomia and prominent disorder in word-lexical level comprehension. Repetition was a little difficult and was remarkably better than other test. There was serious alexia with agraphia, however, copy, series writing, visual spatial function and calculation were intact. His audition was norma1. He could distinguish not only non-word and non-verbal sound but also family member's and acquaintance's sound, but he couldn't understand their talking content. It should be distinguished from pure word-deafness and auditory agnosia- Moreover, we tried to discuss its mechanism.
6.Expressions of caudal type homeodomain transcription factors CDX1 and CDX2 in intestinal metaplasia and gastric carcinoma

Objective To study the expressions of caudal type homeodomain transcription factors CDX1 and CDX2 in different subtype of intestinal metaplasia (IM) and gastric eareinoma,and investigate their roles in the development and progression of IM and gastric carcinogenesis, and determine the relationship between IM and gastric carcinoma. Methods Forty eases of chronic superficial gastritis, 40 cases of chronic atrophic gastritis (CAG), 46 eases of CAG with IM, 40 cases of gastric carcinoma, and 32 eases of IM foci in para-eancerous tissues were selected respectively to construct tissue microarrays. Immunohistechemistry and in situ hybridization were used to assess the expressions of CDX2 protein and CDX1, CDX2 mRNA in different gastric lesions respectively. Results The proportion of type Ⅲ IM in IM foci in para-caucerous tissues was significantly higher than that in CAG (56.25% vs 21.74% ,P< 0.01). There was no expression of CDX1, CDX2 mRNA and CDX2 protein in chronic superficial gastritis and CAG without IM. The expression of CDX2 protein and CDX2 mRNA in CAG with IM, para-cancerous tissues and gastric carcinoma was 69.57%, 53.12%,42.50% (CDX2 protein) and 63.04%,46.88%,35.00% (CDX2 mRNA), respectively. The exprossions of CDX1 mRNA in above throe gastric lesions were 67.39%, 50.00%, 40.00%, respectively. The expressions of CDX2 protein and CDX2, CDX1 mRNA in gastric carcinoma were significantly lower than those in CAG with IM (P< 0.01). But there was no significant difference between gastric carcinoma and IM foci in para-cancerous tissues (P> 0.05). Furthermoro,the expressions of CDX2 protein were significantly associated with histological type of gastric carcinoma, which in intestinal-type was significantly higher than those in diffuse-type(54.55% vs 27.78%, P< 0.05). The expression of CDX2 protein in type Ⅲ IM was also significantly lower than that in type Ⅰ IM(46.43% vs 79.31%,P< 0.05). Conclusions CDX1 and CDX2 may play important roles in the development and progression of IM and gastric carcinoma, and may be new gastric carcinoma associated genes. Type Ⅲ IM is a precancerous lesion of the intestinal-type gastric carcinoma.
7.Effect of gestational and lactational exposure to the polychlorinated biphenyl mixture aroclor 1254 on learning and memory and hippocampus in rat offspring

Objective To explore the effect of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) on the learning and memory of gestational and lactational exposure to polychlorinated biphenyls in rats offspring.Methods The PCB mixture (A1254,0,5,10,20 mg/kg body weight) was administered to pregnant wistar rats every 3 days by gavage from gestational day (GD) 5 to postnatal day (PND) 20.To assess the effects on offspring following such exposure,Morris water maze test was performed to assess the learning and memory ability.Calcium concentration was assayed in hippocampus and the ultramicro structure was observed.Results After training for four days,the escaping latency in every group decreased significantly compared with the first day,especially the control group,the results in the fourth day decreased significantly with the early three days(P<0.05).The offsprings of the 10 and 20 mg/kg had prolonged time of passing the aim target ((5.23± 1.16) s,(7.90±3.21) s,(11.74±6.56) s and (20.83± 8.38) s ; P<0.05),decreased number of crossing platform ((4.14± 1.21),(3.00± 1.32),(2.65± 1.13),(2.42± 1.31) ; P<0.05) and swimming time in the target area ((40.14±7.14)s,(33.76±5.58)s,(32.45±6.00)s and (30.63±5.10) s; P<0.05)compared with those of the rats of control and 5 mg/kg groups.The calcium concentration increased ((121.16± 12.23) nM,(141.27±24.66) nM,(163.32±29.75) nM,(261.46±27.79) nM) and the ultramicro structure in hippocampus changed obviously in the high exposure group.Conclusion Gestational and lactational exposure to aroclor 1254 in rats could affect the leaming and memory ability of offsprings.
8.Effect of Acupuncture plus Acupoint Injection on the Hyperhomocystinemia in the Convalescent Stage of Cerebral Infarction patients

