1.Investigation Research on the Correlation between the Compliance of Using High Altitude Special Medicines and Incidence of Mountain Sickness

OBJECTIVE:To provide reference for health service support at high altitude area. METHODS:375 servicemen who rapidly entered high altitude area were investigated by questionnaire in 2013 to investigate the compliance of using high alti-tude special medicines and incidence of mountain sickness and analyze its correlation. RESULTS:375 questionnaires were distribut-ed and 324 questionnaires were collected with effective response rate of 86.4%. The utilization rate of Multivitamin tablet,Skin cream and Lip balm for high altitude area were 30.9%,13.3% and 40.1% respectively. The compliance of using high altitude spe-cial medicines had effect on the incidence of related mountain sickness. The incidence of mountain sickness of people who followed the physician’s instructions was significantly lower than those who did not. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS:High altitude special medicines can relieve and prevent the mountain sickness. But the overall compliance of us-ing high altitude special medicines was not ideal. The education of high altitude special medicines should be strengthened,and dos-age forms and medicine instruction should be enhanced to improve its compliance and play better protective effect.
2.Study on relationship between typeⅠcollagen,NF-?B and atherosclerosis in rabbits

Objective To study the serum lipid(TC,TG,LDL-C) and the role of typeⅠcollagen,NF-?B,typeⅠcollagen mRNA and NF-?B mRNA levels and their mechanisms in the occurrence and progress of atherosclerosis in order to provide theoretical gist for its prevention.Methods Blood vessel wall pathological and the serum lipid changes,the expressions of typeⅠcollagen,NF-?B,typeⅠcollagen mRNA and NF-?B mRNA levels were observed in dietary induced atherosclerosis rabbit model by morphology study,immunohistochemistry,in situ hybridization technique and color image analyzer(CMAIS).Results The model of AS was established successfully after rabbits were fed with cholesterol,who developed the fatty streak lesion in the aortic intra-wall.In the rabbit model,TC and LDL were respectively increased 43 times and 37 times and there were no difference in TG and body weight.Type I collagen,NF-?B,type I collagen mRNA and NF-?B mRNA were 0.27?0.02,0.19?(0.01) and 0.30?0.03,0.35?0.03,respectively,which were higher than those of control group(0.08?0.01,0.09?0.01 and 0.11?0.01,0.10?0.09,respectively)(P
3.Endoscopic greater saphenous vein harvest in coronary artery bypass operation: one-year follow-up analysis

ObjectiveTo summarize the one-year follow-up clinical result of patients undergoing Endoscopic vein harvest (EVH) technology to collect greater saphenous vein( GSV )in coronary artery bypass operation (CABG),and to assess the related factors influencing the outcome.Methods248 patients underwent off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting (OPCAG) from May 2009 to May 2010.Among these patients,136 patients with coronary artery disease received EVH technology to gain GSV,and 112 patients received conventional open vein harvesting (OVH).Then 71 EVH (group 1 ) patients and 64 OVH ( group 2 ) patients had one-year follow-up analysis.We compared and evaluated the data of two groups about operation information,lower limb wound complication,bridge blood vessels patency rate,and psychologic status.ResultsThe date of wound surface size,wound healing and appearance,wound infection rate,the second debridement rate and the overall lower limb wound complication rate show that EVH was better than OVH.After one-year follow-up,we contrasted the patency rate of bridge blood vessels between two groups.The patency rate of arterial bridge blood vessels was 96.8% ( venous bridge blood vessels was 85.7% )in group of EVH when we followed up 63 patients;while the patency rate of arterial bridge blood vessels was 94.9% ( venous bridge blood vessels was 86.4% ) in group of OVH that we followed up 59 patients.We compared the outcome between two groups,and found that there were no statistical significance in angina recurrence rate,patency rate of venous graft and patency rate of arterial graft.But the psychologic status was different,the EVH group was better than OVH group.ConclusionCompared to OVH,EVH technique has more advantages.Through taking a more secure method in the collection process of the bridging vein material,EVH group also maintained a satisfactory one-year graft patency rate.
4.Effectiveness of Danning Tablet in patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver of damp-heat syndrome type: a multicenter randomized controlled trial.

