1.Progress on relations of microRNAs and anti-apoptotic mechanisms of cerebral ischemia postconditioning
Chinese Journal of Biochemical Pharmaceutics 2015;(8):182-185,188
Ischemic preadaptation and ischemic postconditioning are the self-protection mechanism of the body, can reduce blood anoxic injury of brain tissue, inhibit nerve cell apoptosis, and reduce infarction area. However, due to the time of occurrence of ischemic disease is unpredictable, ischemic postconditioning research to guide clinical work more operational and practical, and thus become the focus of research. Apoptosis of programmed cell death is widespread in the process of biological life and has a close relationship with jak2/stat3/bcl-2 signaling pathway, PI3K/AKT signaling pathways and apoptotic molecules.microRNA as a class of highly conserved non-coding small RNA, its transcriptional expression involved in regulating cell value, development and apoptosis in a series of life activities.

Objective:To study the curative efficacy of wenxin granule combined with propafenone in the treatment of arrhythmia and its effects on the serum levels ofhs-CRP,TNF-α,IL-6 and heart function.Methods:96 patients of arrhythmia who were treated from July 2014 to October 2016 in our hospital were selected and randomly divided into the observation group (n=48) and the control group (n=48).The control group was treated with propafenone, while the observation group was treated with wenxin granuleon. Then the serum levels of hs-CRP,TNF-α and IL-6,heart function, clinical efficacy and incidence of adverse reactions were observed and compared between the two groups before and after the treatment. Results:After treatment, the total effective rate of observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05).The serum levels of hs-CRP,TNF-α and IL-6 of observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group (P<0.05);the left ventricular end diastolic dimension (LVEDD) and left ventricular end systolic diameter (LVESD) of observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group, and the left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) was significantly higher than that of control group(P<0.05);the incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion:Wenxin granule combined with propafenone was effective for arrhythmia,it could effectively improve the heart function and high safety, which might be related to the decrease of serum hs-CRP,TNF-and IL-6 levels.

Objective:
To investigate the current status of depression and anxiety among female staff in a maternal and child health hospital, and to provide a basis for developing related prevention and intervention measures and promoting the mental health of female staff.
Methods:
The female staff from a provincial maternal and child health hospital completed a psycho-health questionnaire survey on Internet from June to October, 2016. The questionnaires used in the survey consisted of Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9) , Generalized Anxiety Disorder Scale (GAD-7) , and Symptom Checklist-90 (SCL-90) . The distribution features of mental health problems such as depression and anxiety were analyzed according to the
results:
of the questionnaire survey. Results Of all female staff surveyed, 42.04% showed depression symptoms, 28.90% showed anxiety symptoms, and 26.12% showed comorbid symptoms of depression and anxiety. Moderate or severe depression (anxiety) was mainly distributed among the female staff with comorbid symptoms (90.63% and 97.01%, respectively) . There were significant differences in the distribution of moderate or severe anxiety symptoms between the medical staff and nursing staff (χ2= 5.81,

Objective:
To investigate the current status of reproductive health among the female medical staff in a provincial maternal and child health hospital and analyze the occupational influencing factors for reproductive health, particularly the effects of high-intensity work, work shift, chemical poisons, and physical and biological factors on reproductive health, and to provide a scientific basis for developing related intervention measures and promoting the reproductive health of professional females.
Methods:
A reproductive health questionnaire was designed in terms of age, type of work, professional title, education level, working hours, working strength, and the reproductive health of female staff to analyze the current status of reproductive health, working strength, and occupational hazardous factors. The female medical staff in the provincial maternal and child health hospital completed the questionnaire on the internal network of the hospital voluntarily.
Results:
Of all respondents, 19.46% had a history of miscarriage, 5.90% visited the hospital due to infertility, 21.31% had irregular menstruation within the last 3 months, and 30.57% had reproductive system disease; 72.28% of the investigated medical staff often worked at night, 47.25% often worked overtime (more than 3 days a week) , and 22.27% worked over 8 hours daily. The respondents who often worked overtime had a significantly higher prevalence of reproductive system disease than those who did not often work overtime (χ2= 58.65,

Objective To investigate the characteristics and prognostic value of cellular immune function in severe patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Methods A cohort study was conducted to collect the clinical data of 119 severe patients admitted to the Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University (Eastern District) including 60 males (50.4%) and 59 females (49.6%), with an average age of 60.9±14.2 years. The primary endpoint of follow-up was death in the hospital, and the disease outcome classification was the secondary endpoint of follow-up within 30 days after admission. We analyzed the correlation between cellular immune function and COVID-19 prognosis. Results A total of 22 patients died during this process, and 47 patients were severe/critical during the follow-up period. The counts of CD3+, CD4+, CD8+, and CD19+ in the primary endpoint events were significantly different between the survival group and the death group (all P<0.05). The counts of CD3+, CD4+, CD8+, CD19+ in the secondary endpoint events were significantly different between the normal group and the severe/critical group (all P<0.05). The results of the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve showed that the area under the cellular immune function curve of dead patients and severe/critical patients had good predictive value (all P<0.05). Conclusion Cell immune function has good clinical and prognostic value for COVID-19.

Medicinal plants are a valuable source of essential medicines and herbal products for healthcare and disease therapy. Compared with chemical synthesis and extraction, the biosynthesis of natural products is a very promising alternative for the successful conservation of medicinal plants, and its rapid development will greatly facilitate the conservation and sustainable utilization of medicinal plants. Here, we summarize the advances in strategies and methods concerning the biosynthesis and production of natural products of medicinal plants. The strategies and methods mainly include genetic engineering, plant cell culture engineering, metabolic engineering, and synthetic biology based on multiple "OMICS" technologies, with paradigms for the biosynthesis of terpenoids and alkaloids. We also highlight the biosynthetic approaches and discuss progress in the production of some valuable natural products, exemplifying compounds such as vindoline (alkaloid), artemisinin and paclitaxel (terpenoids), to illustrate the power of biotechnology in medicinal plants.
