ObjectiveTo détect in the tissue of primary bronchogenic carcinoma(PBC) and discuss its significance. Methods was assessed by immunohistochemical method ot SP in paraffin tissue sections of 40 PBC and paratumor normal lung tissue. Results The positive rate of TNF-a in cytoplasm of carcinoma cells was 47.5 % (19/40), and it was not found in all paratumor normal lung tissue(P< 0.05). ConclusionTNF-a gene expressed in some patients with broncho genic carcinoma. The growth of bronchogenic carcinoma is related to TNF-a gene.

At the concentrations of 10-8mol/L, 5.5?l0-8mol/L, 10-7mol/L morphine produced a dose-dependent increase of beating rate in cultured rat heart cells with 9%,32%and 81% respectively. The increase was antagonized by opiate antagonist naloxone ( 10-5mol/L ) , but not affected by propranolol ( 10-5mol/L ) which could cancel the positive chronotropy of isoprenaline ( 10-9mol/L ) on the beating cells. The results support the concept that morphine may be a direct effect on myocadium, perhaps through opiate receptors.

Objective To evaluate clinical effects of using axonal repair technique (cell surgery) for the treatment of peripheral nerve injuries. Methods 12 patients with 13 injured peripheral nerves were treated with axonal repair technique of soaking the stumps of the nerve in a modified Collins fluid, freezing the stumps with liquid nitrogen, trimming the solidified stumps with a sharp blade, coapting the nerve with glue and two stitches of epineurium, so that the injured peripheral nerves were repaired at the axonal level. The postoperative evaluation was performed at an average of 9.7 months. Results In four of 12 cases operated upon with contralateral C 7 nerve root transfer(C 7 to ulnar nerve), regenerating axons had reached to the ipsilateral sternoclavicular joint or axilla at postoperative 4-7 months, so that the second stage of contralateral C7 nerve root transfer procedure could be performed. In five cases of which the accessory nerves were transferred to suprascapular nerves, the strength of supra-and infraspinatus of 3 patients had recovered to MRC 3-4 at postoperative 16 months, and that of the other two, to MRC 1-2 at 12 months. In one case undergoing the second stage procedure of contralateral C 7 nerve root transfer (ulnar nerve to median nerve), the flexor carpi radialis showed some nerve regeneration shown in EMG at postoperative 4 months. In one case of which phrenic nerve was transferred to the musculocutaneous nerve (the nerve graft 8 cm), the biceps showed some nerves regeneration shown in the EMG 15 months postoperatively. In one patient for whom two digital nerves were repaired, the protective sensation had recovered 3 months postoperatively. Conclusion Axonal repair technique is an effective and practical way for the treatment of peripheral nerve injury.

Objective To explore the epidemic conditions of rheumatic fever (RF) with a simple method at some regions.Methods Antistreptococcal DNase B test microtiter method was adopted to detect human sera antibody in natural populations who are responsible to RF.All 216 schoolchildren aged 10～12 years old were chose by the random cluster sampling.The schoolchildren′s serum antibody against DNase B in each season from september 1988 to August 1989 was detected,and compared with antistreptolysin “O” (ASO);furthermore,5 different regional schoolchildren′s serum antibody to DNase B was tested, and 100 schoolchildren aged 10～13 years old were chose in every region.Meanwhile,the RF incidence of 5～18 year schoolchildren was investigated for 4 years,and approximately 364 915 person times were inquired.All the results of the anti DNase B and ASO were compared with the schoolchildren′s RF incidence.Results ① The levels of the anti DNase B were higher during fall,winter and spring seasons,and lower in summer,which were coincided with the RF incidence,and linear relation was very good ( r =0 913, P