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Danning Tablet (DNT) in patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) of damp-heat syndrome type. METHODS: A multicenter, randomized, double-blinded and positive drug parallel controlled trial was performed. One hundred and thirty-five patients were enrolled into the study and divided into two groups: DNT-treated group (n=102) and ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA)-treated group (n=33). Body mass index (BMI), principal symptoms, liver function, blood lipids, iconographic, and compositional parameters were measured before and after treatment, respectively. RESULTS: In the two groups, BMI, distress in hepatic region, fatigue, anorexia, liver function, blood lipids and iconographic parameters were significantly improved, and the improvements of BMI, distress in hepatic region were better in DNT-treated group than in UDCA-treated group. The histological study also showed that DNT had positive effect in treatment of NAFLD. CONCLUSION: DNT is an effective drug to treat patients with NAFLD of damp-heat syndrome type and is more effective than UDCA.
5.Prevalence and associated factor of obesity in children aged 3-6 years in Hebei Province

Objective:
To analyze the epidemiological characteristics and related factors of obesity in children aged 3-6 years old in Hebei Province, and to provide a reference for childhood obesity prevention and control strategies.
Methods:
A total of 6 034 children aged 3-6 years were randomly selected from 11 cities in Hebei Province for physical examination and questionnaire survey.
Results:
The prevalence of obesity in 3-6 year old boys and girls in Hebei Province were 23.00% and 17.48 %, which differed significantly ( χ 2=28.51, P <0.01); The prevalence of obesity was higher in rural areas and children with ethnic minorities ( 20.06 %, 21.68%) than that of urban are and Han children (19.97%, 20.09%), with no significant differences ( χ 2= 0.01 , 0.78, P >0.05). Multivariate Logistic regression analysis revealed that boys( OR =1.45), birth weight no less than 4 000 g ( OR =2.80), high fat food consumption at least 3 times a week (OR =1.64), carbonated drinks consumption at least 3 times a week ( OR =4.71), insufficient fruits and vegetables consumption ( OR =1.22), physical activities less than 2 hours per day ( OR =1.82), maternal obesity ( OR =2.0), and lack of physical exercise of fathers ( OR =1.95) were significantly associated with higher risk for obesity among young children in Hebei Province ( P <0.01).
Conclusion
The prevalence of obesity among children aged 3-6 years in Hebei Province is at a high level at present. Many factors contribute to this epidemic such as genetics, poor diet and living habits. Promotion of healthy eating and lifestyle, as well as dissemination of reliable knowledge about childhood obesity are greatly needed.
6.Intraoperative autologous based blood conservation strategies in mitral valve replacement.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate whether intraoperative autologous donation (IAD) can reduce perioperative blood transfusion for patients underwent mitral valve replacement (MVR).
METHODSA total of 318 patients received implementation of IAD from January 2011 to December 2013 were analyzed retrospectively, and compared with 517 patients of the previous 36-month period (from January 2008 to December 2012). The method of small-volume retrograde autologous priming, strict blood transfusion standard along with IAD together constituted a progressive blood-saving strategy. Statistical methods including Students' t-test, Pearson's χ(2) test, Kruskal-Wallis analysis and multivariate Logistic regression model were used for comparisons of the data.
RESULTSThere were no significant difference between IAD group and non-IAD group considering preoperative patient demographics, characteristics and preoperative comorbidities. However, IAD group significantly reduced number of patients transfused with intra/post-operative packed red-blood cell (PRBC) (55(17.0%) vs. 215 (42.1%), χ(2)=53.0, P=0.000), and had significantly reduced postoperative chest tube output (150(380) ml vs. 700(660) ml, H=195.648, P=0.000), length of stay ((16±6) d vs. (20±8)d, t=9.60, P=0.000). But hematocrit were lower in IAD group (30%±5% vs.33%±4% at end of operation, t=7.76, P=0.000; 30%±4% vs. 32%±5% at discharge, P=0.000, t=3.86). Multivariate logistic aggression analysis revealed that age, IAD and smoking history were factors influencing the probability of intra or postoperative blood transfusion.
CONCLUSIONImplementation of blood conservation strategies based on intraoperative autologous donation in mitral valve replacement surgery can significantly reduce intra/postoperative blood transfusion as well as postoperative complications.

7.Expression of MMP-9 and TIMP-1 in nasopharyngeal carcinoma and its signification at Xi'an and Shenzhen.

OBJECTIVE:
To compare the expression of matrix metalloproteinase-9 and tissue inhibitor of matrix metalloproteinase-1 of nasopharyngeal carcinoma at Xi'an and Shenzhen area.
METHOD:
The protein expression of MMP 9 and TIMP 1 were studied by immunohistochemistry staining in 21 cases nasopharyngeal carcinoma of Xi'an and 22 cases of Shenzhen.
RESULT:
The expression positive rates of MMP-9 in nasopharyngeal carcinoma tissues at Xi'an and Shenzhen were 61.90% and 68.18%. The positive rates of TIMP-1 in nasopharyngeal carcinoma tissues at two regions were 28.57% and 31.82%. The expression between MMP-9 and TIMP-1 were negative relationship either Xi'an or Shenzhen. The expression of MMP-9 was positively correlated to lymph node metastasis, and TIMP-1 was no relationship with lymph node metastasis. The expression of MMP-9 and TIMP-1 was no difference between Xi'an and Shenzhen.
CONCLUSION
The expression of MMP-9 and TIMP-1 in nasopharyngeal carcinoma 2 tissues was no difference between Xi'an and Shenzhen. Increase of MMP-9 play an important role in progression and metastasis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
