Objective To observe the feasibility of cardiac MR tissue tracking(CMR-TT)technique for quantitatively evaluating myocardial strain of patients with myocardial amyloidosis(CA).Methods Cardiac MRI were collected from 20 patients of immunoglobulin amyloid light-chain CA(AL-CA,group A),20 cases of transthyretin CA(ATTR-CA,group B)and 20 healthy subjects(group C),and myocardial strain parameters were obtained using CMR-TT technique.Left ventricular cardiac function parameters were compared among 3 groups,so were strain parameters of each myocardial segment of left ventricle and global myocardium,including 3D longitudinal strain(LS),3D radial strain(RS)and 3D circumferential strain(CS).Results Compared with those in group C,significant differences of left ventricular cardiac function parameters were found in both group A and B(all P＜0.01),while no statistical difference was found between group A and B(all P＞0.05).Except for apical segment RS(P=0.81),strain parameters in group A and B were both lower than those in group C(all P＜0.01),while no significant difference was detected between group A and B(all P＞0.05).Conclusion CMR-TT technique could be used to quantitatively evaluate left ventricular myocardial strain of CA patients.

Pancreatogenic diabetes is a type of diabetes secondary to pancreatic exocrine disease,and it was officially named by American Diabetes Association in 2014.Chronic pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer are the most common causes of pancreatogenic diabetes.The pathogenesis of this disease remains unclear,and there is still a lack of systematic treatment regimens,which leads to the extremely high misdiagnosis rate of pancreatogenic diabetes in China and globally.In addition,studies have shown that compared with patients with type 2 diabetes,patients with pancreatogenic diabetes tend to have higher risks of death and readmission,which brings great challenges to the health and clinical treatment of patients.Therefore,the comprehensive understanding and early accurate identification and diagnosis of pancreatogenic diabetes are of great significance in reducing the disability and mortality rates of this disease.This article elaborates on the possible pathogenesis of pancreatogenic diabetes.

Objective To develop a 3D V-Net deep learning segmentation model based on multi-center data,and to evaluate its value for automatic segmentation of prostate on T2WI and apparent diffusion coefficient(ADC)maps.Methods Totally 2 894 sets of multi-parametric MRI data of 2 673 patients with clinically suspected prostate cancer from 3 medical centers within 1 month before biopsy were retrospectively collected.Finally 5 974 sets axial images were enrolled,including 3 654 sets of T2WI and 2 320 sets of ADC maps.Prostate contours were manually annotated layer by layer on axial T2WI and ADC maps,and the left-to-right,anterior-to-posterior,superior-to-inferior diameters and volume of prostate were measured and taken as reference standards.The images were divided into training set(n=4 780,including 2 907 sets of T2WI and 1 873 sets of ADC map),verification set(n=601,including 384 sets of T2WI and 217 sets of ADC map)and test set(n=593,including 363 sets of T2WI and 230 sets of ADC map)at the ratio of 8:1:1.After preprocessing and augmentation,3D V-Net was used to construct and train the segmentation model based on training and verification sets,and the segmentation performance of the model was evaluated in test set using Dice similarity coefficient(DSC),Jaccard coefficient(JACARD)and volume similarity(VS),respectively.The parameters measured with the model were compared with the reference standards,and the correlations were explored.Results Compared with the corresponding ADC maps,DSC,JACARD and VS of the model for automatic segmentation of prostate on T2WI in test set were all higher(all P＜0.001).The left-to-right,anterior-to-posterior and superior-to-inferior diameters of prostate measured with the model on both T2WI and ADC maps were all larger than the reference standards(all P＜0.001),while no significant difference of the volume was found(both P＞0.05).All parameters measured with the model on T2WI and ADC maps were positively correlated with reference standards(rs=0.794-0.985).Conclusion 3D V-Net deep learning model could automatically segment prostate on T2WI and ADC maps with high accuracy,and its efficiency based on T2WI was better than that based on ADC maps.

Hepatocellular carcinoma （HCC） is one of the common malignant tumors of the digestive tract and seriously threatens the life of patients due to a high incidence rate， a high degree of malignancy， strong invasion and metastasis， and poor prognosis. At present， the main methods for the prevention and treatment of HCC include drugs， surgery， and interventional treatment， but all of these methods have certain adverse reactions and side effects. As an important intracellular signal transduction pathway in the human body， the JAK/STAT signaling pathway mainly exerts an anti-HCC effect by regulating cell invasion， metastasis， proliferation， growth， apoptosis， autophagy， angiogenesis， inflammation/immune response， iron metabolism， and drug resistance. Therefore， targeting the JAK/STAT signaling pathway plays an important role in the prevention and treatment of the development and progression of HCC. Traditional Chinese medicine has attracted wide attention due to its advantages of multiple targets， pathways， components， and levels in the treatment of HCC， and many cell or animal experiments on traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of HCC have shown that the JAK/STAT signaling pathway is an important target for the prevention and treatment of HCC， with the effects of improving liver function， reducing HCC recurrence， and improving immunity. Based on this， this article analyzes the mechanism of action of the JAK/STAT signaling pathway in HCC， as well as the intervention effect of traditional Chinese medicine monomers， traditional Chinese medicine extracts， and traditional Chinese medicine compounds on the JAK/STAT signaling pathway， in order to provide theoretical basis and reference for the prevention and treatment of HCC and the research and development of new traditional Chinese medicine drugs.