Objective To investigate the clinical effect and security of spraying Zhikang Capsules guided by gastroscopy in treatment elderly upper gastrointestinal bleeding.Methods Eighty-four elderly gastric duodenal ulcer bleeding patients were randomly assigned to group A,B and C (n =28 for each group).Patients in group A were used noradrenalin to spray with gastroscopy,in group B were used thrombin and in group C were used Zhikang Capsules.The total effective,the immediate homeostasis rate,the incidence of rebleeding,the emergency operation rate and the incidence of adverse reaction were recorded and analyzed.Results Total effective rate of group C was 96.4％ (27/28),significantly higher than that in group A (71.4％,20/28),B (75.0％,21/28) and the difference was significant(P＜0.05).The incidence of rebleeding in group A,B,C were 28.6％ (8/28),17.9％ (6/28),3.6％ (1/28) respectively,and the difference was significant (P ＜0.05).The same trend was seen regarding of the incidence of adverse reaction among three groups (25.0％,7/28;10.7％,3/28;0,0/28;P＜0.05).Conclusion Spraying Zhikang Capsules guided by gastroscopy is showed with good therapeutic effect in treating elderly upper gastrointestinal bleeding and high safety,and with less adverse reaction.

Objective To study the changes of corneal sensitivity in diabetic and nondiabetic subjects after phacoemulsification. Methods This trial involved 42 diabetic subjects(42eyes)and 46 nondiabetic subjects(46 eyes)with cataract.All eyes were underwent phacoemulsification.Corneal sensitivities were tested before surgery and 1 day,1 week,1 month,3 month,6 month after surgery.Results The corneal sensitivity of diabetic subjects was greatly reduced at 1 day,1 week,1 month,3 month after surgery(P＜0.05),and returned to the preoperative values at 6 month(P＞0.05).The corneal sensitivity of nondiabetic subjects was reduced at 1 day,1 week,1 month af- ter surgery(P＜0.05),and returned to the preoperative values at 3 month(P＞0.05).The corneal sensitivity of diabetic subjects was lower than nondiabetic subjects before surgery(P＜0.05).The reduced range of corneal sensitivity in diabetic subjects was greater than that of nondiabetic subjects(P＜0.05).Conclusions The corneal sensitivity is decreased and the recovery is postponed after poacoemul- sification in diabetic subjects.

Objective To investigate the correlation between cerebral microbleed (CMB) and hemorrhage transformation (HT) after urokinase intra-arterial thrombolysis in patients with acute ischemic stroke.Methods The patients with acute cerebral infarction treated with intra-arterial urokinase were enrolled.They were divided into either an HT group or a non-HT goup according to whether they had HT or not.Conventional MRI sequences,susceptibility-weighted imaging (SWI),and CT scan were performed before procedure.CT or MRI was reexamined within 48 hours after procedure.The patients' demographic data,vascular risk factors,and the SWI sequences showed the numbers of CMB were documented in detail and they were compared and analyzed.Results A total of 62 patients were included,22 in HT group and 40 in non-HT group.Univariate analysis showed that the proportions of hypertension (81.8％ vs.57.5％ ; x2 =3.125,P =0.048),diabetes (63.6％ vs.40.0％ ; x2 =4.019,P =0.042),smoking (72.7％ vs.37.5％ ; x2 =4.971,P =0.030),and presence of CMB (x2 =5.297,P =0.018) of patients in the HT group were significantly higher than those in the non-HT group.Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that hypertension (odds ratio [OR]1.51,95％ confidence interval [CI]1.102-2.954; P =0.028),diabetes (OR 1.48,95％ CI 1.09-2.825; P =0.039),and CMB (OR 1.867,95％ CI 1.103-3.158; P =0.020) were the independent risk factors for HT after urokinase intra-arterial thrombolysis in patients with acute ischemic stroke.Conclusions CMB was one of the independent risk factors for occurring HT after urokinase intra-arterial thrombolysis in patients with acute ischemic stroke.

Objective: To study the effects of rapid eye movement sleep (REMS) deprivation on active behavior and the expression of mRNA coding for inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) of hypothalamus in rats. Methods: The flower pot technique was adopted to deprive the REMS of Sprague Dawley rats for 24 h, 48 h and 72 h respectively. The active behavior of rats were examined by the open field test (OFT). The expression of mRNA coding for iNOS of hypothalamus in rats was assayed by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT PCR). Results: The OFT scores were significantly increased in rats subjected to 24 h and 48 h REMS deprivation ( P 0.05).
