Journal of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2017;34(5):681-683
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of plum-blossom needling combined with Deanxit for the treatment of depression or anxiety in chronic tension headache patients. Methods Sixty chronic tension headache patients with depression and/or anxiety were randomized into treatment group and control group , 30 cases in each group. The treatment group was treated by plum-blossom needling combined with oral use of Deanxit , and the control group was treated only by oral use of Deanxit. After treatment for 4 weeks , the scores of headache symptom, Hamilton Depressive Scale (HAMD), and Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA) of the two groups were observed. Results After treatment , the scores of headache symptom , HAMA and HAMD in all patients were decreased (P < 0 . 05 compared with those before treatment), and the decrease in the treatment group was obviously superior to that in the control group, the difference being significant between the two groups (P <0.05). Conclusion Plum-blossom needling combined with Deanxit shows better effect than Deanxit for the treatment of depression or anxiety in chronic tension headache patients.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2001;0(02):-
Objective To investigate the biocompatibility between collagen- polyglycolic acid (PGA) and bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) in vitro to provide some experimental basis for further study in tendon tissue engineering. Methods MSCs were isolated, cultured and characterized. In the experimental group the MSCs were cultured in DMEM containing type-I collagen and PGA suture, and in the control group the MSCs were cultured in DMEM. The cell growth was compared between the two groups, and the cell ultramicroscopic structure of experimental group was observed. Results MSCs grew well in the collagen-PGA scaffold, and 2 weeks after incubation they still kept secretion potential and more than cell 89% vitality, which were not significantly different compared with the control group. There is no statistical difference in the MSCs count in the experimental group during 2 weeks culture, while in the control group MSCs began to proliferate at the 4th day after culture. Conclusion Collagen-PGA has a good biocompatibility with mesenchymal stem cells. It is possible to fabricate a tissue-engineered tendon in vitro using mesenchymal stem cells as seed cells and collagen-PGA as scaffold.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2001;0(05):-
Objective To discuss the effect of nicotine on the growth of rabbit tendon cells.Method 1% concetration Nicotine(0 5ml/kg) was injected into rabbit's auditive vein, then femoral vein blood was extracted at 3 minutes later. Separating blood serum and add it into F-12 medium and 10% fetal bull serum, penicillin, streptomycin, vitC which was then used to culture rabbit tendon cells, observating the time of cell number growth duplication of test group and drawn up its growth curve. The control group was treated as the test group except the rabbit was not injected by nicotine. Results The time of cell number growth duplication of test group was 9?2 1 days and the control group was 7?1 1 days, there was difference significatly between the two groups. Conclusion Nicotine can restrain the growth of rabbit tendon cells and enhance tendon's adhesiveness in post-operation.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2001;0(08):-
50%),including 22 complicated with hypertension cases were retrospectively analyzed and statistics their fluid infusion volume, serum albumin levels serum sodium, blood sugar and general infections conditions were summarized, and compared with non-hypertension cases. Results The difference of fluid infusion volume between them was no significance in statistics. The difference of serum Na +,blood sugar, serum albumin levels between them was significant. All of 22 cases of hypertension had toxemia symptom,12 of 22 cases in control group occured toxemia symptom, morbidity peak of hypertension was accorded with infection morbidity peak. Conclusions General infection after burns could play an important role during the happening of hypertension after burns. We should pay more attention to the therapy of infection in treatment period.

Journal of Third Military Medical University 2003;0(13):-
Objective To investigate the effects of 17?-estradiol (E2) on the gene expression of typeⅠA bone morphogenetic protein receptor (BMPR-ⅠA) and core-binding factor alpha 1 (Cbf?1) in rat bone marrow stromal cells exposed to the differentiation medium and to elucidate the effects of E2 on osteoblastogenesis. Methods Adherent bone marrow stromal cells were cultured in differentiation medium containing DEX (10 -7 mol/L), 1,25-(OH)2D3 (10 -9 mol/L) and different concentrations of E2. Effects of different concentrations of E2 on the gene expression of BMPR-ⅠA and Cbf?1 was quantified by RT-PCR based on the comparison with an internal reference, ?-actin expression, and identified by Northern blotting. Alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity of cells was detected. Contents of type Ⅰ collagen were determined by Van Gieson staining. Results E2 could evidently inhibit the expression of BMPR-ⅠA and Cbf?1 mRNA during the differentiation process of bone marrow stromal cells into osteoblasts in a dose-dependent manner. These were confirmed by Northern blotting. The ALP activity increased in a concentration-dependent manner, but the amount of type Ⅰ collagen decreased in a concentration-dependent manner. Conclusion E2 can significantly inhibit the gene expression of BMPR-ⅠA and Cbf?1 in bone marrow stromal cells and inhibit osteoblastogenesis in vitro.

[ ABSTRACT ] AIM: To investigate the molecular mechanisms of cytotoxicity induced by dihydroartemisinin ( DHA) in non-small cell lung cancer ( NSCLC) cells.METHODS:NSCLC cell lines A549 and NCI-H1650 were treated with various concentrations of DHA for indicated time.Subsequently, the effects of DHA on the cell activity, colony forma-tion ability and apoptosis were determined by MTT assay, colony formation assay, Annexin V-FITC/PI staining and flow cy-tometry, respectively. At the same time, the effects of DHA on glucose, ATP and lactate levels were assessed, and the PI3K pathway activation and glucose transporter 2 ( GLUT2) expression were detected by Western blot in the A549 cells and NCI-H1650 cells.Overexpression of GLUT2 and Rheb was established in A549 and NCI-H1650 cells by transfection with GST-GLUT2 and GST-Rheb plasmids, respectively, and the effects of DHA on cell activity, apoptosis, glucose level, ATP content and PI3K pathway activation were analyzed in A549 cells and NCI-H1650 cells. The effect of glucose depriva-tion on the cytotoxicity triggered by DHA in NSCLC cells was also determined.RESULTS:Compared with control group, DHA significantly inhibited cell activity and colony formation ability, and induced remarkable cell apoptosis in the A549 cells and NCI-H1650 cells. At the same time, DHA reduced ATP and lactate contents, and hindered glucose uptake in a time-and dose-dependent manner in A549 cells and NCI-H1650 cells. The activity of PI3K pathway and GLUT2 expression were downregulated, while upregulated GLUT2 expression and activated PI3K pathway reduced the cytotoxicity induced by DHA in NSCLC cells.Glucose deprivation increased DHA-mediated cytotoxicity in NSCLC cells. On the contrary, high levels of glucose inhibited DHA-mediated cytotoxicity in NSCLC cells.CONCLUSION: DHA restrains cell activity and colony formation, and induces apoptosis.DHA induces cytotoxicity via inhibiting PI3K pathway activation and GLUT2 ex-pression, leading to inhibit glycolytic metabolism in NSCLC cells.
