Objective:To determine the inhibitory effect of Rupixiao ( RPX) granule on mammary gland hyperplasia ( HMG) in rabbits and explore the possible mechanism to provide reference for clinical medication. Methods:Rabbit model of mammary hyperpla-sia was established by estradiol benzoate and progesterone. Xiaoyao pills and tamoxifen were used as the positive control, and the RPX granule group was respectively at low, medium and high dose (0. 525,1. 05,2. 1 g·kg-1). Each group was with intragastric adminis-tration for 30 days. The levels of E2 , PROG, FSH, LH and PRL in serum and the expression of VEGF in the homogenate tissue were determined by an Elisa method. The breast tissue of rabbits in each group was withdrawn to observe the structure changes after Hema-toxylin-eosin staining ( HE) . Results:Ovarian preservation-benzoic acid, estradiol combined with progesterone could be used to estab-lish mammary gland hyperplasia in rabbits. RPX granule could significantly decrease the serum levels of E2 and PRL (P<0. 01)and increase that of PROG (P<0. 01 or P<0. 001). The results of pathological section showed that the breast structure in RPX granule high dose group could be restored to the level of the blank control group, which showed its therapeutic effect on HMG was better than that of tamoxifen and Xiaoyao pills. The expression of VEGF in each treatment group significantly decreased compared with that in the model group by the Elisa reagent (P<0. 001). Conclusion:RPX granule has good efficacy in HMG rabbits. The inhibitory effects of RPX granule on HMG in rabbits maybe related to the inhibition of VEGF in rabbit breast tissues, and the inhibition of RPX granule was similar to that of tamoxifen and Xiaoyao pills.

ZnO nanoparticle-containing carbon composite nanofiber ( ZnO-CNF ) was prepared by the electrospinning of the ZnCl2-PAN precursor, followed by preoxidation and carbonization. The ZnO nanoparticles were uniformly distributed on the surface of the carbon nanofiber with the size of 20-30 nm, confirmed by scanning electron microscopy ( SEM ) . The wettability of the ZnO-CNF was studied by water contact angle test. With Nafion as an additive, the ZnO-CNF modified electrode was successfully constructed by dip-coating. The surface morphology and electrochemical properties of the modified electrode were investigated by SEM and cyclic voltammetry. There was a sensitive response of the ZnO-CNF modified electrode on Pb ions in solution, demonstrated by square wave stripping voltammetry. Under the optimized conditions, a good linear relationship between peak current and Pb2+concentration was obtained in the range of 2. 4×10-10-2. 4×10-7 mol/L (R=0. 998) by 10 min preconcentration at -1. 0 V in 0. 1 mol/L NaAc buffer solution (pH=4. 6). The detection limit was 4. 8×10-11 mol/L. The practical analytical application of the ZnO-CNF modified electrode was assessed by the measurement of the actual water sample and the result was consistent with that obtained by ICP-MS.

ZnO nanotubes were prepared via electrospinning the Zn ( AC ) 2-polyacrylonitrile-polyvinylpyrrolidone ( PAN-PVP) precursor, followed by thermal decomposition of the above polymers from the precursor fibers. SEM and XRD characterization confirmed that the as-prepared ZnO nanofibers presented the hollow nanotube form, which was composed of ZnO nanoparticles with the size of about 40 nm in wurtzite crystal structure. By mixing with graphene, the obtained ZnO-graphene composite modified glassy carbon electrode ( ZnO-RGO/GCE ) was successfully constructed by dip-coating, which was used for the determination of Pb2+in water. With the sensitive response of the ZnO-RGO/GC electrode to Pb2+in solution was demonstrated by square wave stripping voltammetry, the response pctential was at -0. 4V. Under the optimized conditions, a good linear relationship between peak current and Pb2+ concentration was obtained in the range of 2. 4×10-9-4. 8×10-7 mol/L (R=0. 9970) by 10 min preconcentration at -1. 0 V in 0. 1 mol/L HAc-NaAc buffer solution (pH=4. 6). The detection limit was 4. 8×10-10 mol/L (S/N>3). The ZnO-RGO/GC electrode had good stability. The practical analytical application of the ZnO-RGO modified electrode was assessed by the measurement of the actual water sample and the result was consistent with that obtained by ICP-MS.

Objective: To evaluate the feasibility and effect of transcatheter closure of ventricular septal defects(VSD) using the VSD occluder. Methods: From December 2003 to March 2005,13 VSD patients,8 males and 5 females, ranging in age from 4 to 35(15.2?10.7)years,underwent catheter closure using the VSD occluder.Tthe mean diameter of the VSD obtained by transthoracic echocardiography was 4-12(5.4?1.2) mm.Transcatheter closure was performed under transthoracic echocardiographic guidance after left ventriculography. All patients were followed up 1,3 and 6 months after the procedures. Results: The devices were successfully placed in 12 of the patients and complete closure achieved in 11.Trace residual shunt was observed in 1 patient but disappeared within 10 minutes. No severe complications were noted except 1 case of complete right bundle branch block revealed by electrocardiography. Conclusion: Transcatheter closure of VSD by the VSD occluder is a safe and effective procedure, with good immediate results.Further clinical trials are under way to assess its long-term effect.

Objective Evaluate the surgical result of ascending aorta-abdominal aorta bypass combined with cardiac op-eration for adults aortic coarctation concomitant with cardiac diseases. Methods Between February 2009 and September 2012, total 24 consecutive patients underwent ascending aorta-abdominal aorta bypass combined with cardiac operation.Of these pa-tients, 2 patients who underwent off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting combined with ascending aorta-abdominal aorta by-pass did not required cardiopulmonary bypass.Other 22 patients underwent one stage repair under cardiopulmonary bypass. The mean artery pressure of upper-lower limb was(38.0 ±9.34)mmHg.Results There was no in-hospital mortality. The mean artery pressure of upper-lower limb was(11.44 ±2.59)mmHg.The mean cardiopulmonary bypass time was(107.27 ± 34.56) min.The mean aorta clamp time was(72.59 ±28.98)min.The mean intensive care unit stay time is(35.22 ± 50.41)h.The mean mechanical ventilation time was(19.50 ±17.64)h.2 patients required prolonged mechanical ventilation for respiratory dysfunction.Of these 2 patients, 1 patient required ECMO support for respiratory failure.Total 1 patient needed temporary continuous renal replacement therapy. No re-exploration for bleeding and gastrointestinal complications were ob-served.Aorta CTA scan was performed for all patients before discharged from hospital. The grafts were patent for all patients and no graft-related complications were observed. Conclusion Ascending aorta-abdominal aorta bypass combined with cardiac operation is a safe and effective one stage repair technique for adults aortic coarctation concomitant with cardiac diseases is a safe and effective technique.
