OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the status quo and tendency of the utilization of lipid-lowering drugs in our hospital.METHODS:The utilization of lipid-lowering drugs in our hospital between 2005 and 2008 was analyzed statistically by ranking consumption sum and DDDs.RESULTS:The consumption sum of lipid-lowering drugs had a sharp increase during 2007～2008 as compared with 2005～2006,its proportion in the drugs for cardiovascular diseases increased to some degree.During 2007～2008,Statins took the first two places on the annual consumption list,its use gained popularity and its DDDs increased.The application of Fibrates also took an upward trend.CONCLUSION:The use of lipid-lowering drugs in our hospital had been on the rise,with Statins and Fibrates took the predominant places,which is in line with the requirement of evidence-based medicine.

The effect of traditional therapy is limited for liver cancer,gene therapy gets more and more recognition in recent years.Oncolysis virus is a kind of conditionally replicating virus,with special reproductivity in cancer cells,and then kills them.Gene agents are usually introduced into tumor tissue by intra-tumor and intra-arterial injection,and the technique of interventional therapy is able to satisfy the demand excellently.So,some breakthrough is expected in treating liver cancer by skillfully combining oncolysis virus and interventional technique

In recent years, the number of outpatients in stomatological hospital is in increasing year by year and being accompanied by the corresponding medical risks. One of the risks which may endanger the patient life is medical emergency which need emergency treatment by the dentists in dental clinical practice. The most common emergency type is syncope, followed by hyperventilation, drug overdose, adrenaline reaction and hypertension, etc. Unexpected events mainly occurred at the end of the treatment and before leaving the dental clinic, during or immediately after the local anesthesia, in the treatment process. Tooth extraction related emergency is the most frequently occurring emergency, followed by the local anesthesia related ones. It's strongly suggested that dentists should pay more attention to outpatient clinical emergency treatment, and related knowledge and skills training should be offered to improve the ability to handle medical emergencies.

OBJECTIVE:To observe clinical efficacy and safety of Xianlinggubao combined with alendronate sodium in the treatment of osteoporosis. METHODS:112 patients with osteoporosis were randomly divided into treatment group and control group with 56 cases in each group. Both group were given routine treatment as calcium carbonate,vitamin D and life style. Control group were given alendronate sodium 10 mg orally,qd;treatment group was additionally given Xianlinggubao capsule 1.5 g,bid, on the basis of control group. Both groups received 12 weeks of treatment. The levels of S-Ca,S-P,24 h urinary calcium(U-Ca), alkaline phosphatase(ALP),osteocalcin,IL-6,bone mineral density(BMD)of L2-4 lumbar spine and femoral neck were observed in 2 groups before and after treatment. Clinical efficacy and toxic reaction were compared. RESULTS:There was no statistical sig-nificance in the levels of S-P and S-Ca between 2 groups after treatment(P>0.05);the level of ALP、osteocalcin、BMD increased in treatment group after treatment,the level of U-Ca and IL-6 decreased compared to before treatment,and the treatment group was better than the control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05). Total effective rate of treatment group(92.86%)was sig-nificantly higher than that of control group (73.21%),with statistical significance (P<0.05). No obvious toxic side effects was found in 2 groups. CONCLUSIONS:Xianlinggubao combined with alendronate sodium shows significant therapeutic efficacy for patients with osteoporosis with good safety.

OBJECTIVE: To study the situation and the related factors of ADR occurred in our hospital and to provide references for rational use of drug. METHODS: A total of 246 ADR case reports collected in our hospital from Nov. 2007 to Oct. 2008 were analyzed statistically. RESULTS: Of the 246 ADR cases, 120 kinds of drugs were involved. 64.63% of ADR were induced by intravenous drip infusion; 42.28% were antimicrobial,13.01% were drugs for central nervous system, 10.57% were for circulation system, 7.32% were TCM preparation; ADR-inducing TCM injection accounted for 50.00% in TCM preparations. The main clinical manifestation represented as lesion of skin and its appendants (51.63%). 11 severe cases accounted for 4.47% and 1 new cases only 0.41%. CONCLUSION: ADR may be caused by many factors. The most attention should be paid to monitoring ADR in the clinic so as reduce or avoid occurrence of ADR.

Purpose: To evaluate the effect and safety of combination chemotherapy with oxaliplatin( L-OHP) plus 5-fluorouracil(5-FU)/folinic acid( CF) in advanced colorectal cancer( ACRC). Methods: 31 patients with ACRC entered the study. L-OHP 130 mg/m2 , iv infusion for 4 hours on day 1; CF 200 mg/m2 , iv infusion for 2 hours followed by 5-FU 500mg/ m , iv infusion for 4 hours from day 1 to day 5, repeated every 3 weeks. Results: There were 10 partial responses, 7 stable disease, 9 progressive disease, the response rate being 38. 5% . The main adverse effect was neuro-sensory toxicity which was seen in 90. 3% of the patients. Vomitting and diarrhea was observed in 58. 1% and 45. 2% of the patients respectively. Bone marrow suppression was mild. Conclusions: L-OHP combination with 5-FU/CF yields an encouraging response with acceptable toxicity in our study. Furthermore clinical reseach is worthwhile.

[Objective]To probe the probability of autologous platelet-rich glue(PRG) combined with particulate of cancellous bone in treating the aseptic tibial nonunion.[Method]Sixty patients with tibial nonunion in distal 1/3 fragment were randomly divided into 2 groups.Each group had thirty patients.PRG combined with particulate of autogenous cancellous bone was transplanted in the experimental group while particulate of cancellous bone was applied in the control group.The mean time to the operation was 10.5 months(7-36 months) and the average age were 38 years old.The postoperative systemic and local reaction,and X-ray finings of tibial nonunion were observed.The average follow-up was 22 months.According to the Johner-Wruh scoring system the results were statistically analyzed.[Result]At 8 months bony union was all achieved.There was a remarkable difference between those of experimental and control groups.[Conclusion]PRG had an important role in speeding bone healing,and the combination of PRG and particulate of autogenous cancellous bone is an ideal alternative of bone transplantation.

Objective To study the clinical features and treatment of horizontal canal benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (HC-BPPV).Methods The clinical features of 27 patients with HC-BPPV and the treatment results with otolith repositioning maneuver of Barbecue rotation were analyzed retrospectively.Results All the patients with HC-BPPV had vertigo attack and this kind of vertigo attack presented with some characters such as brief, positioning, latency and no fatigability. Geotropic nystagmus was seen in 21 patients and apogeotropic nystagmus was seen in 6 patients when head was turned to either side in supine position. After Barbecue rotation, all symptoms disappeared in patients with geotropic nystagmus and did not change in patients with apogeotropic nystagmus.Conclusions The diagnosis of HC-BPPV is based on typical clinical features and test of turning head to either side in supine position. Geotropic nystagmus is associated with canalithiasis and apogeotropic nystagmus is associated with cupulolithiasis, and the therapy of Barbecue rotation is very effective to HC-BPPV patients with geotropic nystagmus.
