Chinese Journal of Digestive Surgery 2010;9(3):177-179
Hilar cholangiocarcinoma still has a poor prognosis and a relatively low 5-year survival rate despite improvement of the resection rate and curative resection rate. Optimal surgical strategies should be chosen according to the balance between operation safety and curative resection. Extended resection and dissection of lymph nodes do not always ensure successful treatment. Preoperative evaluation of liver function should be carefully carried out. For patients with severe jaundice or those who undergo extensive hepatic resection, preoperative biliary drainage, portal vein embolization and a precise hepatec-tomy technique should be carried out to improve the safety of the operation. Assessment of resectability should be carried out to avoid unnecessary laparotomy, and endoscopic drainage is preferable in dealing with unresectable tumors. The aim of palliative treatment is to relieve biliary obstruction, prolong life and improve the quality of life. Biological characteristics of hilar cholangiocarcinoma need to be taken into account and multi-modality therapy is required to improve treatment. The survival rate of patients with hilar cholangiocarcinoma may be improved by comprehensive treatment. Populations with high risks should be monitored and screened to find patients at early stages of the disease.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Medicine 2010;25(3):236-239
Objective:To observe the therapeutic effect of nerve block therapy guided by electric stimulation on the relief of pain and the improvement of function in patients with low back pain(LBP).Method:A total of 78 LBP patients were divided into nerve block treatment group(n=40)and traditional treatment group(n=38)randomly.The nerve block treatment group was injected with Betamethasone compound 2mg and Lidocaine 2ml guided by electric stimulation. The physical modalities and exercises therapy were applied in the traditional treatment group. The pain was evaluated with visual analogue scale(VAS)before treatment and 1 d,1 and 2 weeks after treatment. The function of lumbar was assessed before and after the treatment with performance assessment scale for the treatment of lumbar vertebral diseases.Result:The effective rate in treatment group was 100.0%,in traditional group was 86.8%:the improvement rate in treatment group was 96.6%.in traditional group was 64.3%:there were significant differences between two groups (P<0.01).Conclusion:Nerve block therapy guided by electric stimulation display significant effect on relief the low back pain and improve the function of lumbar vertebrae.

BACKGROUND: In recent years, nanoparticles has been rapidly developing in tumor hyperthermia, genophore research, and targeted drug therapy, particularly nanoparticle containing drug delivery systems will become another breach in tumor therapy.OBJECTIVE: To summarize the application and mechanism of superparamagnetic nanoparticles for cancer treatment in the medical field.METHODS: A computer-based online search was conducted in Medline for English language publications containing the key words of "superparamagnetic, nanoparticles, targeting" from January 2000 to October 2009. Relevant articles were also searched from CNKI with the same key words in Chinese from January 2005 to October 2009.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: A total of 123 articles about targeting role of magnetic nanoparticles were included, and there were 24 in Chinese and 108 in English. Articles published earlier, duplicated, and similarly were excluded, and 30 references were finally included. Superparamagnetic nanoparticles characterized by targeting role under external magnetic field, and crystal of ferroso-ferric oxide did not has toxicity to cells. As a gene carrier and drug carrier, superparamagnetic nanoparticles were widely used in medical research and they also provided novel evidences for cancer treatment. By an external magnetic field, how to avoid a comprehensive system of phagocytic endothelial phagocytosis and prevent the course of treatment such as drug-induced thrombus is still inadequate.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1987;0(03):-
AIM The purpose is to study the effect of Di p Cl benzoyl linesinine on experimental arrhythmias. METHODS The models used were caused by aconitine, ouabain and CaCl 2 repectively. RESULTS Di p Cl benzoyl linesinine 5 mg?kg -1 could increase the threshold dose of ventricular ectopic(VE), ventricular tachyacardia(VT), ventricular fibrillation(VF) and cardiac arrest(CA) caused by aconitine in rats and that by ouabain in ginuea pigs; delay the onset time of arrhythmia and decrease the incidence of VE,VF and CA induced by CaCl 2 in rats. CONCLUSION Di p Cl benzoyl linesinine possesses extensive effects of antiarrhythmia on ventricle.
9.The pilot study on mutations of HIV-1 envelop V3 loop in AIDS patients in Shenzhen
Chinese Journal of Infectious Diseases 2001;0(05):-
Objective To investigate the characteristics of human immunodeficiency virus(HIV-1)V3 loop amino acid mutations among AIDS patients in Shenzhen. Methods Fragments of HIV-1 env gene were amplified by RT-nested-polymerase chain reaction(PCR)from plasma of the AIDS patients in Shenzhen. The PCR products were then directly sequenced and the sequences were aligned, translated and analyzed. Results Sequence analysis showed that there were B and CRF01-AE HIV-1 subtypes in Shenzhen. The V3 loop terra peptide GPGQ accounted for about 48%,GPGR about 36%,other V3 loop terra peptide forms were 16%;the V3 loop central motif in the majority(76.9%)of the CRF01-AE strains was GPGQ,the majority(75%)of the B strains was GPGR.We also found some unusual terra peptide compositions:DQDR and DQGQ on the tip of V3 loop, some amino acid mutations at specific of V3 loop associated with SI phenotype were very common in AIDS patients(80%). Conclusions The V3 loop amino acid mutations were very common in AIDS patients, the V3 loop central motif in the majority was GPGQ and GPGR in Shenzhen, the mutations shows the change of HIV-1 phenotype and predicts that disease progress to AIDS.

Objective To observe the effect of multiple interventions on secondary epilepsy patients. Methods 114 secondary epilepsy patients were randomly divided into the intervention group and control group with 57 cases in each group. The cases in the intervention group received multiple interventions including heath education, psychological treatment, safety nursing, overdose administration, early rehabilitation, discharge guide and so on besides usual nursing. While, the cases in the control group received usual nursing. The follow-up was performed for 6 months and the therapeutic efficacy of two groups was compared. Results After multiple interventions, the seizure frequency and trauma incidence rate decreased, compliance and quality of life increased in patients of the intervention group, and there was a significant difference compared with the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Multiple interventions can decrease seizure frequency and increase compliance of treatment and quality of life of secondary epilepsy patients.
