Objective To summarize our experience in the diagnosis and treatment of right hemicolon carcinoma combined with acute appendicitis.Methods A respective analysis of clinical data of 51 cases of right colon cancer complicated with acute appendicitis and confirmed by surgical operation and pathology was made.Results In 2400 cases of right colon cancer,51 cases(2.1%)complicated with appendicitis.There were medical complications in 39 cases(76.5%).The diagnosis before operation was made in 13 cases(25.5%),and diagnosis of colon cancer was missed in 38 cases(74.5%).Colon adenocarcinoma was found in 40 cases,mucous adenocarcinoma 7 cases(13.7%),undifferentiated carcinoma 4 cases(7.8%);and Dukes B,C,D stages were in 2 cases(3.9%),29 cases(56.9%)and 20 cases(39.2%)respectively.The simple appendicitis,suppurative appendicitis,gangrenous appendicitis and phlegnomous appendicitis was found in 28 cases(54.9%),11 cases(21.6%),8 cases(15.7%)and 4 cases(7.8%)respectively.3-5-year survival was 95.2%,40.0%,respectively.Conclusions Occurrence rate of right colon cancer combined with appendicitis is low,but misdiagnosis rate is high,and 5-year survival rate is low.Middle and old age patients with appendicitis and accompanied with emaciation,anemia,digestive symptoms and right lower abdominal mass should have appropriate examination to avoid missing the diagnosis of right colon cancer.

Photography of slit-lamp biomicroscopy combined with retro-illumination photography is the gold standard in cataract evaluation. However the application is limited due to its complexity and low efficiency. We introduce digital non-mydriatic fundus photography as a new method for cataract screening in patients with visual impairment,which might play an important role in screening low vision and blindness caused by cataract. Two distinguished benefits are found in this method including compatibility for tele-diagnosis,and integration with screening of glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy. Cautions should be made on the photographs in which media opacity derived from other than cataract or low quality photos due to small pupils.

Objective: To investigate the effect of DL-homocysteine (Hcy) on expression of VCAM-1 and the adhesion between endothelial cells and monocytes in cultured rat aortic endothelial cells. Method: Rat aortic endothelial cells were cultured in vitro and treated by 0-5.0 mmol/L Hcy for 24 h. The activity of SOD and GSH-Px, the contents of MDA in the medium and the rates of adhesion between endothelial cells and monocytes were determined. The expressions of NF-?b,VCAM-1 protein and the VCAM-1 mRNA were detected by immunocytochemical and reverse transcriptase PCR respectively. Results: Compared with control group and 0.01 mmol/L Hcy , 0.1-5.0 mmol/L Hcy significantly inhibited the activity of SOD and GSH-Px, increased the contents of MDA and the expression of NF-?B and VCAM-1mRNA, enhanced the rates of adhesion between endothelial cells and monocytes. Conclusion: Homocysteine may play a crucial role in atherosclerosis by increasing the expression of NF-?B,VCAM-1mRNA and enhancing the rates of adhesion between endothelial cells and monocytes.

Objective:To investigate the cross protective effects of folic acid,VB6,VB12 on rat aortic endothelial cells(RAEC) from injury induced by DL-homocysteine(Hcy).Method:RAEC were cultured in vitro,and the cross effects of folic acid,VB6,VB12 were studied by MTT.According to the results of orthogonal design,the activities of SOD,GSH-PX,NOS and the contents of MDA,NO in the media were compared.Results:The results of orthogonal design indicated that the inhibition of Hcy to RAEC could be relieved by folic acid,VB12 excluding VB6.The interaction existed between folic acid and VB12,as well as VB6 and VB12.The inhibition of Hcy to the enzymes(SOD、GSH-PX、NOS) could be relieved by three vitamin projects.Folic acid,VB12,VB6 could inhibit the reduction of NO and decrease the production of MDA.Conclusion:The simultaneous addition of folic acid,VB6 and VB12 may be an excellent strategy for protection of RAEC injury induced by DL-homocysteine.

