1.DNA-fluorometric assay for cytotoxicity and NK cytotoxic activety of peripheral blood lymp?o cytes from cancer patients
Chinese Journal of Immunology 1985;0(02):-
On the fluorescent reaction of ethidium bromide binding double-stranded DNA after cell ly-sis has been used to develop a rapid fluorometric assay for cytotoxicity. By using this technique, the cytotoxic activity of effector cells against target cells can be assayed by measuring the fluo-rescent intensities of the residual target cell DNA and the control target cell DNA. Our experi-mental results show that the fluorescent intensity of the uninjured, residual K562 cell DNA is ininverse relation to the cytotoxic activity of NK cells after incubation of peripheral bloed lympho-cytes with K562 cells. for 20 hr, at a different ratio of effector cell to target cell. We detected thecytotoxic activities of NK cells of perpheral blood lymphocytes from 34 normal individuals and 30cancer patients, and their mean percentages of NK cytotoxicity were 51.96?6.62% and 25.02?10.83% respectively, and had much significant deviation statistically(P

3.Esthetic evaluation in restoring anterior teeth with porcelain fused to metal crown
Chinese Journal of Medical Aesthetics and Cosmetology 2001;0(06):-
Objective To compare and analyse the esthetic effect of four kinds of the porcelain fused to metal crowns (PFMs) in restoring anterior teeth. Methods Based on single standard, a total of 371 anterior teeth from 110 patients were restored by PFM, in which 206 teeth of 59 patients were restored with Ni-Cr alloy PFM, 105 teeth of 29 patients with full circular procelain shoulder PFM, 35 teeth of 16 patients with titanium metal PFM, and 25 teeth of 6 patients with noble metal PFM. The esthetic effect was examined and analysed by single-blind method in one week and after one year. Results Between three days and one week, there was no difference among four PFMs in shapes and colors, which corresponded with adjacent teeth. The edge suitability was good and no significance was found in them. After one year, there was no difference of four PFMs in shapes and colors, which corresponded with adjacent teeth. The edge suitability of noble metal PFM was better than the other three, and the difference was statistically significant. Conclusion The esthetic effect is the best when noble metal PFM is used to restore anterior teeth and better with full circular procelain shoulder PFM.

ObjectiveTo establish nude mouse tumor models bearing human pancreatic adenocarcinoma SW1990 cells in multiple sites at different time-points and investigate the feasibiilty of multiple tumor-bearing in these models; then the findings and detection rate of 3.0T magnetic resonance image (MRI) in subcutaneous transplanted tumors was analyzed. Methods A total of 6 BALB/C nude mice were randomized into 3 groups (2 mice per group ).At the 1st,8th,15th day,the mice were injected subcutaneously with the suspension of SW1990 cells at left axilla and right axilla and right groin in sequence.Three weeks later, all the bearing-tumor mice were performed with MRI non-contrast enhanced scanning plus Gd-DTPA enhanced scan and the subcutaneous masses were subjected to pathological analysis.ResultsAll the 6 nude mice were alive during the study and obvious mass was observed in every injected site. The tumor size was positively associated with the grwing time. There were 9 tumors which could be de.ted by noncontrast enhanced MRI scanning and one more tumor was detected by contrast enhanced scanning.2 tumors were not detected, the 2 tumors were located at subcutaneous of right groin, with the shortest growing time, and the major axis of the 2 un-detected tumors was less than 5mm.Despite the MRI findings of the transplanted masses similar to that of human pancreatic adenocarcinoma with bleeding, necrosis, they presented the characteristics of a clear rim, with pseudocapeule sign. All the 12 masses were similar with human pancreatic adenocarcinoma under light microscope.ConclusionsIt is feasible to transplant human pancreatic adenocarcinoma cell at three different subcutaneous sites (injected at three different points of time) in the nude mouse, with a minimal survival time of three weeks. However, routine 3.0T MRI cannot detect the early tumors (growing time within 1 week, major axis <5 mm).

