1.The treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia by transurethral vaporization combined with resection

Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of transurethral vaporization combined with resection in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH) and prevention of complications. Methods Under low position continuous epidural anesthesia, 83 cases of BPH were treated by transurethral vaporization and resection with Stabilized loop, roller-shape and spade electrodes. Results The mean operative time was 58 min and blood loss 80ml. No blood transfusion was required and no transurethral resection syndrome(TURS) occurred. 2.Absorbability of Polyvinylidene Chloride Infusion Vessels to Ciclosporin

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the absorbability polyvinylidene chloride(PVC) infusion vessel to ciclosporin.METHODS:The concentration of ciclosporin was determined by HPLC after storing in the PVC infusion packages or glass bottle for different period of time and its change was investigated as well.RESULTS:The adsorption rate of PVC infusion vessel to ciclosporin increased time-dependently,with a peak value of 38.66% at 12 h,which was significant as compared with glass infusion bottle at the same time.CONCLUSION:The PVC infusion package has stronger absorbability to ciclosporin,thus its use should be avoided if possible.
3.Design of electromagnetic compatibility in shelter hospital system

To explore the electromagnetic compatibility in the shelter hospital system to adapt it to the future complex electromagnetic environment. The factors for electromagnetic interference were analyzed, and some measures were put forward including separating the interference source from the sensitive device, setting up shielding space, applying grounding measures, eliminating interference signals by filtering and etc. The electromagnetic compatibility in the shelter hospital system was detected through electromagnetic self-compatibility test and electromagnetic environ-mental suitability test for external radio frequency. Simulations and tests proved that the failures and mal-re-sponse due to electromagnetic interference were avoided in the shelter hospital system. The electromagnetic compatibility scheme can meet the requirements of emergency medical facilities for electromagnetic protection in field conditions.
4.Effects of Transforming Growth Factor-β1 and Atorvastatin on the Expression of Collagen Type I P-Smads in Human Atrial Fibroblasts

Objective: To observe the effects of transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1) and atorvastatin on expressions of collagen type I P-Smad2, Smad4 and Smad7 in human atrial ifbroblasts, and to explore the ifbrosis and anti-ifbrosis mechanisms in human atrium. Methods: Human right atrial appendage tissue was obtained from the cardiac surgery in our hospital and the atrial ifbroblasts were isolated and cultured by generations. The effects of TGF-β1 and atorvastatin on atrial ifbroblast proliferation was detected by MTT method and the effect of TGF-β1 at (0, 0.1, 1.0, 5.0, 10.0, 20.0, 50.0) ng/ml and atorvastatin at (0, 0.1, 1.0, 10.0, 100.0) μmol/L on mRNA and protein expressions of collagen type I P-Smad2, Smad4 and Smad7 in atrial ifbroblasts were examined by RT-PCR and Western-blotting analysis respectively. Results: MTT detection presented that compared to TGF-β1 at 0 ng/ml, with the intervention of TGF-β1 at (1 and 10) ng/ml, the mRNA and protein expressions of collagen type I P-Smad2, Smad4 increased,P<0.05 and the expressions of Smad7 decreased,P<0.05. Compared to TGF-β1 at 10.0 ng/ml, with the intervention of TGF-β1 + atorvastatin at 10.0 μmol/L or with atorvastatin at 10.0 μmol/L alone, the mRNA and protein expressions of collagen type I P-Smad2, Smad4 decreased,P<0.05and expressions of Smad7 increased,P<0.05. Conclusion: TGF-β1 promotes human atrial ifbroblast proliferation and collagen type I expression, while atorvastatin inhibits such proliferation and expression, the effect might be done by affecting TGF-β1/Smads pathway in human atrial ifbroblasts.
5.Clinical application of IPHP chemotherapy for gastric cancer

Objective To evalute long-term effect of combined therapy (radical or palliative resection of carcer and intraperitoneal hyperthermic perfusion (IPHP) chemotherapy) for advenced garstric cancer (GC) from October 1987 to October 1997 in our haspital. The cases were randomly divided into two groups: IPHP group (37 cases) and control group (34 cases). In IPHP group, before suture the abdomine, heated 5-Fu solution in abdominal cavity should be maintained at 42~43℃ for 60 minutes. Results After IPHP chemotherapy, 12 patients with cancer cells widespreading in abdominal carity, refractable ascites were disappeared. All the patients were dischargd after IPHP. The 5-year survival rate in IPHP group (51.6%) was significanfly highter than that in control group (32.3%) (P<0.05).

