Objective To observe curative effect of mental therapy on women perimenopausal period syndrome.Methods 100 patients with perimenopausal period syndrome were randomly divided into the treatment group and control group with 50 cases in each group. Patients of the treatment group were treated by Cryzanolam, Surazepam, etc,and mental therapy was given simultaneously twice one week. Patients of the control group were treated only by drugs. The period of treatment was four weeks. The curative effect was assessed by SCL-90 symptom self evaluation scales.Results Several factors and total average points of two groups' SCL-90 all dropped, and there was significant difference between two groups after therapy (P<0.01). For patients of the treatment group, clinic symptoms were markedly abated after treatment (P<0.05), and average scores of several factors were not significantly different from normal adults (P>0.05). Conclusion The mental therapy can remit symptoms of women perimenopausal period syndrome effectively and improve their healthy.

ObjectiveTo explore the possible pathogeny of tension headache(TH) as well as some emotional and cognitive function impediment.Methods53 cases with tension headache were given coronal CT or MRI examination and cervix X-ray examination.Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS) and Mini-Mental State Examination(MMSE) were used to assess their emotion and cognition.ResultsThere were 14 cases of magnitude mental events induced anxiety and/or depression,23 cases of work tensions induced anxiety,14 cases of work tensions induced depression,and 12 cases of lightly cognitive impediment.ConclusionTension headache patients usually related with continued convulsion of cervical muscle induced by hard work and life.Most of them represent more or less emotional impediment,part of them represent lightly cognitive impediment.

Objective To observe the effectiveness of comprehensive rehabilitation on the recovery of motor function of patients with severe cerebral injury in recovery phase.Methods 72 cases with severe cerebral injury in recovery phase were randomly divided into rehabilitation group (n=38) and control group (n=34). Patients in control group were treated with routine method, and those in rehabilitation group with comprehensive rehabilitation treatment in addition.Results Motor function, activities of daily living (ADL) and complication of patients were evaluated at the first day and two months later after be in hospital. The effect of comprehensive rehabilitation treatment were better than that of control group(P<0.05,P<0.01). Conclusion Comprehensive rehabilitation is important to the patients with severe cerebral injury of recovering, not only in recovery of motor function but also in reducing the complication.

Objective To explore the impact of four different anesthetic drugs commonly used in animal experi-ments on cardiovascular system in rats.Methods Electrocardiogram ( ECG) and blood pressure were dynamically recor-ded by a BioPac MP150 system after anesthesia.In addition, the blood glucose at different time points and hepatic func-tion, kidney function, cardiac enzymes and electrolytes at the end of the test were collected.Rusults Chloral hydrate caused severe ventricular arrhythmia.Isoflurane had inhibitory effect on the heart rate.Pentobarbital sodium induced a in-crease of ECG P wave.Urethane caused J point elevation of ECG.Blood pressure in the urethane-and pentobarbital sodi-um-treated groups were increased.Chloral hydrate caused CK to be raised, while isoflurane showed the opposite effect on CK and CKMB.Alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase in the pentobarbitol sodium and isoflurane groups were decreased.Creatinine in the chloral hydrate, pentobarbital sodium and isoflurane groups were lower, and the serum sodium and potassium were decreased in the four groups.Conclusions Chloral hydrate has obvious effect on the cardio-vascular system, and is not suitable for animal studies on cardiovascular diseases.Pentobarbital sodium, urethane, isoflu-rane can be chosen for animal studies on cardiovascular diseases.

Berberine is a naturally occurring benzylisoquinoline alkaloid with a wide range of pharmacological activities, such as antibacterial, anticancer, hypolipidemic, antidiabetic and antidiarrheal. Although berberine has a wide range of curative effects, the extremely low bioavailability (< 1%) limits its clinical application. Pure berberine preparations have not yet been approved for any specific disease. The low oral bioavailability of berberine is mainly due to poor solubility caused by self-aggregation under acidic conditions, low permeability, P-glycoprotein (P-gp)-mediated efflux, and liver and intestine metabolism. To improve the oral bioavailability of berberine, researchers have adopted a variety of strategies, including the application of various nano-delivery systems, penetration enhancers and P-gp inhibitors, structural modifications, and development of berberine derivatives. Improving the oral bioavailability of berberine can improve the pharmacological activity of berberine, reduce the dosage, and then reduce the toxic and side effects. This review summarized the various pharmacological activities, metabolism progress and pharmacokinetic characteristics of berberine, the newly discovered berberine target intestinal microbiota and focused on the strategies to improve the oral bioavailability of berberine by improving solubility and permeability, inhibiting P-gp efflux, and structural modification. The research on berberine was prospected, which provided guidance for the in-depth study of berberine.

