2.A clinical comparative study of citalopram augmented with aripiprzole on depression
Chinese Journal of Behavioral Medicine and Brain Science 2009;18(12):1118-1119
Objective To explore the efficacy of low-dose aripiprazole combining with citalopram on the depression. Methods A total 57 patients with depression were randomly assigned to the study group and the control group. Either group was treated with a fixed dose 20 mg citalopram per day, and the study group was simultaneously titrated to low dose (5~10mg/d) of aripiprazole at initiating dose 2.5 mg per day within two weeks. They were evaluated with Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD).Clinical Global Impression (CGI-SI) and Treatment Emergent Symptom Scale(TESS) before treatment and at the end of 1st, 2nd, 4th and 6th week after treatment. The study lasted for 6 weeks. Results HAMD total score of either group were 11.54 ± 5.58 and 16.59 ± 6.67 respectively, which had statistically significant difference between two groups(t = 2.961, P<0.05) at the end of the study. CGI-SI score of either group was 2.12 ± 1.47 vs 3.17 ± 1.63 at treatment termination, which also had statistically significant difference (t = 2.439, P<0.05). There were mild side effects rate and no statistically significant difference between two groups (χ~2 =0.625, P>0.05). TESS scores were not statistically significant difference between two groups at each point of measure. Conclusion The results suggest low dose of aripiprazole augmentation of citalopram may be effective and safe in the treatment of depression.

Chinese Journal of Urology 2009;30(6):397-400
Objective To discuss the diagnosis and outcome of multilocular cystic renal cell car-cinoma. Methods The clinic data of 1 case of multilocular cystic renal cell carcinoma were reviewed with its clinical manifestation, imaging, pathology and therapy in our hospital. The male patient aged 49 was incidentally found to have a right renal tumor. The CT scan showed a multiloeular cystic tumor in the low pole of the right kidney with a clear outline. The thin septa were found in the tumor, which were enhanced in the enhancement CT scan. The enhancement MRI showed the cystic wall was en-hanced. Results The patient received a partial nephrectomy as his treatment. The pathological char-acteristics were as following: the multilocular cystic tumor was about 3 cm×2 cm×2 cm with clear serosity in it. The cystic wall was smooth with the width of 0.1-0.2 cm. Most of the cystic cavities were covered by monostratified or stratified cubic clear cells, and some were covered by squamous epi-thelium or no epithelium at all. The septum was composed of collagen fiber, and clear cells were found in it. The clear cells form small collections but do not form expansile nodules. The final pathological diagnosis was multilocular cystic renal cell carcinoma. The follow-up was 20 months, without local re-currence or distant metastasis was found. Conclusions Multilocular cystic renal cell carcinoma (MCRCC) is a rare variant of renal cell carcinoma with a good prognosis. MCRCC is an uncommon tumor of the kidney composed of multiple cysts with clear cells in the septa indistinguishable from grade I renal cell carcinoma. Most patients are asymptomatie and the tumors are discovered inciden-tally. The preoperative diagnosis of MCRCC immediately depends on imaging studies. Pathology is the key to diagnosis.

Orthopedic Journal of China 2006;0(16):-
[Objective]To study the relationship between the existence and types of mediopatellar plica versus the chondral injury of the medial femoral condyle.[Method]Data were collected retrospectively from the photographic recording of arthroscopies performed from January 2004 to July 2008.Seventy-six knees were found with mediopatellar plica as the study group.Modified Sakakibara classification and the chondral injury(using the Outerbridge classification) of medial femoral condyle were recorded.Eighty knees without mediopatellar plica were randomly collected as controls. The correlation of mediopatellar plica and the cartilage injury on the surface of the medial femoral condyle was investigated.[Result]Patients with mediopatellar plica had a significantly higher incidence rate(89.5%) of medial femoral condyle cartilage lesion,in comparison with patients without mediopatellar plica(61.3%)(P=0.001).In the study group,a 64.3% proportion of the group with Sakakibara A mediopatellar plica was found to have cartilage lesion in the medial femoral condyle. The proportion of the group with Sakakibara BCD mediopatellar plica was found to be 95.2%,significantly higher than that in first group(P=0.004).The severity of cartilage injury in the medial femoral condyle was positively correlated with patient age(r=0.271,P=0.019) and the severity of the pathologic change of the mediopatellar plica(r=0.611,P=0.000).[Conclusion]According to this observation, the cartilage injury in the medial femoral condyle is more commonly found in patients with mediopatellar plica knees.A shelf-like appearance of the medial plica can increase the incidence of the cartilage injury. The severity of cartilage injury was positively correlated with patient age and the severity of the pathologic change of the mediopatellar plica.
