1.The Implication of Ionic Contrast Media Made in China in Contrast-Enhanced CT

Purpose To evaluate the clinical safety of ionic contrast media made in china and compare with nonionic contrast media being imported. Methods Among contrast-enhanced CT 1096 cases, 76% meglumine diatrizoate were administed in 864 cases and ultravist in 232 cases , comparative studies on adverse drug reactions(ADRs) and image quality were performed. Results In 76% meglumine diatrizoate group , the prevalence of overall and mild -middle ADRs was higher than in the ultravist group , the prevalence of severe and potentially life-threatening ADRs was approximate in the ultravist group , the image quality was well than in the ultravist group.Preventive inoculation alleviated ADRs at all levels. Conclusion Ionic contrast media made in china was safe and effective in patients without hyperthyroidism after preventive inoculation.
2.Fully Automated Determination of Four Androgenic Hormones in Serum by Online Turbulent Flow Solid Phase Extraction Coupled with Liquid Chromatography-Tandem Mass Spectrometry

A novel method was developed for the direct analysis of testosterone, androstenedione, methyltestosterone and methenolone in serum samples by fully automated online turbulent flow solid phase extraction coupled with high performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry. An aliquot of 50 μL serum sample was preconcentrated directly on a Turboflow SPE column after centrifugation. Turboflow SPE C18-P could be used to remove serum matrix effectively. The optimum loading flow rate and elution time were 4. 0 mL/min and 1. 0 min, respectively. The linearity ranges were from 1. 0 μg/L to 100. 0 μg/L for four target compounds. The method limits of detection ( LODs) were in the range of 0. 2-0. 3 μg/L. The relative standard deviations (RSDs) ranged from 2. 9% to 14. 1% (n=5). The time for one sample analysis including extraction, separation and determination was 32 min. The proposed method has been successfully applied for the analysis of serum samples.
3.Induced pneumoperitoneum in spiral CT evaluation of gastric cancer

Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value and clinical significance of preoperative staging in gastric cancer with induced pneumoperitoneum in spiral CT (SCTPP). Methods Both routine SCT and SCTPP were performed in 52 lean patients suffered from gastric cancers, and comparison was made between SCT findings and surgical and histopathologic findings. Results The accuracy of routine SCT and SCTPP in determining the T-staging was 72% and 96%, respectively (?2=8.0, P0.05). 4.Spiral CT features of lymph node metastasis in advanced gastric cancer: compared with pathologic findings

Objective To discuss the spiral CT features of lymph node metastasis in advanced gastric cancer, and to investigate the correlation between spiral CT features and pathologic results. Methods Spiral CT scan and triphasic enhancement spiral CT scan were performed in 59 patients with advanced gastric cancer before operation. Results ①The pathologic metastatic rate of lymph node in gastric cancer was high when the lymph nodes were nubby-mixed, prominently enhanced, unsymmetrical enhanced and ≥9 mm in diameter on spiral CT (P<0.05). ②The detection rate of lymph node metastasis with spiral CT was high when carcinoma tissues were poorly differentiated, Borrmann Ⅲ+Ⅳ, T3-4 staging and TNM Ⅲ+Ⅳ staging. Conclusion The spiral CT features of lymph node (distributing type, size, enhanced degree, enhanced mode and staging) can reflect the pathologic characteristics of lymph node metastasis in gastric carcinoma. Pathologic characteristic of gastric tumor determines the detection rate of lymph node metastasis on spiral CT. The accuracy of CT to diagnose lymph nodes metastasis will be improved by integrating the spiral CT features of both gastric tumor and lymph node.
5.Observation on clinical effect of electroacupuncture plus pricking-cupping bloodletting therapy for herpes zoster

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of electroacupuncture (EA) plus pricking-cupping bloodletting therapy for herpes zoster.
Methods:A total of 43 patients with herpes zoster were randomly divided into two groups, 23 cases in the treatment group and 20 cases in the control group. The treatment group was given EA plus pricking-cupping bloodletting therapy. The control group was given oral administration of Aciclovir Tablets, Diclofenac Sodium Dual Release Enteric-coated Capsules, Methylcobalamin Dispersible Tablets, and V itamin B12.
Results: The total effective rate was 87.0% in the treatment group and 70.0% in the control group, with a statistical significance in difference of the total effective rate between the two groups (P<0.01).
Conclusion:The clinical effect is better in the treatment of herpes zoster by EA plus pricking-cupping bloodletting therapy than by medications.
6.Comparative analysis of the MSCT characters and pathology of chromophobe renal cell carcinoma

