Objective To explore the relationship between Wuyishan cliff tea and esophageal cancer, and make integrated measures to prevent and control esophageal cancer. Methods A case-control study was conducted with a ratio of 1 to 1 and a health survey was conducted on objects which included 92 cases with histologically confirmed diagnoses of squamous-cell carcinoma of the esophagus and 92 controls matched by age,sex and resident. The analysis method of conditional logistic regression was used to analyze the influence of cliff tea on the development of esophageal cancer. Results The frequency of cliff tea drinking was 73.91% in cases with esophageal cancer compared with 84.78% in controls. As compared with subjects without tea drinking, subjects with cliff tea drinking significantly decreased the risk for developing esophageal cancer (P<0.05),and its OR were 0.60.The risk of esophageal cancer significantly reduced with increasing frequency of cliff tea drinking per week. Furthermore, we also found that the risk of esophageal cancer significantly reduced with the duration of cliff tea drinking and the early of beginning to drink cliff tea. Conclusion Wuyishan cliff tea drinking may protect against the risk of esophageal cancer.

This study was aimed to observe the effect ofIllicium verum water extract on excess-cold syndrome in rats. The intragastric administration of the decoction of gypsum, gentian, phellodendron andrhizoma anemarrhenae (2:1.2:1:1.5) was used to establish the excess-cold rat model. Effects ofI. verum water extract on general body signs of excess-cold syndrome rats were observed. The detection was made on the contents of LD, PA, TG, TSH, T4 in the serum and LD, PA, glycogen in liver tissues. The vitality of the LDH, SDH and ATPas was also detected. The results showed thatI. verum water extract can improve the general body signs of excess-cold syndrome rats. It reduced the content of TG; increased the content of PA, T4, TSH; reduced the content of LD, glycogen, and the vitality of LDH;increased the vitality of LDH, Ca2+-Mg2+-ATPase in liver tissues. It was concluded thatI. verum water extract can improve some general body signs of excess-cold syndrome rats, improve the substance and energy metabolism, and regulate the thyroid axis function, in order to achieve the warmingyang for dispelling cold effect.

Objective To examine the relationship between CCT 5 ,γδ T cell and autoimmune diseases .Methods Recombinant CCT5 protein was cloned , expressed and purified in E.coli.Three peptides of CCT5 protein were used to prepare for anti-CCT5 monoclonal antibodies .Purified CCT5 protein was used to expand γδT cells from pe-ripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC).Plasma level of CCT5 in healthy donors, patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) were detected by ELISA assays .The correlation analysis between plasma CCT5 concentration and the percentage of different subtypes of γδT cells measured by flow cytometry was made . Results The CCT5 gene was amplified by PCR and the length of the target fragment was 1 750 bp.The expressed 65 ku CCT5 protein was purified and validated by SDS-PAGE.Two paired monoclonal anti-CCT5 antibodies were screened to detect CCT5 protein in plasma.Immobilized recombinant CCT5 protein was able to induce specific sig-nificant amplification of peripheral γδT cells.Correlation analysis of 10 healthy donors indicated significant corre-lation between the plasma CCT 5 concentration and the proportion of Vγ9 and Vδ2 γδ T cells. The plasma CCT5 concentration significantly decreased in autoimmune diseases patients , including RA and SLE .Conclusions These data suggest that CCT 5 could be a novel Vγ9δ2 γδT cell-related factor in autoimmune diseases , which deepen the understanding of Vγ9δ2 γδT cell function in autoimmune diseases .

Objective Aiming at detecting Staphylococcus aureus、Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Klebsiella pneumoniae in laboratory animals, the paper provides a rapid, sensitive and simple test method. Methods According to Staphylococcus aureus nuc gene,Pseudomonas aeruginosa LasI gene,Klebsiella pneumonia PhoE gene and general 16S rRNA gene, designed specific primers;Through the optimization of multiplex PCR primer concentrations and annealing temperature, the specificity and sensitivity of detection, establishing multiplex PCR system.Application of the PCR system test specimens of artificial infections and experiment animal feces is compared with traditional test method. Results Multiplex PCR amplification of Staphylococcus aureus (153 bp), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (600 bp) with Klebsiella pneumoniae (368 bp) and general (520 bp).The multiplex sensitivity for the purpose of 10pg, specificity of detection was not detected from other pathogens.Application of establishing multiplex PCR system to detect the artificial positive samples, and detect 1 Pseudomonas aeruginosa positive case in 76 fecals. Conclusions This paper established the multiplex PCR method which has the advantages of specific, sensitive, simple and rapid, and provides a reliable way for rapid test in laboratory animals microbiology.

An adult female patient of internal nuclear inclusion disease(NIID)with a major clinical manifestation of decreased intelligence and recurrent disturbance of consciousness was followed up for nearly 4 years. In particular, the evolution of the video-electroencephalogram(VEEG),the auxiliary diagnosis of VEEG,and the prediction value of VEEG for clinical outcome were summarized. We found that(1)the background rhythm in NIID patients evolved with the progression of the disease;(2)electroencephalogram reactivity could predict the outcome of NIID coma;(3)VEEG helped to determine whether the consciousness disturbance caused by NIID was due to non-convulsive status epilepticus,This case provides a new idea to explore the application of VEEG in NIID.

Background: Visceral hypersensitivity is considered as a key pathophysiological mechanism involved in functional gastrointestinal disorders (FGIDs). Visceral nociception and hyperalgesia is existed extensively following exposure to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), however, its molecular mechanism in intestinal tract is unclear. Aims: To explore the potential role of N-Myc downstream-regulated gene 2 (NDRG2) in intestinal tract for mediating visceral hypersensitivity following exposure to PTSD. Methods: PTSD model was established by single prolonged stress (SPS). SD rats were divided into normal control group, CTX group, PTSD group and PTSD+CTX group. Mice were divided into normal control group, PTSD group, NDRG2

Objective:
To study the clinical value of serum cystatin C, neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (NGAL) and matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-9/NGAL-1 measurements for early diagnosis of acute kidney injury (AKI) in patients with acute-on-chronic liver failure (ACLF).
Methods:
This study included 102 patients with hepatitis B virus related ACLF and 31 patients with chronic hepatitis B (CHB) were enrolled as controls. Biomarkers including serum cystatin C, NGAL and MMP-9/NGAL-1 were measured twice in the patients with ACLF at admission and at the time progressed to AKI and once in the controls.
Results:
In patients with ACLF, serum cystatin C levels was higher than that of the CHB control (
