Objective The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between oxygen consumption (VO2) after recovery from incremental maximal exercise and the levels of the blood lactate (HLa), glucose and alanine metabolism. Method The VO2, HLa and plasma alanine were obtained using a modified version of Bruce' s protocol 30 min after exhaustion for 10 men. Result The VO2 after recovery has returned to the pre - exercise, but the HLa concentrations and plasma alanine were significantly increased from rest to maximal exercise, and were significantly decreased thereafter, but remained above resting values for 30 min after maximal stage. Conclusion we conclude that oxygen consumption after exhaustive maximal exercise is related to glucose resyntbesis through alanine metabolism, as compared with that from lactate metabolism.

Objective To research a more effective method of full-text retrieval of electronic care record (ECR), which avails clinical work, medical research and ECR management. Methods Based on full -text retrieval by keyword, by changing the form of ECR with XML,a full-text retrieval system of ECR based on Lucene was built. Results The system testing showed that the precision ratio of ECR retrieval was raised. Conclusion The full-text retrieval system of ECR meets the design requirements and the function needs.

Background Corneal transplantation is an effective treatment to severe corneal diseases,but the shortage of cornea donor limits its application.Tissue-engineered cornea is being a new approach to corneal diseases.Objective This study was to investigate the possibility of construction of tissue-engineered corneal epithelium by culturing human amniotic mesenchymal stem cells (hAMSCs) in vitro.Methods Fresh human amniotic membranes were obtained under the approval of Ethic Committee of Affiliated First Hospital of Jinan University and informed consent of maternal women.The 6 cm×6 cm amniotic membrane tissue explant was digested using trypsin+ EDTA,and then the amniotic epithelial cells (AECs) were scraped before putting into collagenase Ⅱ digestion medium to isolate hAMSCs.hAMSCs of passage 3 were cultured to achive 80％-90％ confluence,and then the ceils were incubated on rabbit deepithelial corneal stroma at a 1 ×105/ml density.The corneal stroma was co-cuhured with hAMSCs at an air-liquid interface till 14 days.Rabbit deepithelial corneal stroma with and without hAMSCs (experimental group and control group) were fixed in 4％ para formaldehyde, and sections were prepared for histopathological examination.Immunochemistry and immunofluorescence were empoyed to detect the expressions of cytokeratin3 (CK3) and CK12 in hAMSCs.Results hAMSCs grew well and formed a stratified epidermal structure resembling native corneal epithelium on rabbit corneal stroma in cultured 14 days in the experimental group,with the oval nucleus at basement and fusiform nucleus on the surface of corneal stroma.There was no cell structure in the control group.Immunochemistry revealed brown staining for CK3, CK12 in cytoplasm of hAMSCs on the rabbits corneal stroma,and the green fluorescence for CK3 and CK12 was also seen in the hAMSCs.However,the response for CK3 and CK12 was absent in the control sections either immunochemistry or immunofluorescence test.Conclusions hAMSCs can be induced to differentiate into corneal epithelioid cells at an air-liquid interface on the rabbit corneal stroma.

Objective To study surgical techniques for the treatment of traumatic recurrent dislocation of the peroneal tendons. Methods A total of 21 cases of traumatic dislocation of the peroneal tendons from 1986 to 2003 were treated with the Watson-Jones operation. Results A follow-up series was carried out in 15 cases for 1~15 years (mean, 4.9 years). Recurrence of dislocation occurred in 1 case, as a result of trauma, while the rest of 14 cases had returned to normal sports or competitions. Conclusions The Watson-Jones operation for recurrent dislocation is technically feasible and minimally invasive, offering satisfactory outcomes.

This paper reviewed the content and methods about assistive technology adaptation and assessment for speech therapists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, assistive technology experts and so on.

Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of (1,3)-β-D-glucan assay (G test) in the plasma of premature infants with invasive fungal infection(IFI) and determinate the best diagnostic value of G test.Methods The premature infants who were at risk of IFI from NICU were enrolled in Shengjing Hospital of China Medical University from July 2010 to September 2011.The concentration of (1,3)-β-D-glucan were detected by GKT-5MSet microbial dynamic detection system,and the fungal and bacterial culture were performed in the same samples of blood.We used to perform statistic analysis for sensitivity,specificity,positive predictive value and negative predictive value at different cutoff values,and draw receiver operating characteristic curve for G test.Results Forty-four infants were eligible for the study,of 17 permature infants with IFI,and of 27 ones with non IFI,in whom bacterial culture was positive in 12 cases and culture was negative in 15 cases.The concentration of (1,3)-β-D-glucan in IFI group [5 ～ 3 117 pg/ml,median (Q75-25)190.60(501.44) pg/ml] was higher than that in non IFI group[5.0 ～434.3 pg/ml,median(Q75-25) 5.86(5.62) pg/ml],the difference was significant(Z =-3.77,P ＜ 0.01).15 pg/ml was the best cutoff value,and the area under curve was 0.839,95 ％ CI(0.697,0.980).Conclusion G test is useful in the diagnosis of IFI in premature infants with high sensitivity and specificity.G test can be used for the screening of high-risk patients with high risk of fungal infection ratio.