Objective To explore the MSCT manifestations of chromophobe renal cell carcinoma (CRCC)and to improve its accu-racy of preoperative diagnose.Methods Clinical and MSCT finding were retrospectively reviewed in 14 patients with CRCC,which were confirmed by surgical pathology or biopsy.Results (1)On plain scanning,most of the CRCC lesions showed round or oval (86.7%,13/1 5)and isodensity (73.3%,1 1/1 5)mass;and the border of 66.7% (10/1 5)lesions were clear.53.3% (8/1 5)of the lesions were heterogeneous with lamellar cystic low density (8 lesions)and coarse ringed and/or foliated calcifications (4 lesions). (2)On contrast-enhanced sacanning,the CRCC lesions showed mild to moderate (86.7%,13/1 5)and heterogeneous (60%,9/1 5) enhancement,and 73.3% (1 1/1 5)of the lesions were persistent enhanced.(3)According to the pathology,80% (12/1 5)of the le-sions was the typical type,20% (3/1 5)was the eosinophilic type,and 0 was the hybrid type.Conclusion CRCC demonstrates cer-tain characteristics signs at MSCT examination.Lesion mostly shows well-circumscribed round or oval mass in the renal parenchy-ma,mild to moderate,heterogeneous and continuous enhancement on the contrast scanning.The diagnosis of CRCC should be con-sidered especially when the lesion has cystic change and coarse ringed and/or foliated calcifications.
7.The clinical research of multi-slice spiral CT in intestinal imaging

Objective To investigate the value and usefulness of optimized multislice CT enterography (MSCTE) with orally administered isosmotic mannitol (2. 5%) as negative contrast in demonstrating the small bowel and its abnormality. Methods Forty patients suspected of intestinal tumors were randomly divided into two groups and underwent conventional or optimized MSCTE. The expansion degree of bowel lumen and the thickness of bowel wall were evaluated for the six segments of the small intestine. The other 20 patients suspected of gastrointestinal diseases underwent gastrointestinal CT imaging.The expansion degree of bowel lumen and the wall thickness of bowel wall were statistically analyzed with Chi-Square test and t test. Results The wall thickness of the stomach, ileum and colon were (2. 56 ±0.52) ,(1.41 ±0. 15),(1.46 ±0. 13),(1.91 ±0. 25), (1.97 ±0.26),(2.01 ±0. 19), (2. 04 ±0.24)and (2. 05 ±0. 18)mm. Optimized method was superior to conventional method in the expansion degree of the second and third segments of the small intestine (P < 0. 05) . There was no significant differences between two groups in the expansion degree and depiction of mucosa for the other segments of small intestine (P > 0. 05). The gastrointestinal CT imaging was poor in the depiction of the duodenum and jejunum, but stomach, ileum and colon were fully illustrated. Conclusion Optimized MSCTE was superior to conventional method in demonstrating the small bowel, and gastrointestinal CT imaging can expand diagnostic scope because of good observation of whole gastrointestinal tract.
9.Influence of left atrial structure and function by bipolar radio frequency current ablation in patients with atrial fibrillation

Objective To evaluate the changes of left atrial structure and function in the patients with atrial fibrillation who accepted bi -polar radio frequency current ablation .Methods All patients in our study were divided into three groups including the ones who had accept -ed bipolar radio frequency current ablation because of atrial fibrillation ,the ones who refused to accept ablation operation in despite of atrial fibrillation and the ones who maintained sinus rhythm before operation .All patients accepted TTE before and after operation .Results The rate of transverse diameter change of ablation group (24.24 ±8.67)%was larger than those of other two groups (P<0.05).Left atrial chan-nel capacity volume change rate of ablation group (17.18 ±3.26)%were larger than the values of the group who were suffering atrial fibrilla-tion but refused ablation advice (0.86 ±0.26)(P<0.05).Left atrial total ejection fractions of ablation group (202.41 ±81.59)%were lar-ger than the values of the group who were suffering atrial fibrillation but refused ablation advice (109.53 ±60.91)%( P<0.05) .And its ac-tive ejection fractions(12.18 ±3.48)%,total ejection fractions(41.31 ±8.26)%and so forth were less than the group who maintained si-nus rhythm before operation(21.33 ±5.61)%,(45.05 ±7.37)%,respectively (P<0.05).Left atrial posterior wall center and cardiac basal segment strain(14.34 ±9.47)%,(13.20 ±8.38)%,respectively,and strain rate values after operation of ablation group were less than other segments .Conclusion Left atrial structure remodeling inversion was not obviously 3~6 months after bipolar radio frequency cur-rent ablation .And at the same time ,the improvement of left atrial storage function was not obviously compared with the group who refused ab -lation advice,left atrial channel function compensation degree descended obviously left atrial co -pumping function in ablation group increased obviously,left atrial posterior wall center and cardiac basal segment systolic and distolic function were less than other segments of left .
10.Clinical manifestations and cerebral angiographic findings of moyamoya disease

Objective To study the clinical features and angiographic findings of moyamoya disease (MMD) as well as their relationship. Methods A total of 22 MMD patients received routine digital substraction angiography (DSA). The clinical manifestations and angiographic findings were analyzed. Results Clinical manifestations varied and each patient often had multiple symptoms, including cerebral infarction in 9 patients with an average age of 23.6 (13-39 years) and cerebral hemorrhage in 7 patients with an average age of 31.2 (28-46 years). Angiographic examination found that all the diseased sides showed MMD blood vessels. The patients who received encephalo-myo-arterio-synangiosis (EMAS) had better prognosis than those without receiving the treatment. Conclusion Cerebral infarction is frequent in children and adolescents with MMD, whereas cerebral hemorrhage is common in adults. DSA is a golden criterion for diagnosing MMD. Surgical treatment, EMAS blood supply reconstruction in particular, should be prescribed.
