Objective To investigate the difference between the self-evaluation of patients with dental and facial esthetics in skeletal malocclusion and normal persons. Methods The subjects were divided into three groups:62 patients with skeletal Class Ⅱ,84 patients with skeletal Class Ⅲ,as well as 130 persons in control group. There was no obvious difference in gender and age among the three groups.Happiness with dental and facial appearance was assessed using questionnaires.Analysis of variance, linear regression and logistic regression were used for statistical analysis. Results Skeletal malocclusion patients were less happy with their dental appearance than control group.Class Ⅱ patients and women had lower happiness scores for their dental appearance.Among skeletal malocclusion patients, the shape (44.5 %) and prominence of their teeth (17.8 %) were the most frequent causes of concern.Older subjects, women, and skeletal malocclusion patients were less happy with their facial appearance. Most of them were dissatisfied with the facial appearance focused on the chin (53 %),facial contours (37 %),and the position of the teeth when smiling (33 %).A greater proportion of Class Ⅲ subjects than Class Ⅱ subjects wished to change their appearance. Conclusions The findings indicate that women and skeletal malocclusion patients have lower levels of happiness with their dentofacial appearance.Although Class Ⅱ patients exhibit the lowest levels of happiness with their dental appearance, there is some evidence that concerns and awareness about their facial profile are more pronounced among the Class Ⅲ patients.

OBJECTIVE:To optimize the management of drug inventory so as to reduce days of drug turnover. METHODS:Depending on the information management system of the hospital, the method of quality control circle was used to analyze the rea-sons of long days of drug turnover, corresponding measures for continuous improvement were developed, and the effects of the ac-tivities in the quality control circle were evaluated on the basis of the rate of achieving the goal and the growth rate of circle mem-bers. RESULTS:In the activities of the quality control circle, based on the factors such as personnel, drugs and the method,corre-sponding measures were developed in respect of permanent applicants for drugs, the upper and lower limits of drugs to be gotten by the applicant, the increase in the frequency of purchase,“zero inventory”management for part of drugs, and the optimization of the generation program of purchase orders, where the percentage of the drugs with the turnover days within 15 d was increased from 72% to over 85%,the rate of achieving the goal was 107.9%. All the circle members significantly grew as to the application of the method of quality control circle, sense of responsibility, initiative, team spirit, communication and coordination, with growth rate of 12%-28%. CONCLUSIONS:The activities of the quality control circle have achieved a good effect in optimizing the drug inventory management of our hospital and increased the percentage of the drugs with the turnover days within 15 d.

International Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2010;33(5):-
As one of the most important strategies of no drug therapy, biomaterials have drawn extensive application in clinical use.Current animal tests and assays of cell level haven't reached the satisfying depth on the mechanism of biocompatibility and material-host interaction. As the typical method of post-genome era, proteomics contributed to investigation in the biomarker of diseases and the global theory of physiological function and drug effect.Along with the increase of the inquiry of biomaterial, high quality evaluation of bio-effects and the reliability is required.Utilizing proteomic method to study the dynamic variation of the whole proteins after contacting with certain biomaterial is an effective means to explore the direction of its further improvement. This review summarizes most representative studies on function and biocompatibility of biomaterials and focus on the application in dental implant materials, which indicate the significance of the combination of the biomaterials development and the progressive biology assay technique.

Objective To comparison between radiofrequency ablation introduced by tri-dimension reconstruction and ultrasound and operation for the treatment of small hepatocellular carcinoma. Methods 94 patients with small hepatocellular carcinoma from Jan 2009 to Mar 25 in Shanxi Cancer Hospital were analyzed. 45 patients were both given CT examination to rebuild tri-dimension and radiofrequency ablation treatment. 49 patients were given excision. Both groups were given CT examination to rebuild tri-dimension before the treatment. The differences in recurrence rate, overall survival and complication ratio between the two groups were compared. Results After 1, 2 and 3 years radiofrequency ablation treatment, the survival rate in radiofrequency ablation group were 95.56 % (43/45), 86.67 % (39/45), 60.00 % (27/45) respectively, comparing with 93.88%(46/49), 79.60%(39/49), 59.20%(29/49) in operation group. The difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05). There was no statistical significance in 1-year, 2-year and 3-year recurrence rates between the two groups (P> 0.05). There were statistical significances in incidence of post-treatment pains [13.33%(6/45) vs 100.00%(49/49),χ2=60.416, P<0.05] and complication (P<0.05) between the two groups. By Mar 25th, 2015, there was no needle tract implantation in the patients with radiofrequency ablation treatment. Conclusions For the small hepatocellular carcinoma with less than 3cm in diameter, introduced by CT tri-dimension image reconstruction and ultrasound, the radiofrequency ablation treatment excels in effect with fewer damages, infective complications, lower cost and can be applied many times. The overall effect is close to surgical removal, and therefore it can be used as the first line therapy for small hepatocellular carcinoma.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2003;9(12):722-724
Objective To investigate the effect of regional captopril infusion on ischemia-reperfusion (I-R) injury of spinal cord in rabbits. Methods 32 rabbits were divided randomly into four groups, the group A (sham operated, no I-R injury), the group B (control group, only with I-R injury), the group C (I-R injury + intra-aortic infusion of hypothermic normal saline), and the group D (I-R injury + infusion of normal saline plus 4mg/kg captopril). Spinal cord ischemia was induced by clamping the aorta both below the left renal artery and above the aortic bifurcation. Hemodynamic data were measured in every group. The spinal cord function was assessed 24, 48 and 96 hours after aortic declamping according to Tarlov's Scale. Spinal cords were harvested for histological analysis. Results There were no significant differences in blood pressure and heart rate among four groups. The neurological status in the groups C and D was significantly superior to that of the group B (P<0.01). In the group B, all animals were paraplegic with Tarlov's Scale of 0 or 1. Three of 8 animals in the group C were paraplegic with Tarlov's Scale of 0 or 1, and only one animal in the group D. Compared to the group B, there were more normal neurons in the anterior horn of spinal cords in the groups C and D (P<0.01). Conclusion Regional infusion of hypothermic normal saline contained captopril can provide sufficient spinal cord protection against ischemia.
