1.The role of heparin in the interventional therapy for thrombotic diseases
Journal of Interventional Radiology 2001;0(06):-
Objective To evaluate the role of heparin in treating thrombotic diseases by interventional radiology. Methods In order to perform general anticoagulation, heparin or small molecule heparin were used for patients with acute brain thrombosis in 22 cases, limb artery thrombosis in 18 cases, ilic and formal vein thrombosis in 200 cases, inferior vena cava thrombosis in 20 cases. All patients were treated by thrombolysis with UK, or placing filter in inferior vena cava simultaneously with heparin. Results Under general anticoagulation, the effects of thrombosis dissolution for artery were positive. After thrombolysis, heparin must be used to keep the vascular patency. The recanalization of iliac and formal veins was lower than that of artery. The effect of applying heparin combined with thrombolysis was better than that of thrombolysis alone. Conclusions During the course of therapy of thromobotic diseases application of heparin should be the first and their follow by thrombolysis that is the principle for interventional therapy.
2.Wireless sensor network in American War-fighter Physiologic Status Monitoring System
Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 2003;0(11):-
War-fighter Physiologic Status Monitoring(WPSM)is a wireless sensor network that is used to collect, transmit, store and interpret physiologic data from soldiers, sailors and pilots. It can collect and monitor information regarding vital signs such as body temperature, heart rate, blood pressure, hydration and stress levels, sleep status, body position and workload capacity of the warrior. If necessary, the WPSM can notify medics and commanders if the soldier has been wounded or has become fatigued. The structure of the wireless sensor network in the WPSM and the data management of the sensor network are mainly discussed.

Journal of Third Military Medical University 2003;0(17):-
Objective To construct the eukaryotic expression vector of mouse 24p3 gene and express it in NIH3T3 fibroblast cell line and verify its biological function of delivering iron into cells. Methods 24p3cDNA was cloned by RT-PCR and the eukaryotic expression vector of mouse 24p3 gene was constructed by gene recombination technique and the recombinant plasmid was verified by restriction enzyme digestion analysis and sequenceing, then transfected into NIH3T3 cells using DOTAP transfection reagent. Then the positive clones were selected and amplified. The expression of 24p3 gene in the culture supernatant of positive clones was analyzed by ELISA and Western blotting and its biological activity of delivering iron into cells was tested by atomic absorption spectrometer. Results The eukaryotic expression vector was constructed successfully. The NIH3T3 cells that stably expressed 24p3 were screened out. 24p3/SIP24 protein could express in the culture supernatant of positive clones and deliver iron into NIH3T3 cells. Conclusion The 24p3 gene was expressed successfully in the transfected NIH3T3 cells with good biological activity, which laid the foundation for further studying its biological function and mechanism involved in the iron metabolism.

Objective To investigate the effect of caffeic acid phenethyl ester (CAPE) on the growth of human colorectal carcinoma cell line HCT116 transplanted subcutaneously in nude mice. Methods Nude mouse model of human colorectal carcinoma by subcutaneous transplantation of HCT116 cell line was reproduced. A total of 20 mice were divided into 2 groups: control group and CAPE group (oral administration of CAPE at 5mg/mice/d). The growth of the subcutaneously transplanted tumor and changes in mouse body weight in each group after treatment were observed on 7, 14, 21 and 28d. Histopathological examination of xenograft, heart, liver, lung, kidney and intestine of nude mice was also conducted. Apoptosis index was detected by terminal dUTP nick end labeling (TUNEL) technique. Results CAPE had significantly inhibitory effect on growth of the transplanted xenograft in vivo. Tumor volume and tumor weight were decreased (P

Objectives To study the characteristics of VEGFR-3, podoplanin or CD34 positive vessels in colorectal cancer (CRC) and their correlation with metastasis. Methods The characteristics of VEGFR-3, podoplanin or CD34 positive vessels in 96 cases with CRC and normal mucosa were evaluated by single-labeling or double-labeling immunohistochemistry with anti-human VEGFR-3, podoplanin or CD34 antibody respectively, and their relationship with metastasis of the cancer was analyzed. Results The density of VEGFR-3, podoplanin or CD34 positive vessels at the peripheral region of CRC was significantly higher than that of other regions of CRC or that in normal mucosa (P

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1983;0(02):-
Objective To investigate the role of APE1 in the carcinogenesis and progression of colorectal carcinoma (CRC). Methods Expression of APE1 was determined with SP immunohistochemical technique in 40 specimens of normal colorectal mucosa, 60 specimens of colorectal mucosa adjacent to CRC, 72 specimens of colorectal adenoma, and 125 specimens of colorectal carcinoma. Results In normal colorectal mucosa, APE1 was detected in nuclei of epithelial cells. Shift of APE1 from nucleus to cytoplasm was observed in 6 of 60 (10%) specimens of mucosa adjacent to cancer. Such shift was observed in 92 of 125 (73.6%) CRC tissues and 60 of 72 (83.3%) colorectal adenoma, the incidence of both of them was significantly higher than that observed in normal colorectal mucosa and colorectal mucosa adjacent to CRC (P

Objective To introduce a new method of septal cartilage augmentation for hump nose plasty. Methods The section of septal cartilage was collected and divided into two or three parts. The grafts were sutured by means of a mattress suture, and placed over the dorsum of superior and inferior hump. The dorsum became flat and straight immediately afterward. Results After a short term and long term follow up, 30 patients who underwent this operation were satisfied the operative results. Conclusion Septal cartilage augmentation for hump nose plasty is an efficient new method.
