The Journal of Practical Medicine 2015;(7):1132-1134
Objectives To explore the correlation between lipoprotein (a) and left main coronary artery ( LMCA) disease in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS). Methods A total of 264 ACS patients managed with coronary angiography (CAG) from June 2012 to December 2013 were included in the study and then they were divided into 2 groups (high-Lp(a) (> or = 300 mg/L) group (n = 93) and low-Lp(a) (< 300 mg/L)group(n = 171). The clinical data were studied and compared between the two groups. Binary unconditional logistic regression analysis was used to select the risk factors of LMCA disease. Results The percentages of multiple branch lesion (43.0% vs. 25.1%) and LMCA disease (17.2% vs. 8.2%)were higher in the high-Lp(a) group as compared with the low-Lp(a) group (P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed Lp(a) was independent factor of LMCA disease. Conclusions In ACS patients the elevated Lp(a) levels are associated with the severity of coronary disease and Lp(a) is an independent factor of LMCA disease.

AIM: To investigate the effects of Shuguan Capsule on myocardial blood flow (MBF) and myocardial oxygen consumption (MOC) in anesthetized dogs. METHODS: Coronary blood flow (CBF) of twenty-five thoracotomized dogs was detected by electromagnetic flow meter and the MBF was calculated. While the oxygen content in the artery (AO2 ) and in the coronary venous sinus (VO2) was determined with blood oxygen analysis. Moreover, the other cardiac hemodynamic parameters, such as heart rate (HR), femoral arterial blood pressure (BP), were observed by physiological polygraph. RESULTS: It was found that Shuguan Capsule (48.5 mg/kg and 194 mg/kg) could significantly increase the MBF, and then decease the coronary artery resistance. Furthermore, Shuguan Capsule could also lower the AO2, but increase the VO2, which led to the decreased MOC. CONCLUSION: Shuguan Capsule exhibits the effects to keep the balance between blood supply and oxygen consumption in the heart by modulating the coronary resistance and by reducing MOC in dogs.

Objective To evaluate the primary result of proximal femoral nail anti-rotation(PF-NA)in treating osteoporotic intertrochanterie fractures. Methods Between March 2006 and August 2007.PFNA or Gamma nail intemal fixation were performed in 31 patients with osteoporotic intertrochan-tefie fractures.of whom were 19 males and 12 females at a mean age of 75.6 years(45-89 years).Ac-cording to AO classification, there were 8 type A1 fractures,16 type A2 fractures and 7 type A3 fractures.Aeearding to Evans-Jensen classification.18 cases were rated as Evans Ⅱ and 13 as Evans II.AIl frac-tares were closed ones and 6 patients were combined with internal diseases.PFNA was implanted throush a mini-incision without exposure of the fracture section during operation in 12 patients. Results Of all.6 patients received emergency operation,19 did operation within 3 days and 6 waited for selective op-eration(5-7 days)after controlling internal diseases.PFNA had shorter operation time, less hlool loss and shorter union time compared with Gamma nail(P<0.05).No complications such as infection,non-union or loosening of nails were found.According to HarriS hip rate scale system, the excellence rate of PFNA was 83.4%and that of Gamma nail 73.7%. Conclusion PFNA is a good choice to treat osteo-perotie intertrochanteric fractures.owing to its advantages of stable fixation, minor trauma,eaSy opera-tion.short operation time, little bleeding, minor lOSS of selerotin and early exercise.

Aim To study the protective effects of hydroxysafflor yellow A(HSYA) on acute myocardial ischemia in dogs. Methods The acute ischemia models were prepared by ligation of left anterior descending(LAD) artery. The myocardial blood flow(MBF) was determined by ultrasonic doppler, the oxygen metabolism was recorded using blood-oxygen analysis, and the ET was measured with radioimmunological assay. The experiments adopted epicardiogram mapping to measure the scope and the degree of myocardial ischemia, and used quantitative histological assay to determine the size of myocardial infarction. Results HSYA was showed to obviously increase the MBF and the oxygen volume in coronary vein sinus. And the treatment could inhibit the ET release from the injured microvessels.Furthermore,HSYA could alleviate the degree of myocardial ischemia(?-ST),the scope of myocardial ischemia((N-ST),) and narrow the ischemic(area.) Conclusion HSYA was showed to inhibit the ET release, increase the MBF,improve the cardiac oxygen metabolism, and then inhibit the myocardial ischemia damage.

Objective In this study ,we constructed a series of recombinant plasmids carriers expressing shRNA targeting hTERT and Bi‐1 gene .These recombinant plasmids carriers were transfected into CNE‐2Z cell lines using Lip and continuously in‐duced the expression of shRNAs .Furthermore ,the shRNAs caused the degradation of mRNAs homologous in sequence with the target genes ,which lead to a sequence‐specific gene silencing .Methods The CNE‐2Z cells was divided into untreated group ,pEG‐FP‐N1 group and pEGFP‐N1/Lip group .Flow cytometry(FCM ) was applied to determine the transfection efficiency .The changes of hTERT and Bi‐1 gene expression were detected by Real‐time RT‐PCR and Western blotting .Results The best transfection effi‐ciency between plasmid and Lip was 2 .5 μg plasmid and 6 .25μL Lip .Conclusion We constructed several shRNA recombinant eu‐karyotic expression plasmids successfully .The recombinant plasmid can inhibit the expression of hTERT and Bi‐1 gene specifically and effectively .

Objective:To compare the therapeutic and adverse effects of concurrent raltitrexed plus oxaliplatin and radiotherapy with those of PF synchronous radiotherapy in the treatment of advanced esophageal cancer. Methods:A total of 84 pathologically con-firmed patients with advanced esophageal carcinoma were randomly distributed to the concurrent raltitrexed plus oxaliplatin and ra-diotherapy group (experimental group, n=40) and to the PF synchronous radiotherapy group (control group, n=44). All patients were treated with 3DCRT at a total dose of 60 Gy/30f. The chemotherapy in the experimental group consists of raltitrexed at 2.5 mg/m2, d1, plus oxaliplatin at 130 mg/m2, d2. The chemotherapy of the control group consists of DDP at 25 mg/m2, Dd1-3, plus 5-FU 500 mg/m2, d1-5. Two cycles of concurrent chemotherapy were administered during radiotherapy on d1 and d29. The comparison results were used to estimate the therapeutic and adverse effects of the two groups. Results:The rerponse rate, complete response, and one-year overall survival rate of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group [(87.50%vs. 79.54%, P=0.3293), (32.50%vs. 18.18%, P=0.13), and (82.50%vs. 79.50%, P=0.701)], but the difference was not statistically significant. The incidence rates of nau-sea and vomiting, appetite degression, leucopenia, radiation-induced esophagitis, and cardiotoxicity were significantly lower (P<0.05) in the experimental group than in the control group. Other adverse effects of the two groups were similar (P>0.05). Conclusion:Simi-lar to PF chemotherapy and radiotherapy, the concurrent raltitrexed plus oxaliplatin and radiotherapy achieved a similar short-term therapeutic effect but lower adverse effects on patients with esophageal cancer.