Hepatic fibrosis is a pathological reparative response of the liver to chronic injury and a crucial step in the progression of chronic liver disease， characterized mainly by the activation of hepatic stellate cells and diffuse deposition of extracellular matrix. Currently， there is no ideal specific drug for the treatment of liver fibrosis in clinical practice. In recent years， with the development and progress of traditional Chinese medicine （TCM） in the treatment of liver fibrosis， TCM has been widely recognized for its significant therapeutic effect and fewer adverse reactions. The phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase （PI3K）/protein kinase B （Akt） signaling pathway is an important pathway that affects the formation and development of liver fibrosis. It mainly plays a role in liver fibrosis by inhibiting the activation and proliferation of hepatic stellate cells， promoting their apoptosis， reducing oxidative stress in liver cells， decreasing the deposition of extracellular matrix， and enhancing liver cell autophagy. This article summarized the mechanisms by which Chinese medicinal monomers regulated the PI3K/Akt pathway to exert their effects on liver fibrosis and their synergistic effects with other signaling pathways， providing a theoretical basis and references for the development of new drugs for the treatment of liver fibrosis with TCM.

The pathogenesis of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) remains unclear, and currently no effective drugs have been approved for the treatment of NAFLD. Polygonum cuspidatum is a natural traditional Chinese medicine with a long history of application, and studies have shown that it plays an important role in the treatment of NAFLD. This article summarizes related research findings in the active components of Polygonum cuspidatum applied in the treatment of NAFLD, and it is found that the active components of Polygonum cuspidatum can improve insulin resistance, exert an anti-oxidative stress effect, regulate lipid metabolism, improve endoplasmic reticulum stress, and alleviate inflammatory infiltration by regulating the signaling pathways including Nrf2, AMPK, NF-κB, SIRT1, and PPARα, thereby exerting a preventive and therapeutic effect on NAFLD, so as to provide a basis and ideas for developing drugs for NAFLD and exploring related mechanisms.

A series of paeonol derivatives have been synthesized by simple acylation and etherification of the paeonol. Anti-tumor activities of the synthesized compounds were evaluated against HeLa and MCF-7 cells lines in vitro by the standard MTT assay. It was found that the derivatives were more active against HeLa than MCF-7. The results also indicated that 4-methoxy group is the synergistic group of paeonol's anti-tumor activity and ketone carbonyl side chain is essential functional group of paeonol's anti-tumor activity. Compound 2d had stronger antiproliferative activities than paeonol against HeLa and MCF-7 cell lines with IC50 values of 2.67 and 4.74 micromol x L(-1) respectively. The results showed that paeonol derivatives were worth to be intensively studied further.

Objective To investigate the prevalence rate and the related risk factors of posttraumatic stress disorder ( PTSD) in the rescue paratroopers 1.5 year after Wenchuan earthquake. Methods A total of 183 rescue paratroopers who participated in disaster rescue after Wenchuan earthquake were investigated with the questionnaires composed by General state of health questionnaire, PTSD Checklist-Civilian Version ( PCL-C), Symptom Checklist-90 ( SCL-90), Self-Rating Depression Scale ( SDS) and Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ). Results Six rescue paratroopers had total PCL-C score ≥ 38 points, with the prevalence rate of PTSD for 3.28%. Total PCL-C score was positively correlated with total SCL-90 score, N score of EPQ and total SDS score (P ＜ 0. 01), but negatively correlated with E score of EPQ. Total PCL-C score showed statistical difference between injury group and uninjury group, family loss group and family integrity group, contacting corpses group and none contacting corpses group (P＜0.05 or ＜0.01). Regression analysis showed the length of military service, nervousness, family loss by earthquake, suffering injuries or contacting corpses during relief operations were the risk factors for PTSD. Conclusion The prevalence rate of PTSD in the rescue paratroopers is higher than that in normal troops (0.49% ) 1.5 year after Wenchuan earthquake, indicating that further attention should be paid to the rescue paratroopers in later period after earthquake.