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2010;14(9):1665-1668
BACKGROUND:It is controversial to treat sacroiliac joint fracture. Some scholars advocated expectant treatment, and some others advocated surgery therapy.Pelvic stability was responsible for the scheme selection.Sacroiliac joint fracture-dislocation destroys pelvic stability, which easily induces instability and bone nonunion, resulting in sacroiliac joint pain, unequal size of lower limbs, sitting pain and dysfunction. Thus, prognosis of mental implant is significantly better than expectant treatment in treatment of unstable pelvic fracture.OBJECTIVE:To summarize the treatment of unstable pelvic fractures and their clinical application using various internal and external fixation of metal implants.METHODS:The computer-based research was done in Pubmed database (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/PubMed) and Wanfang database (http://www.wanfangdata.com.cn) for articles published from January 1991 to December 2009 with the key words of "Pelvic fractures, instability, surgical treatment" by the first author.A total of 115 articles were retrieved, and those concerning characteristics and clinical application of implants in the treatment of unstable pelvic fracture.Articles addressing old and repetitive contents were excluded.Literatures of the same fields published in recent years or in authorized journals were selected.Finally,30 articles were included.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Sacroiliac joint fracture-dislocation is a severe,high-energy trauma, has been paid great attention in the therapy, particularly in unstable sacroiliac joint fracture-dislocation.A stable type of fracture and dislocation of the sacroiliac joint received a conservative treatment of unstable sacroiliac joint fracture-dislocation appropriate line of external fixation, internal fixation for reconstruction of pelvic stability and internal fixation treatment varied, but the therapeutic effect of internal fixation needs to be improved. What are bio-mechanical characteristics of various internal fixation methods, and how the timing of weight-bearing activities following various internal fixations require further basic and clinical studies. An unstable sacroiliac joint fracture-dislocation fixation has many ways, including the anterior and posterior fixed-fixed.Minim ally invasive therapy such as posterior CT guided sacroiliac joint lag screw is the developmental trend.

Chinese Journal of Radiology 2009;43(2):150-155
Objective To quantitatively evaluate the influence of fluid attenuated inversion prepared recovery (FLAIR) on apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) and its clinical application value. Methods The data of DWI and FLAIR-DWI of 139 stroke were retrospectively reviewed. Paired t-test was used to analyze DWI (ADCCON ) and FLAIR-DWI (ADCFLAIR) values at varying time points from hyperacute to chronic stage. All of the lesions were further divided into cortex involved infarction and subcortical infarction. The ADCCON and ADCFLAIR values in the lesion sides and the contralateral sides were compared separately. Results The mean ADCCON values for lesions less than 6 hours, 7--12 hours, 13--24 hours, within 2 days, 3-4 days, 5-7 days and 8--14 days were not significantly different from those of the ADCFLAIR values(P >0.05) [ADCCON were (0.55±0.07), (0.50±0.09), (0.50±0. 13), (0.50 ± 0. 13), (0.62 ± 0. 14), ( 0. 60 ± 0. 12), (0. 72 ± 0. 20) × 10-3 mm2/s; ADCFLAIR were ( 0. 53 ± 0. 09 ), (0.49±0.06),(0.49±0.10),(0.48±0.08),(0.58±0. 14), (0.60±0.09),(0.73±0.15) × 10-3 mm2/s]. Lesions of 15 to 30 days [ (0. 95±0. 21 ) × 10-3 mm2/s and ( 1.02±0. 27) × 10-3 mm2/s for ADCFLAIR and ADCCON ] and the chronic stage ( >31 days) [ ADCFLAIR and ADCCON were (1.10 ± 0. 30) × 10-3 mm2/s and (1.36±0. 41 ) × 10-3 mm2/s respectively], had a significantly lower ADCFLAIR than those of the ADCCON (P <0. 01 ). For patients with a symptom duration of less than 14 days, the mean ADCFLAIR values of the cortex involved and subcortical lesions were all not significantly different from the mean ADCCON (P > 0. 05 ) [ ADCCON were ( 0. 55 ± 0. 16 ), ( 0. 61 ± 0. 14 ) × 10-3 mm2/s ; ADCFLAIR were (0.53±0. 14), (0.60±0. 13) × 10-3 mm2/s]. For patients with a symptom duration of longer than 14 days, the mean ADCFLAIR values of the cortex involved and subeortical lesions were all significantly lower than those of the mean ADCCON values [ ( 1.16±0. 36) × 10-3 mm2/s vs. ( 1.35±0. 48) × 10-3 mm2/s for cortex involved lesions and (0. 97±0. 19) × 10-3 mm2/s vs. ( 1.15±0. 33) × 10-3 mm2/s for subcortical lesions ] (P < 0. 01 ). The ADC values of the normal contralateral sides were significantly decreased after the fluid inversion prepared pulse was conducted [ ADCFLAIR, ( 0. 76 ± 0. 05 ) × 10-3 mm2/s and ADCCON, (0. 82 ± 0. 11 ) × 10-3 mm2/s ] ( p < 0. 01 ). Conclusions The FLAIR significantly decrease the absolute ADC values of the ischemic lesions 14 days later after the stroke onset, which may be helpful in determining individual lesion age. Meanwhile, the application of FLAIR can have a more accurate relative ADC value by reducing the free fluid partial volume effect of the normal contralateral side, and hence enhance the ability of detecting the subtle ischemic pathophysiological changes.
