Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2012;26(19):908-909
The case of the nodular fasciitis was with a short history and rapid growth speed. The lesion was nodular, not encapsulated. Histologically, the fibroblasts proliferated actively, with some mitoses. The reality of the nodular fasciitis is the proliferation of fibroblasts and myofibroblasts. This disease is a benign lesion. It is very important to make a different diagnosis between this lesion and sarcomas. Ultrasonography and MRI are important assistants in diagnosis of nodular fasciitis. This disease could be effectively treated by local excision with a low recurrence rate and a satisfactory prognosis.

OBJECTIVE:
To evaluate the efficacy of endoscopic minitrephination combined with endoscopic frontal sinusotomy in the management of complex chronic frontal sinusitis.
METHOD:
Twenty-six patients suffering from chronic frontal sinusitis with complex frontal drainage approach were analyzed. Eleven patients (13 sides) received endoscopic minitrephination combined with endoscopic frontal sinusotomy, while the other 15 patients (18 sides) received endoscopic frontal sinusotomy only. Postoperatively all cases were followed up to evaluate the efficacy.
RESULT:
The ostia of frontal sinus were successfully opened in the group of patients received endoscopic minitrephination combined with endoscopic frontal sinusotomy without any complications. In the endoscopic frontal sinusotomy only group, three cases of complications were observed, one with the injury of anterior ethmoidal artery and the other two with the injury of papyraceous lamina. After 10 to 24 months of follow up postoperatively, the symptoms were relieved in all cases without recurrence. The combined surgery group with endoscopic minitrephination showed an endoscopic frontal sinus patency rate of 85%, and the endoscopic frontal sinusotomy only group exhibited an endoscopic frontal sinus patency rate of 83%.
CONCLUSION
Endoscopic minitrephination combined with endoscopic frontal sinusotomy is a simple, convenient, safe and effective method for management of complex chronic frontal sinusitis.

Chinese Medical Ethics 1994;0(06):-
Extraction of teeth is the most basic and widely used operation of oral and maxillofacial surgery. According to characteristics of extraction of teeth, the author views medical ethics principles which in the diagnoses and treatments process from the aspect of medical ethics, they are,①Doctors must intensify their own quality and self - cultivations and establish the idea of " People First ". ②Doctors must carry on the overall and systematic inspection, make the plan of diagnoses and treatments synthetically toimplement the idea of " People First ". ③Doctors should pay attention to interact with patient, meet different patients' demands and create the harmonious medical environment.

Objective To explore the probable mechanism of tinnitus and the accompanied symptoms us-ing RS-FMRI. Methods We recruited 10 adults with chronic tinnitus and 10 health adults for fMRI in the resting state. Then we compared the differences of regional homogeneity(REHO)maps and functional connectivity to the whole-brain maps with the auditory cortex as a region of interest between the two groups. Results The REHO maps of tinnitus group showed significant differences in the automated anatomical labeling brain map including the middle frontal_gyrus (right),superior frontal_gyrus (left),entorhinal cortex_(right),middle occipital_gyrus (right),middle occipital gyrus(bilateral),lingual gyrus(left)and cuneate lobe(left). The functional connectivity maps of tinnitus group showed significant differences in lingal_gyrus(left)of AAL brain regions. The p threshold value was<0.001 in all results. Conclusion Tinnitus may cause abnormal neural activity in several non-auditory brain regions, which may be the neurophysiological mechanism of tinnitus accompanied symptoms.

This paper reports the diagnosis and treatment of 2 cases of acute schistosomiasis with ectopic lesion in the lung. It suggests that in schistosomiasis endemic areas,if the patients with the contact history of infested water have the symptom of fe-ver,while the effects of anti-infection and the corresponding treatments are not good, the clinician should consider acute schisto-somiasis.

Objective To investigate the efficiency of ultrasound microbubble-mediated HGF gene transfer on liver fibrosis in rats. Methods The eukaryotic expression vector pMD18-T/HGF was constructed. The rats were randomly divided into 5 groups: normal group, model group, low dose group, middle dose group and high dose group. The rat liver fibrosis were induced. At day 14 after treatment, the rats were sacrificed, the ALT lever were evaluated, pathological evaluation of liver fibrosis were made, immunohistochemical evaluation of HGF protein expressions were observed, HGF mRNA expression were detected by RT-PCR. Results Liver 1function after the treatment showed that the treatment groups were better than model group ( P < 0. 05). The difference between low dose group and normal group showed significant difference ( P <0.05), and the difference between middle/high dose groups and normal group showed no significant ( P >0. 05). Pathological results showed that the treatment groups could reduce liver fibrosis;treatment groups had the positive HGF expression by immunohistochemistry and the expression level increased with the increasement of the treatment dose ( P <0.05). RT-PCR showed HGF mRNA expression in the treatment groups were higher than in model group ( P <0.05). Conclusions Ultrasound microbubbles which carrying HGF can inhibit the process of hepatic fibrosis.
