To introduce scientific research innovation into undergraduate education, cultivating innovative talents has been an urgent mission of current higher education. This article reviewed our experience, with the introduction of producing-studying-researching platform built on original innovative achievements of Chongqing medical university,of training physical medicine physician to be practical talents of large-scale diagnostic and therapeutic medical equipments, and was aimed to explore introducing producing-studying-researching platform into undergraduate education as well as improve personnel training quality of undergraduates.

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of finger reconstruction in child with second toe transplantation, and evaluate the postoperative appearance and function regarding the reconstructed donor feet. Methods From June 2002 to May 2011,sixteen cases were reconstructed in sub-emergency with second toe transplantation. Two thumbs, eight index fingers, and 6 middle fingers were reconstructed. All patients were followed-up from 12 to 24 months. The functions of reconstructed fingers were analysed. Results All the reconstructed fingers survived.Vascular crisis occurred in 1 patient, and survived after re-anastomosis.Necrosis of skin grafts at the domon site with exposed tedons was seen in 1 ease, and healed after changing dressings. All the reconstructed fingers showed good in growth and development, and performed good functions as grabbing, grasping and nipping.Two-point discrimination was between 6 mm and 10 mm.The donor site of the foot had normal gait, without obvious influence on walking. Also,no pain was complained. Conclusion The method of transplanting the second toe can reconstruct the appearance and function of the finger defects in child, and has little effect on the appearance and motion of feet.It is an effective treatment method.

Objective To investigate the expressions of interleukin-8 (IL-8) mRNA and proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) protein in astrocytic tumors and their correlation with the tumor cell apoptosis. Methods The expressions of IL-8 mRNA in 64 cases of astrocytic tumor and 10 normal brain tissues were detected using RT-PCR. The expression of PCNA protein in the tumors was assayed with immunohistochemistry, and the apoptosis index (AI) of the tumor cells determined using TUNEL assay. Results The expression ofIL-8 mRNA in the astrocytic tumors was strongly correlated to the malignancy of the tumors, and both the PCNA expression and the apoptosis index increased in tumors of greater malignancies. IL-8 mRNA expression was positively correlated to the expression of PCNA (r=0.938, P<0.01) and AI (r=0.907, P<0.01) in these tumors. Conclusion IL-8 mRNA expression is positively correlated to the histological grade of the astrocytic tumors, whose proliferation is mediated by inhibition of cell apoptosis and upregulation of IL-8 transcription.

Department of Immunology; Institute of Basic Medical Science, CAMS and PUMC, Beijing 100005, China) Objective To study the mechanism of neuroimmunoregulation which is triggered by enhancing immunologic function via Hou Hai acupoint antigen injection. Methods Immunohistochemical method, immunofluorometric method and RT-PCR were used to examine the different distribution of cy tokine immunopositive cells in the brain and expression of cytokines in the spleen of the human IgG sensitized rats recieved acupoint, subcutaneous and normal rats antigen injections. Results In the areas of lateral hypothalamic nucleus (LH) and amygdaloid nuclear complex(AA) , the distribution of cytokines immunopositive cells with acupoint injection group was significantly increased more than that in the subcutaneous injection group. But the expression of cytokines immunopositive cells both by the acu point injection and the subcutaneous injection groups reached their peak value in similar time. Dou ble-labelling results showed that the cytokine immunopositive cells were neurons. In the spleens, the expressions of cytokines, IL-2 and IFN, were significantly increased by acupoint injection more than subcutaneous injection. Conclusions The time course of neuroimmunoregulation is similar in the im munized rats via both acupoint injection and subcutaneous injection of antigens. But the activity of neuroimmunoregulation is not the same in acupoint and subcutaneous injection groups. Neurons of the LH and AA are main source spf teh neruroimunomodulation The effect of enhancing immunlolgic funivtion via Hou acupoin injection is may be more efficent to mobnilize the activity of neitoimmunreguation of immune-asociated brain than moduation the immune system
