Objective: This paper investigates Shenmai Injection’s effect on the cellular immunity of patients with acute exacerbated chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD). Methods: 92 cases of AECOPD patients are randomly divided into two groups----control group and treatment group, each with 46 patients. Patients in the two groups are given the same treatment such as anti-inflammatory, astiasthmatic, eliminating phlegm, inhale oxygen. Based on conventional treatment, the treatment group dissolves 40mL of Shenmai Injection in 250mL of injection glucose (5%). Such solution is dripped in vein continuously for two courses of treatment, with ten drops for a course of treatment and once a drop. Indexes of CD+3, CD+4, CD+8of peripheral blood T lymphocyte subsets and ratio of CD+4/CD+8 are tested before two weeks and after two weeks of the treatment, in order to discuss the effect of Shenmai Injection on the cellular immunity of patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Results: After two weeks' treatment, the indexes of CD+3, CD+4 raise up, the indexes of CD+8 go down, and the ratio of CD4+/CD8+ increases. In contrast, there is a significant difference for the patients before the treatment; So is the same with Indexes of CD+3, CD4+, CD8+ and ratio of CD+4/CD+8 to the patients in the treatment group and those in the control group after two weeks. Conclusion: Shenmai Injection can improve the AECOPD patient’s cellular immunity.

Objective To investigate the differences of measurement of gross target volume (GTV)between endoscopic ultrasonography ( EUS )-based ( GTVEUS ) and computed tomography ( CT ) -based (GTVCT) method for thoracic esophageal squamous cell carcinoma. Methods EUS was performed on 36consecutive patients with thoracic squamous cell carcinoma, and the superior and inferior boarders of the tumor defined by EUS were marked with hemoclips. The CT planning scan was then performed with the patient in supine position, and the GTVCT and GTVEUS were contoured respectively. The lengths ( LCT and LEUS) and spatial locations of longitudinal GTVCT and GTVEUS were compared. Results The mean LCT and LEUS were (7. 79 ± 3. 15 ) cm and (7. 42 ± 2. 72) cm, respectively ( t = 0. 82, P > 0. 05 ), with a correlation coefficient of 0. 61 (P <0. 001 ). Locations of longitudinal GTVCT and GTVEUS were compared in 34cases, with 2 excluded for invisualization on CT. The mean conformal index (CI) was (0. 79 ± 0. 18 ), and spatial variations were found in 71% patients, with 8 patients at proximal end and 21 others at distal end. There was no clip placement associated complication. Conclusion Endoscopic hemoclips placement is safe and reliable. EUS can provide additional information to CT in defining longitudinal GTV in thoracic esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, especially in superficial and submucosal carcinomas.

Journal of Southern Medical University 2012;32(4):502-506
OBJECTIVETo amplify mouse prostate stem cell antigen (mPSCA) gene and construct a recombinant plasmid to obtain mPSCA protein and identify its antigenicity.
METHODSThe gene of mPSCA was amplified by RT-PCR from mouse prostate cancer cell line RM-1 with the signal peptide sequence removed. The PCR product was cloned into pET-42a prokaryotic expression vector to construct the recombinant plasmid pET-42a-mPSCA, which was transformed into BL21 (DE3) for mPSCA expression. The fusion protein was purified and identified by SDS-PAGE and Western blotting. The antigenicity of the purified protein was characterized by ELISA.
RESULTSThe mPSCA gene was obtained with an identical sequence to that retrieved in GenBank. The prokaryotic expression vector for mPSCA was successfully constructed as confirmed by enzyme digestion and DNA sequencing. Both Western blotting and ELISA demonstrated the antigenicity of the purified mPSCA protein.
CONCLUSIONThe purified mPSCA obtained possesses good antigenicity, which will facilitate further study of immunotherapy for prostate cancer targeting PSCA.

Chinese Journal of School Health 2019;40(12):1828-1830
Objective:
To understand the smoking of college students in Guizhou Province and to explore associated factors for better prevention and control of smoking behavior.
Methods:
A multi-stage stratified random sampling method was used to describe the current smoking situation of college students. And 2 451 college students of different majors and grades from three cities with high, medium and low economic development levels were selected. Besides, we used multivariate logistic regression analysis to analyze the major factors affecting current smoking.
Results:
Ever smoking rate of college students in Guizhou Province was 50.8%, the peak age of first smoking attempt was 8-13(35.2%); current smoking rate of college students in Guizhou Province was 20.8%. Logistic regression analysis showed that male, upper grade, monthly living expenses of not less than 1 000 yuan, single parents, family smoking and peer smoking were the main risk factors affecting college students’ smoking(OR=5.52,1.44,1.48,1.69,1.47,1.88,P<0.05).
Conclusion
College students in Guizhou Province have a higher rate of smoking attempt and low rate of current smoking, as well as low tobacco dependence which is determined by multiple factors. Tobacco hazard education, mental health education and living environment intervention for college students may help reduce the probabitity for tobacco use.