ObjectiveTo investigate the value of 18F-FDG SPECT myocardial imaging in evaluating haemodynamic change,treatment outcome and prognosis for idiopathic pulmonary arterial hypertension (IPAH).MethodsAll 24 patients with IPAH underwent 18 F-FDG SPECT myocardial imaging.Right ventricle/left ventricle (RV/LV)-FDG uptake was calculated by ROI method drawing over the central areas of left and right ventricular free walls.All patients underwent right heart catheterization within 3 days after imaging studies.Mean pulmonary artery pressure (mPAP) and pulmonary vascular resistance (PVR) were recorded.After six month pharmaceutical treatment,15 IPAH patients were re-examined with 18F-FDG SPECT myocardial imaging followed by repeated right heart catheterization within 3 days.Plasma N-terminal pro-brain naturetic peptide (NT-proBNP) and endothelin-1 ( ET-1 ) were measured in 17 patients using electrochemiluminescent immunoassay and enzyme immunoassay respectively.All patients were followed up for 12 months at least.Correlations between RV/LV-FDG uptake and mPAP and PVR were determined by simple linear regression analysis.Change of RV/LV-FDG before and after treatment was calculated using Student's t-test.Survival in groups with RV/LV FDG uptake ≥ 1.15 and RV/LV-FDG uptake ＜ 1.15 were compared using Log-rank test.ResultsSignificant correlations were found between RV/LV-FDG uptake and mPAP (r =0.562,P ＜ 0.01 ),and between RV/LV-FDG uptake and PVR ( r =0.574,P ＜ 0.01 ).There were no significant correlation between RV/LV-FDG uptake and NT-proBNP( r =0.18 1,P ＞ 0.05 ),but a significant correlation between RV/LV-FDG and ET-1 was observed (r =0.669,P ＜ 0.01 ).The RV/LV-FDG uptake in patients with positive treatment outcome ( n =6) decreased from 1.38 ± 0.52 to 0.92 ±0.26 (t =4.018,P ＜ 0.05) after 6 months treatment.In contrast,no significant change of RV/LV-FDG uptake was seen in those patients (n =9) with negative treatment outcome ( t =1.861,P ＞ 0.05 ).The mean follow-up time was (21 ±8) months.Mean survival time for the patients with RV/LV- FDG uptake ≥ 1.15was 28 months (95％ confidence interval:24-32 months),which was significantly lower than 34 months survival (95％ confidence interval:33-35 months) for the patients with RV/LV-FDG ＜ 1.15 (x2 =3.956,P ＜0.05 ).Conclusions Detection of right ventricle myocardial glucose metabolism level with 18F-FDG SPECT may be a practical method for evaluating haemodynamic change,treatment outcome and prognosis of IPAH.

Hernia and abdominal wall surgery is a relatively new subspecialty in surgery. Although it started late in China, after 25 years of rapid development, it has made remarkable achievements and has become an important part of surgery, laying a solid foundation for the further development of the discipline. At the same time, one should also be soberly aware of the present deficiencies in this field. The development of the field should be more detailed and in-depth from the following aspects: correct understanding of new concepts of hernia and abdominal wall surgery, establishment of hernia patient registration and quality control system, technological innovation and development of technical equipment, especially the expansion of robot surgical systems, materials science progression to hernia and abdominal wall surgery. Faced with this challenge, China is expected to achieve high-quality development in the field of hernia and abdominal surgery.

[Objective] To investigate the present status of eyesight and eye health at home in low-grade pupils in Shanghai Zhabei District ,and to provide the basis for eyesight protection . [ Methods] Random cluster sampling was done in 7 primary schools .A total of 2 598 pupils of grade 1-3 were in-cluded into our investigation .Visual examination was done for them and questionnaires approach applied to obtain information on pupils and their eye health at home . [ Results] The low vision rate of low -grade pupils in primary schools in Zhabei District was 33.4%, of whom the boys were 31.5%, and the girls 35.6%.For pupils of grade one, two and three, the low vision rates were 30.2%, 31.3%and 39.7%re-spectively, and the mild low vision rates accounted for 72.5% of the total.It took hours per day for most pupils at home to do homework or read ,and only 32.8% pupils had an interval of relaxation in 1 hour or less in doing homework and reading . [ Conclusion] The low vision rate continues to rise ,and the ad-verse eye health habits are prevalent in the pupils .Behavior intervention should be carried out as early as possible among low-grade pupils for myopia prevention .

Pre-testing preparation is the basis and starting point of genetic testing.The process includes collection of clinical information,formulation of testing scheme,genetic counseling before testing,and completion of informed consent and testing authorization.To effectively identify genetic diseases in clinics can greatly improve the diagnostic rate of next generation sequencing (NGS),thereby reducing medical cost and improving clinical efficacy.The analysis of NGS results relies,to a large extent,on the understanding of genotype-phenotype correlations,therefore it is particularly important to collect and evaluate clinical phenotypes and describe them in uniform standard terms.Different types of genetic diseases or mutations may require specific testing techniques,which can yield twice the result with half the effort.Pre-testing genetic counseling can help patients and their families to understand the significance of relevant genetic testing,formulate individualized testing strategies,and lay a foundation for follow-up.