Objective To observe the effect of acupuncture plus acupoint injection on the hyperhomocystinemia in the convalescent stage of cerebral infarction patients.Method A total of 120 patients in the convalescent stage of cerebral infarction with hyperhomocystinemia were randomized into group A, group B, and group C, 40 cases in each group. The three groups were intervened by conventional western medicine treatment and rehabilitation therapy, the group A was byXing Nao Kai Qiao acupuncture treatment in addition, the group B was by acupoint injection with cobamamide for injection and the group C was byXing Nao Kai Qiao acupuncture plus acupoint injection treatment. The change of the plasma homocysteine (HCY) level, the Barthel Index (BI) score and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) score were observed before and after treatment.ResultEach index(the HCY level, BI score and NIHSS score) in the three groups was significantly changed after treatment(P<0.01). Each index in the group C was significantly different from that in the group A and group B after treatment(P<0.05,P<0.01). The HCY level of the group B after the treatment was significantly different from that of the group A.Conclusion Acupuncture plus acupoint injection can significantly change the HCY level of the convalescent stage of cerebral infarction patients with hyperhomocystinemia, improve the activity of daily living and nerve function.
9.The level and clinical significance of serum anti-lysosomal associated membrane protein-2 antibody in patients with anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies-associated vasculitis

Objective To explore the clinical.significance of serum anti-lysosomal associated membrane protein-2 (LAMP-2) antibody in the pathogenesis of anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCA)-associated vasculitis (AASV) by investigating the relationship of its levels and AASV.Methods Sera from twenty patients with AASV and twenty healthy controls were collected.Serum anti-LAMP-2 antibody was detected using commercial enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kits.Anti-LAMP-2 antibody levels between the two groups were assessed using the t test,the correlation between anti-LAMP-2 antibody levels and erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR),C-reactive protein (CRP) was assessed by Spearman's rank correlation test,the correlation between anti-LAMP-2 antibody levels and the Birmingham vasculitis activity score(BVAS),hemoglobin (Hb),albumin (Alb) was assessed by Pearson's rank correlation test.Results ① The serum level of anti-LAMP-2 antibody in patients with AASV [(3714±1446) pg/ml] was higher than that in the healthy controls [(174±43) pg/ml] (t=10.94,P<0.05).The serum level of Hb [(99±30) g/L] and Alb [(27±5) g/L]in patients with AASV was lower than that in healthy controls [(138±14) g/L,(44±3) g/L] (t=5.27,t=13.04,P>0.05).② The level of anti-LAMP-2 antibody in AASV was positively correlated with BVAS (r=0.669 9,P<0.05),and was not found elevated compared with ESR,CRP,Hb and Alb (P>0.05).Conclusion ① AntiLAMP-2 antibody is involved in the pathogenesis of AASV.② Anti-LAMP-2 antibody is correlated with the activity of AASV,it may be an indicator of AASV disease activity.
10.The clinical value of PCT levels in bacteria identification in ICU patients with bloodstream infection

Objective To investigate the clinical value of procalcitonin (PCT) levels in bacteria identification in intensive care unit (ICU) patients with bloodstream infection.Methods There were 540 cases of patients with bloodstream infection in our ICU between December 2007 and December 2013.The PCT levels and bacteria were identified.The application effectiveness of PCT levels in the bacteria identification was studied.Results The G+ bacteria infection rate was 49.63% (268/540),G-bacteria infection rate was 38.52% (208/540),and the fungal infection rate was 11.85% (64/540).The patients of G-bacteria had significant difference with G + bacteria and fungal infection (P < 0.05).The PCT average and positive rate of G-bacteria were significantly higher than G + bacteria and fungi group (P < 0.05),respectively.G+ bacteria and fungi infection did not have significant difference (P > 0.05).When PCT > 2.04 ng/ml,the sensitivity and specificity that applying serum PCT level to identify the between G-and G+ bacteria were 82.18% and 76.09%,respectively.When PCT >3.16 ng/ml,the sensitivity and specificity that applying serum PCT level to identify the between G-and fungus bacteria were 59.42% and 65.73%,respectively.Conclusions The identification between G-bacteria and G + bacteria,fungi with applying PCT level in bloodstream infections had high accuracy.When the PCT levels was greater than 2.04 ng/ml,the occurrence of G-bacteria was greater risk of infection.The accuracy of PCT level identifying the G + bacteria and fungi was poor.