Objective To evaluate the clinical value of laparoscopic renalcyst unroofing as compared with open surgery.Methods The clinical data of 30 cases(group A) receiving glaparoscopic renalcyst unroofing from February 2002 to March 2005 and 15 cases(group B) receiving open renalcyst unroofing from February 2002 to February 2004 were retrospectively analyzed.The rating of depression and anxiety before operation,operating time,amount of bleeding during operation,recovery of intestinal function after operation,ambulation and normal activities after operation,the time of using intravenous after operation,the times of using analgesic after operation,the operation cost,total cost of hospitalization,the hospital stay and complications were compared between group A and group B.Results In group A,the amount of bleeding during renalcyst unroofing operation,the recovery of intestinal function after operation,ambulation after operation,the hospital stay,the resume of normal activities after operation and the occurrence of complications the time of using intravenous after operation,the times of using analgesic after operation were all better than those in group B(P
7.An analysis of causes of iatrogentic urethral stricture and to assess the prevention methods

Objective To assess the cause of iatrogentic urethral stricture,prevention methods.Methods A total of 21 cases of iatrogentic urethral stricture patients were retrospectively analyzed. Results 2 cases of corpus glandulare prostatae extraction on ospectinis,2 cases of urethrolithotomy, 12 cases of transurethral resection of the prostate foe the treatment of symptomatic BPH, 5 cases of exelcymosic UCL all gained urethral sounding and urethra sliver and electrotomy. Conclusion Iatrogentic urethral stricutre can be prevented by iatrogentic urethral catheterization operation technical,reconstruction the time size quality of urethral catheterization, using intravenous. By urethral sounding and intracavitary operation,iatrogentic urethral stricture all gained satisfaction.

Objective:To establish a GC fingerprint analysis method for identification of volatile oil in ultramicro-powder of Houttuynia cordata from different habitats, then to control the quality sensitively.Methods: GC was used to analyze the volatile constituents of ultramicro-powder of Houttuynia cordata from 12 different habitats;SPDTM-1CapillaryColumn(30m?0.32mm?0.25?m),temperature programming and FID detector were applied.Results: The mutual mode of GC fingerprints was set up and the similar degrees to the volatile oil from of different habitats were compared.Conclusion:The GC fingerprints of volatile oil in ultramicro-powder can be used to identify the Houttuynia cordata from different habitats and evaluate its quality.
9.Determination of Glycyrrhetic Acid in Zhenkening Capsules by RP-HPLC

OBJECTIVE:To determine the content of glycyrrhetic acid in zhenkening capsules by RP-HPLC.METHODS:The separation was performed on Hypersil C 18,the mobile phase consisted of methanol-water-glacial acetic acid(87∶13∶2.5)with flow rate at 1.0ml/min and detection wavelength at 254nm,the column temperature was set at room temperature.RE-SULTS:The calibration cure of glycyrrhetic acide was linear in the concentration range of 10~120?g/ml(r=0.9999),the average recovery was 99.68%(RSD=0.49%).CONCLUSION:This method is simple,fast,accurate,and suitable for the determination of glycyrrhetic acid in zhenkening capsules.
10.Clinicopathologic study and review of alveolar soft part sarcoma

Objective To investigate the clinicopathologic features and differential diagnosis of alveolar soft part sarcoma(ASPS).Methods A case of ASPS was studied by HE stain,light microscopic observation,histochemical stain and immunohistochemical stain,and discussed the disease synthetically with the literature.Results The patient was female,23 years old.The lesion was located in the deep skeletal muscles of left buttocks,microscopically,which consisted of round to polygonal tumor cells,showing alveolus and nest arrangement,arounded by stroma containing sinusoidal capillaries,and there were abundant crystals in cytoplasm of the tumor cells,prominent nucleoli and fewer nuclear fission images in the tumor cells.PAS stain was stongly positive.Immunohistochemical stain showed positive expression of myoglobin in tumor cells,and negative expression of Myosin,Desmin,SMA,Vimentin,S-100 protein,EMA and Syn in them.Conclusion ASPS is a rare malignant soft tissue neoplasm,its histogenesis is uncertain,and diagnosed by pathological examine and treated mainly by operation.
