Journal of Integrative Medicine 2004;2(4):271-3
OBJECTIVE: To investigate the possible beneficial effects of administration of Naoluo Xintong Recipe (NLXT) on the expression of HSP70 and bFGF in rats subjected to ischemia-reperfusion with qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome. METHODS: We blindly randomized 40 male Wistar rats into 5 groups which were categorized as follows: (1); sham-operated group; (2) rats subjected to transient middle cerebral artery (MCA) occlusion with qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome (control group); (3) NLXT-treated group; (4) NLXT-pretreated group; (5) Nao'an Capsule-treated group. Focal brain ischemia was induced by the intraluminal suture MCA occlusion method after qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome had been made. The rats' brains were harvested at the 24h of reperfusion after 2h of MCA occlusion. The expression of HSP70 and bFGF was measured by by immunohistochemical staining. RESULTS: Strong HSP70 immunoreactivity in neurons was observed in NLXT-treated and NLXT-pretreated groups as compared to control group, and increased bFGF immunoreactivity in neurons was observed in the ischemic hemisphere in NLXT-pretreated group in comparison with the ischemic hemisphere in the control group (P<0.01). NLXT has stronger effects on HSP70 and bFGF than Nao'an Capsule. CONCLUSION: The neuroprotective effects of Naoluo Xintong Recipe may be related to its up-regulation of HSP70 and bFGF in the rat brain after focal cerebral ischemia.
2.Research advance of immune nutrients in cancer therapy
Parenteral & Enteral Nutrition 1997;0(03):-
The immune nutrients play an important role in nutritional support,immune regulation and maintenance of intestinal barrier function.In recent years,with the deepening study,the effect of immune nutrients in the comprehensive cancer treatment has constantly being recognized.Many studies have shown that glutamine (Gln),arginine (Arg) and polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) have effect on the tumor itself and the combination cancer chemotherapy.

Journal of Practical Obstetrics and Gynecology 2010;26(3):222-224,前插1
Objective:The pathogenesis of placental vascular disease(PVD) was further investigated. Methode:PVD group (study group) and normal pregnancy (control group) were recruited. Two-channel mi-croarray technique was applied to screen the most differently expressive genes of human genome, and veri-fied the different expressions in mRNA and protein levels by quantitative PCR and Westem-blot, also local-ized the expression of different genes in placental tissue by immunohistochemistry. Reeults:HspA6 and Hs-pA1A had extremely higher expression in placentas with PVD than normal pregnancy. These genes both en-coded Hsp70. Hsp70 was mostly expressed in endothelial and smooth muscle cells of placental microves-ssls. The expression of Hsp70 mRNA and protein were up-regulated in placental tissue and microvascular endothelial cells from PVD group compared with normal pregnancy ( P <0.05) ;The expression of Hsp70 mR-NA and protein had negative correlation with infant birth weight ( P < 0.05). Conclueione:Hsp70 was associ-ated with endothelial activation in the pathogenesis of PVD by initiating an innate immune response and in-flammatory reaction.

Objective To evaluate safety and validity of 3D video-assisted thoracoscopic technology in cardiac surgery.Methods Between October 2013 and July 2014,50 patients underwent 3 D Video-assisted thoracoscopic cardiac surgery including:5 atrial septal defect closure,1 ventricular septal defect closure,repairment of 1 unroofed coronary sinus,1 partial atrioventricular septal defect and 1 cor triatriatum,28 mitral valve replacement (1 re-MVR),1 tricuspid valve replacement,9 mitral valvuloplasty,2 left atrial myoxoma resection,and 1 left internal mammary artery harvest + minimally invasive direct coronary artery bypass.All procedures were performed under extracorporeal circulation,using 30° thoracoscope and 3D high resolution monitor.Results There was no perioperative death.One patient was converted to median sternotomy because of pericardial adhesions.Mean operative time was(232.8 ± 54.7) min,mean cardiopulmonary bypass time was(128.0 ±42.5) min,mean aortic cross-clamp time was (74.7 ± 25.1) min.Mean ICU stay was (30.4 ± 22.0) h,mean duration of mechanical ventilation was(13.7 ± 11.9) h.Mean postoperative drainage time was (3.34 ± 1.91) d,mean hospital stay was (6.52 ± 3.06) days.There were 11 (22%) operative complications,including 4 intrathoracic bleeding,1 wound infection,3 hemothorax,1 brachial plexus injury,1 intractable hiccup and 1 mild paravalvular leakage.Compared with 20 mitral valve replacement by 2D thoracoscopy,the 3 D group was slightly less time consuming(P > 0.05).Conclusion 3 D video-assisted thoracoscopic cardiac surgery is feasible and safe,and it' s worthwhile to promote this promising technology.

BACKGROUND:Gelatin-chitosan-hydroxyapatite-minocycline biomimetic nanocomposite materials were developed in our previous studies. OBJECTIVE:To observe the capability of gelatin-chitosan-hydroxyapatite-minocycline biomimetic nanocomposite materials in the repair of rabbit radius defects. METHODS: Thirty healthy adult New Zealand rabbits were selected to make critical-size lacunar bone defects of the upper radius (15 mm×6 mm). Then, the rabbit models were randomized into experimental group (n=15), autogenous bone graft group (n=10) and blank group (n=5). Gelatin-chitosan-hydroxyapatite-minocycline biomimetic nanocomposite materials were implanted into radial bone defects in the experimental group. Bone defect in blank group was implanted without any materials; in the autogenous bone graft group, the contralateral radius with same length was taken and implanted into the defect. General observation, histological observation and X-ray observation were performed respectively at 2, 4, 8, 12 weeks postoperatively. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:At 12 weeks after operation, the experimental group showed obvious new blood vessels at the defect region, complete bony union and disappearance of the composite implant, but lamelar bone structure appeared, smal blood vessels were visible, the edge of new bone was connected to the original bone edge, exhibiting a continuity of bone, the bone density was slightly lowered, and the defect region became unobvious. In the autogenous bone graft group, bony union and trabecular bone reconstruction were distinct, the lamelar bone became mature, the medulary cavity was recanalized, the fracture line disappeared completely, and the bone density was completely consistent with that of the original bone. In the blank group, there was no obvious bone formation, which led to bone nonunion, and there were a great amount of fiber tissues and inflammatory cel infiltrated. To sum up, the gelatin-chitosan-hydroxyapatite-minocycline biomimetic nanocomposite material can obviously promote the repair of critical-size bone defects, and the repairing effect is basicaly the same with that of autologous bone grafting.
10.Mechanism and Chemical Basis of the Effect of Bacteria on Urinary Stone Formation
Huan-Xin YUAN ; Yi-Ming LIU ; Jian-Ming OUYANG ;
Microbiology 1992;0(03):-
There are two populations of bacteria to affect the formation of urinary stones in humanity. The first one can promote the formation of urinary stone by increasing urinary pH, decreasing concentration of urinary inhibitors , and damaging the protective urothelial glycosaminoglycan layer. The second inhibit the formation of urinary stones. These bacteria ( mainly the intestinal oxalate degrading bacteria such as Oxalobacter formigenes, lactic acid bacteria, Enterococcus faecalis etc) can decrease urinary oxalate concentration by regulating exogenous oxalate. The problems faced and the developing direction were also indicated.