目的探讨推拿加腰背肌训练治疗非特异性下腰痛的作用机理。方法200例非特异性下腰痛(NLBP)患者分为4组:空白组、训练组、推拿组、推拿加训练组,各50例。在治疗开始和治疗4周后,对4组患者进行肌酸激酶(CK)、乳酸脱氢酶(LDH)、超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)活性、丙二醛(MDA)含量的测定及目测类比定级法(VAS)评定。结果4组患者的CK、LDH、SOD和MDA含量以及VAS指数均有不同程度的改善。组间比较,推拿加训练组的CK、LDH、SOD和MDA含量以及VAS指数均明显优于其他3组(均P<0.01)。结论中医推拿技术结合主动功能训练治疗NLBP具有明显的康复疗效。

Objective To observe effects of acupoint sticking of Migudan on BGP and Hyp in the patients of primary osteoporosis. Objective To evaluate video-assisted thoracoscopic sympathectomy(VTS) for the treatment of palmar hyperhidrosis(PH),and to analyze curative efficacies for surgeries on different sympathetic segments.Methods Medline search was done on PubMed and data of randomized controlled trials(RCTs) about comparisons of surgeries on different segments over the past decade were collected.According to the inclusion criterion,relevant articles were screened.Then we extracted data,assessed trail quality,and performed Meta-analysis by using RevMan 5.2 with postoperative compensatory hyperhidrosis(CH) as the main evaluation index.Results A total of 11 RCTs involving 1 413 patients were included,among which all patients underwent bilateral VTS.Ef cacious rates were similar between multiple and single ganglia sympathectomy(97.7％ vs 98.8％,P ＜0.01).However,single-ganglia group showed a lower risk of CH compared to multiple-ganglia group.Meta-analysis suggested that,in the subgroups of the single-ganglia VTS,no significant difference was found between T2/T3 and other segments in the risk of CH [T2 segment vs other segments,RR =1.11,95 ％ CI(0.99,1.24) ; T3 segment vs other segments,RR =0.99,95％ CI(0.89,1.11)].The risk of CH was significantly lower in T4 sympathectomy than in other segments [RR =0.67,95％ CI(0.57,0.79)].By comparison of T2,T3 and T4 sympathectomy,we found that low segment had a lower risk of CH than high segment[RR =0.75,95％ CI(0.68,0.84)].Conclusion Single-ganglia and low segment sympathectomy can significantly reduce the incidence of CH,and T4 is supposed to be the best segment for the treatment of PH.

Objective To evaluate the mechanism of immunosuppressive activity of 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D_3 and provide a theoretical basis for clinical use. Methods Different inbred strain male BALB/C (H-2d) and male C57BL/6(H-2b) mice were used as skin transplantation donors and recipients, respectively. After operation C57BL/6 mice were conditioned with 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D_3 2.5 ??g/kg every day, Cyclosporine A (CsA) po 25 mg/kg every day separately or unitedly. Ten days after transplantation, the recipients were sacrificed, and the spleens were collected. The mouse splenic T lymphocytic subsets, mixed lymphocyte reaction (MLR), the activity of natural killer (NK) cells were determined. Results The mean survival time (MST) of skin allografts was prolonged from ( 9.75 ? 0.89 ) days to ( 13.13 ? 1.13 ) days by treatment of the recipient mice with 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D_3. CD3 + and CD4 + subset percentage in 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D_3 group was lower than that in control group CD3 + ( 40.19 ? 4.25 )% vs ( 48.70 ? 7.19 )%, P

OBJECTIVE To study the possibility of acellular bony microtubule used to construct tissue engineering ossicular prosthesis. METHODS To prepare the acellular bony microtubule, observe the change of its histocompatibility and biomechanics. The acellular bony microtubule carried with collagen/ BMP-2 was implanted into the middle ear of the animals. The ectopic osteogenesis was observed. RESULTS The acellular bony microtubule has good histocompatibility. There wasn’t significant change about biomechanics. After carried with collagen/BMP-2, the bony microtubule can induce osteogenesis in the animal’s middle ear. CONCLUSION The acellular bony microtubule carried with collagen/BMP-2 has the possibility to be used to construct tissue engineering ossicular prosthesis.

Objective To investigate the changes of visual evoked potentials (VEP) in patients with Parkinson’s disease (PD). Methods Pattern reversal checkerboard VEP and the unified Parkinson’s disease rating scale (UPDRS) were evaluated in 69 patients with PD and 61 healthy controls. The 69 patients and 61 healthy controls were divided into an aged group (≥60 years old) and a non aged group (0.05). Conclusions VEP reflected objectively the patients’ electrophysical changes of the visual pathway due to dopamine changes and it may be helpful in PD diagnosis.
